  1. Nobody can out recruit USC when they are rolling. Cmon.
  2. I’m not sure why USC wouldn’t throw a huge offer to Lincoln Riley. He would be a moron to pick LSU over USC.
  3. I’m dropping a rage on anyone who puts disgusting cocktail onions in their martini. What an abomination. Turrible. If someone doesn’t like olive, why not go with a lemon twist?

    NBA 2021-2022

Funny enough I just traded LeBron James for Isaiah Stewart and James Wiseman in my dynasty league. It is like they knew.
  5. My main complaint against Shaka was that he abandoned Havok from the start of his tenure even though we had some teams that would have been a perfect fit for it. Maddening. Then occasionally we would get down and employ a full court press and it would look great. He clearly knows how to coach that style. And the fans love it. I will never understand his stubborn refusal to do what he is best at and what the fans are begging for.
  6. I'm not ashamed to say that Licon is my favorite player on the team. Can you imagine our starters having to go up against Licon, Benson and Cunningham every day in practice? The hustle those guys bring is great.
  7. KD had a much better handle than this kid. And a MUCH sweeter looking stroke. But Holmgren looks to have more natural defensive instincts. I'm personally not ready to anoint this kid yet. He isn't playing in high school anymore. We will see how he does with physical 22 yr olds (much less grown men in the NBA).
  8. Shockingly (or rather Shaka’ingly) he didn’t cover the 20 point spread against an overmatched opponent in the opener.
  9. Licon isn’t just a garbage practice team player. He has some actual basketball skillz. He averaged 20 pts 8 reb for Sul Ross. He is actually the leading rebounder in program history. As a 6’1 point guard. I would actually like to see what he could do in a real situation.
  10. Carr may be undersized for the NBA but he is perfect for CBB. He is built like a man out there and knows how to create space with his size and strength. For that matter, how nice is it to have a full squad of grown asses men. Lots of poise. Limited mistakes. What a luxury.
  11. Carr reminds me a little of Jrue Holiday but without the elite defense. Really good size and strength for a PG. And Timmy Allen plays much more like a small forward than I thought he would. I was expecting more of a 3/4, but he is a perfect positionless forward for Chris Beard.
  12. Too bad there isn’t a line on this game in my sports book. I’m going with UT 92, HB 55. But it might not be that close. Our 12th best player might be better than anyone on their roster.
  13. Our season starts tonight against mighty Houston Baptist. Get yourself to the FEC and support the team in person. Otherwise the game is on LHN. CBS has Houston Baptist ranked #335 out of 358 teams. Nevertheless, we are doomed.
  14. Meh, I'm rooting for him. Everyone is in a better situation. I hope he wins big there.
  15. I think Allen is the type of guy who just quietly scores a bunch of points. He seems to be in the right place at the right time. Offensive rebound put-backs and other garbage buckets. You look up an are like, how TF does Timmy have 18 points???
  16. Fair, but I’m not sure All PAC 1st team is actually better than All Big 12 2nd team, which Jones achieved last year. Regardless, both are better than Ramey and TONS better than Cunningham.
  17. I think he is. Carr is the starting PG and Timmy Allen is going to start at the 3 or 4. Jones is our best SG and our 2nd best SF. If we go big, Jones will start at the 2. If we go small, Jones will start at the 3 (with Allen at the 4). Who do you envision starting over him in either scenario? The only scenario I can see is starting Askew and Carr at the two guard spots with Allen as the SF. But I would much rather bring Askew off the bench with Ramey.
  18. I think the only ones we can guarantee will be starting are Marcus Carr, Timmy Allen and Andrew Jones. Whether we go small with Allen at the 4 or big with him at the 3 remains to be seen. I personally like going smaller like we did last night and especially think we will need Ramey's shooting and perimeter defense. But I can also see it looking like this: Starters PG - Marcus Carr SG - Andrew Jones SF - Timmy Allen PF - Dylan Disu C - Tre Mitchell Bench PG - Devin Askew SG - Courtney Ramey SF - Jase Febres PF - Jaylon Tyson / Brock Cunningham PF - Christian Bishop Which still proves my point that the 2nd unit is salty AF. Askew looked like the real deal to me last night. It wouldn't surprise me if the above 2nd unit beat the starters on any given day.
  19. This team is SOOOOO deep. The deepest of any Texas team I can remember. Whether the starting 5 are the most talented or not is debatable, but our second 5 would be reasonably competitive and have loads of starting experience. Askew - 20 starts at UK, 5 star Febres - 61 starts at UT Tyson - Natl top-35 freshman Disu - 48 starts, SEC leading rebounder Mitchell - 41 starts, 1st team A10 Crap, our last guy off the bench is the 2nd all time leading scorer at Sul Ross. Practices must be insane pitting these guys against each other and then having blue collar guys like Brock Cunningham and Avery Benson coming in and bloodying people up. The most amazing thing will be keeping everyone happy if they aren’t getting many minutes.
  20. For whoever asked about our ability to hit 3’s, we are going to be fine. Ramey and Febres are both very good from 3. Tre Mitchell shot 38% from 3 last year, which is great for a big. Disu shot 37%.
  21. At one point, he was the 4th best player on his own team. 1. Durant 2. Steph 3. Draymond (2017 3rd team NBA, DPOY) 4. Klay
  22. Klay needs to pipe down. He is not close to a top-75 player at this point. He is a lot closer to Kevin Love than he is to Tony Parker or Dwight. Klay Thompson - 4x All-Star, 2x All-NBA (3rd x 2), 0 top-10 MVP finishes, #20 career 3s, 1 Title as #2, 2 Titles as #3, HoF probability 51.3% Kevin Love - 5x All-Star, 2x All-NBA (2nd x 2), 1 top-10 MVP finish, 1 Title as #3, 1x REB leader, HoF probability 73.5% Tony Parker - 6x All-Star, 4x All-NBA (2nd x 3, 3rd), 4 top-10 MVP finishes, #19 career AST, #57 career PTS, 3 Titles as #2, 1 Title as #3, Finals MVP, HoF probability 93.9% Dwight Howard - 8x All-Star, 5x All-NBA 1st Team, 5 top-10 MVP finishes, 3x DPoY, 6x REB leader, Dunk Champ, #7 career FG%, #12 career REB, #15 career BLK, 1 Title as #4, HoF probability 99.7%
