  1. Man… Cameron was laying there in serious Payne.
  2. The nugget cheap shot thrower F’ed around. And then he found out. I enjoyed it. He got off easy.
  3. We were flying SWA from Kona to Honolulu a week ago and we're in row ~7. A husband and wife were sitting in row 1 on our side. The plan was probably 30-40% full. Husband is a 60s black guy wearing a straw fedora. Wife is a late 40s bleached blonde high maintenance Karen. Last passenger gets on. Cool you everyone can stretch out. Tona of room. But wait there's one more passenger. Clueless 20 yr old Japanese lady boards... and proceeds to sit between the husband and wife. They are like "there are 100 seats open behind us!-$-?!". She is "no I want to sit here". Stewardess says sorry it is open seating. Anyone is free to sit where they want. If the husband and wife want to sit together they can move to the back of he plane. Much drama and mouthing off from the couple until the stewardess says with another word they are all off the plane. Nobody moves it says anything. Flight takes off. Things appear to cool down. Japanese lady still sitting between them. Now black guy decides he is done wearing a mask and done with this BS. Stands up and starts acting hostile. Stewardess talks him down and he and the wife file to the back of the plane for the last 10 min of the flight. Japanese woman now gets the row to herself. Winning, lol. We land and there are 7 of the biggest cops I have ever seen waiting for the couple. It was all highly entertaining. Why they didn't just tell her she could have the aisle or window and sit together I have no idea.p. People are going crazy.
  4. For the IS, I might honestly play Bron at center. Go with: Steph Harden Kawhi Durant LeBron Then Lilllard, AD off the bench.
  5. In the end he can always go G-League or Europe. It isn't like he is completely screwed if he is undrafted. Either of those are probably better options for him at this point.
  6. Just got back from the Big Island as well. Stayed at Mauna Kea Resort for a few nights, then a Hilo AirBNB, then Volcano, then Courtyard in Kona. Overall great trip with the family. Here are some pics:
  7. It annoys me that we sent so many vaccines up to the panhandle during the early vaccine rollout and had to wait months for them elsewhere. Many of those counties were giving them to young people because they ran out of olds who wanted them. Meanwhile in the Austin area we had old people waiting months (and likely dying). Get vaccinated, moerans.
  8. Lulz at Joe Ingles ignoring Mitchell frantic demands for the ball and just casually dribbling up and knocking down the 3. Haha.
  9. Gobert looks like Beaker from the Muppets
  10. Brown had an open lane, but good defense by Lopez to close it back down. He should have kicked it to Joe Harris who looked to be wide open. Or better yet call timeout and work up a play to free Durant.
  11. All of those comparisons are fair. And all of them could have been the #1 guy on a title team. But they all would need help.
  12. I can see your point regarding -3.5. I think if I was going to bet anything it would be the Nets ML if you can get decent odds.
  13. Look, as I said Tatum isn't as good as Durant or LeBron. I'm not going to argue that. But for their 22 yr old season, Tatum had a higher eFG% than either LeBron or Durant. He turned it over less. He shot better from 3. He was a vastly better FT shooter than LeBron. Yes, he scored less than either of them... but only because he played 10%+ fewer minutes. He outscored both of them per 36 min. Also, win shares isn't a great comparison at that age because: Less games were played this year for Jaylen Brown Tatum gives up a lot of WS to Jaylen Brown and Kemba. At 22, LeBron's next best player was Larry Hughes. Durant also dominated WS for OKC as Westbrook & Harden were still young <15 ppg scorers at that point. Not sure why I'm defending Tatum honestly. I'm not actually a huge fan, lol.
  14. It is an absolute must win for Milwaukee. I still think they will lose, but I wouldn't bet that game.
  15. Domantas Sabonis is also 24 and putting up some pretty salty stats: 20.3 pts, 12.0 reb, 6.7 ast, 1.2 stl with 53.5% FG, 32.1% 3PT, 73.2% FT
  16. It is crazy that Jayson Tatum is only 22. I keep forgetting that as it seems like he has been in the NBA forever. Here is how he compares to LeBron and Durant at 22. I'm not saying that Tatum is going to be the next LeBron or Durant, but he compares pretty favorably at this point. He is a better shooter than either of them were at this stage, which is amazing to think about. Also, for those who say none of these guys could be the #1 option on a title team, I think there is a reasonable chance that Donovan Mitchell proves you wrong this year. Utah is really rolling.
  17. What are we gonna do when the Suns win the title and Booker averages something like 40 a game? Nobody talks about him being the next superstar. But he could write his destiny these playoffs.
  18. I guess the difference is that with Durant and LBJ you could see it within a year or two as they made runs to the finals so early on. It was just a matter of time till they got one. With Giannis, I’m not sure he will get there.
  19. I'm not sure I would call those teams "great". They were about average as far as NBA Finals teams go IMO. 2016 - Cavs went 57-25 (0.695) in the regular season. They would have probably lost 4-1 to the Warriors were it not for the Draymond nut punch. 2017 - Cavs went 51-31 (0.622) in the regular season. Made it to the finals and lost 4-1 to the Warriors. Regarding Giannis, I just don't think he makes others around him better. It is more about his style of play than anything else. He also doesn't seem to have the ultra-elite basketball IQ that guys like LBJ, Durant, and MJ have. He doesn't seem to have a sense of the moment. Maybe that will come. I'm surprised that people always seem to rate Giannis above Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi can absolutely dominate a game on the defensive end... and then assassinate you on the offensive end. By the time Kawhi was 26 yrs old, he had won TWO NBA DPoY awards, had won a title, had a Finals MVP, and had 2 1st Team NBA selections. When Kawhi was 24-26, he was shooting 40.7% 3PT, 49.4% FG and 87.8% FT.
  20. We stayed at a bunch of places in Hawaii over the last week. My observation was that in the higher end places the clientele were much fitter and less tatted. As the places got cheaper, we saw more tattoos and fatter people. Public beaches were the worst. Shocking, I know. Mauna Kea on the Big Island was nice.
  21. Also interesting that Febres has 61 careers starts and isn’t being considered for much of a role at all. Shows how deep this team is.
  22. I don’t see Askew starting over Ramey. For me, Ramey, Jones and Allen are all starting and playing crunch time. The big question to me is which two of Askew, Bishop and Disu are in the closing 5. I think it will be: Askew, Ramey, Jones, Allen and Disu. I realize that is smaller than what we are used to, but is it so different than what Baylor won the title with (height wise)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I’m guessing that shot is from the Hyatt Regency East Tower, directly across from my room in the West Tower where I’m typing this. Also first time in Waikiki. Just stayed a night here after a week on the Big Island.
  24. Trick question. Most of the dudes mentioned in this thread won’t be in heaven.
  25. Just for clarity, I wasn’t suggesting trading PG13 for Dragic, Conley or any of the other free agents. They are free agents. No need to trade for them. I suppose salary cap could be a problem.
