  1. That's what I was afraid of, it has looked like a mess when I have driven by.
  2. Has anyone used Uber after the game? I've driven by the pickup spot but it has looked pretty disorganised.
  3. You left out cats, apparently they aren't safe either.
  4. We have landed on a new land and burned the boats... Lets go!
  5. I know I guy that donated his jet... to his ex-wife.
  6. My tickets show on the app, along with OU Section 7 Row 7, but I need to sell a few from the season and it says "No eligible tickets" when I try to do that. I'm assuming that means it's not final.
  7. Easier for him to swallow than the concept that they were prospering off of Texas and OU's popularity. He should be looking into how to pay for the Toilet on the Brazos now that his welfare state has collapsed.
  8. I'm gonna guess most of the people in the room don't, maybe even some of the speakers. But it probably would look bad to some portion of their base if they didn't bitch. Short answer, nope, nobody on here!
  9. Thanks, it would have been longer but kids and job made it a difficult streak to continue. I opted out last year, so all told I've missed a dozen since the Tech game in '69
  10. Does anyone have any idea how much debt Baylor took on for the McLennan County Memorial Toilet Seat?
  11. Yeah, but what else do they have to hold on to right now? A week ago, they had no idea this was coming (so soon anyway). Now we are on the cusp of being it all being official. That's not a lot of time to accept that their welfare state has collapsed.
  12. I was there with you, but I was 9. It was a beat down and the first home game of the glorious 1969 season. 49-7, there were wooden bleachers on the south end zone side, where we sat, and the old scoreboard. I wouldn't miss a home game for the next 40 years.
  13. I don't think you can go back to the alumni center anymore. I think that stopped with beer sales, unless they are able to close off the street. My family did 48 seasons in Sec 6 ow 57/59 they are great seats but I took the plunge and moved to the Centennial Suite in '19. It's great if you want A/C, TV's with extra features, and a less jumbotron dominated experience. The down sides are of course the price, and an insane difference between the first two rows and the top three as far as viewing experience. But if wife wants/needs A/C it could be worth it. Happy wife...
  14. I'm no expert, but I kind of doubt you would have enough loyalty points to make the cut off. There should be some tickets come open on Stubhub, but they are likely to be pricey this year.
  15. I'm curious, do you usually hang with soccer hooligans?
  16. Most of the reasons have already been touched on, but don't underestimate the long term effect of the parasites. All the schools get the same payout, but if you are not bringing as much to the table as you are taking away it ultimately is unsustainable. TCU, Rice, and Baylor were for the most part happy to take a beating to take a check. I've seen lots of High School stadiums that were superior to what TCU and Baylor were happy to play in back in the 60's and 70's. Sure, they improved (with the money the other schools brought in) over the last few years, but without us being their sugar daddy let's just see where that goes.
  17. I'll give you that, and throw in Brimstone Whisky.
  18. Can you leave the Home Depot and the Polaris dealer? Otherwise I’m with you.
  19. There is nothing that could befall Baylor that would make me feel sorry for them. I spend a good bit of time in McLennan County and I avoid Waco when possible.
  20. Well again, wealth is a relative thing. I have friends vastly more wealthy than I am and friends with vastly less. So perhaps I am relative to you. But I'd be willing to wager the other way.
  21. Well, I don't see as well as I used to and wealth is a relative thing, but I'd probably be willing to compare net worth with you.
  22. if it gets one sided does one school claim a "rash" of victories?
  23. ASU? Doesn't Angelo State count West Texas A&M as their rival already? ;D
  24. I've lived in the Metroplex since '91, I hardly ever meet a Tech fan or even see any Tech swag, don't meet too many SMU fans either. My impression is that neither one has much of a following up here. As far as meeting Tech fans, to be fair, I don't go through the drive-thru as much as I used to.
