  1. I would listen to Craig Way call curling. Klatt is good. Miss Keith Jackson, but by the time he called our 2005 NC game he was a shadow of his former self. Hear me out on this, a couple of times I was driving out of Austin after a game and trying to find something to listen to. Found Dave South calling an Aggy game. He was so freaking bad and emergency Looch level of homer that I laughed for hours. The best would be a close game with them losing. It was often impossible to tell what was really going on, but you could read throughout his tone and delivery that the Fightn texum aggys were going to drop another one. I haven’t had a chance to listen to their new guy, of course I hope he is just as ridiculous but really what are the odds.
  2. Really? And how did that work out for us when Gilbert DID get playing time?
  3. TCU was a parasite on the SWC. Only got serious when they were faced with possibly dropping down a level. The whole "nobody wants to play us" attitude was also C.S. So far I'm enjoying this immensely!
  4. Well, if you're going to be loyal to Ford, you might as well pair that up with the Lions!
  5. They may do that, but they do a great job of keeping morale low.
  6. Been living this particular disaster on and off for 20+ years. Can affirm there is truth in this. However, HR is awful because they produce nothing but justification for their own existence/expansion/drag on the company. They don't really protect the company, but they have to convince the company that they do.
  7. Damn, sorry to hear it. Hoping for victories in the fight.
  8. Back about '81 a guy offered to sell me a '67 Vette. White over blue convertible, factory side pipes, close ratio 4. IIRC it was 427 w/ 3-2 barrels. Needed paint and front suspension was making noise. Hate to think how much that one is worth right about now, but like most of life, I didn't need a project so I passed. Still, he let me drive it for the weekend and it was a blast. I think he wanted $2000.
  9. I like that a lot, but it was an era rich with choices!
  10. Well we can't go that far back with Buicks unless we add Rain Man's Roadmaster. Are we going to take this all the way back to the ones built under Walter Chrysler?
  11. Oh you poor youngsters. That's not a buick, This is a buick
  12. Maybe now would be a good time to just forgive Bayless and the other guy that made the stupid tweets. They were just that, uninformed, spur of the moment thoughts (like an overwhelming majority of social media). So let it go. Focus on doing what good you can today, contribute to Damar's foundation if you are so inclined and able. Let those close to you know you love them. Any of us could find ourselves or our loved ones waking up in the hospital tomorrow, don't wait for it to actually happen to start living a better life.
  13. Have to put in a word for the recently departed Mike Leach. I mean how does “swing your sword” not fit in here?
  14. Sounds like you would be lucky to be 141st.
  15. Should we clearly define whistleblower in this case?
  16. Gotta pull for Georgia after the way I was treated in Ohio. Go Dawgs!
  17. Don't know if he is actually a locker room cancer, but he has to be a distraction by now. At the pre game presser he really came across as a lot less focused than the other guys. Looks like he is either unhappy here for some reason or out looking for the best cash offer. Either way he seems to have turned himself into an "addition by subtraction" kind of guy.
  18. It's probably easier for me to be okay with this years performance, since I greatly underestimated the progress of the O line. Going into the season with projections of freshmen on the O line and a freshman QB, I had little hope that we would even make it to a bowl game. When Neyor went down for the season, I figured that opposing D coaches would game plan around stopping/limiting Bijan and that we would be screwed. I figured we would lose to UTSA and OU, probably lose to ISU, K-State and Baylor. I'm on the same page as Doc Daneeka, I'm not sure that Sark is it and I'm not sure he's not. I see some encouraging things, I like his calm demeanor and I like his coaching hires (something I never liked under Herman or Strong). My guess is he will be here at least two more years and that will be an appropriate amount of time to figure it out. In the words of the great Gene Krantz...
  19. I was worried he would portal, now I'm worried he won't.
