  1. hard times create strong men
  2. just trying to get a leg up in life, smh
  3. If this is the metric, it would follow that the weakest men were born from the 50s-90s. Exactly the demographic that would be in charge of running everything now. Oh....
  4. This is the only reference to that in the article: Gonna need to see a cite on that. And not just a link to the FT article from the "Ukrainians are Nazis" guy.
  5. That's the current working theory. Remember it started with: Q: Wow, young people are really down and pessimistic, what’s going on? A: We're being too nice to them
  6. That's fine. But perhaps next time, we don't spend 50 years doing the lion's share during peacetime, only to balk about participation rates when the bombs are failing on European cities.

  12. yeah that's all well and good until the Bene Gesserit show up
  13. what about Brock Osweiler to the Texans? That worked out pretty well, iirc
  14. Trump has 91 criminal charges filed against him in 4 separate indictments. Bolsonaro has zero, and only a "recommendation" that charges be filed. Why is the latter an example of holding someone accountable, while the former is not?
  15. Don't know how you all do it in Texas, but here's how it works where I practice: 1) Doubt is raised over the competency of a defendant 2) Criminal Proceedings are suspended for "restoration of competency." Defendant is sent to a lockdown mental hospital and can remain there for up to 3 years. 3) If, after 3 years (or sooner if max punishment on the charges is under 3 years), it does not appear that the defendant will be restored to competency, the case can be dismissed OR the state can try for a Conservatorship in which the defendant can be sent to a lockdown mental hospital, potentially for life. 1a) If defense tries for the "not guilty by reason of insanity defense" then even if the jury/judge returns with a "NGI" verdict, the defendant is sent to a lockdown mental hospital until sanity can be restored; or until the defendant reaches the maximum exposure. In practice, an NGI defense can provide false hope for a defendant as they often spend longer in a locked facility than they would had they simply taken a plea deal for prison.
  16. Reading only the title of the thread, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume OP is blaming the Jews.
