  1. One last one. I track calories in and calories out with My Fitness Pal and a Garmin smart watch. You can't do straight line math on calories in and calories out. As measured, it's easily 10% off. I totally understand why people there's some "magic" in calorie burn, and why all those quack fixes are out there.
  2. ETA In my experience, it is not more expensive either. Junk food, soda, Doritos, etc costs more than fresh vegetables. And bananas are stupid how cheap they are. It takes more time though. I used to "provision." Would buy 2-3 weeks of non perishables and supplement with milk from the gas station. Now I gotta go to Walmart for broccoli and bananas every week.
  3. I quit added sugar for the new year. Went cold turkey. Sugar in fruits and such are fine, but nothing with sugar added. Traded one addiction for the next, and I'm up to probably 2 quarts of black coffee a day. Still better though. It was easier than I thought and a few days in I took out calorie-dense food. Nothing against the potatoe, but if you don't do physical labor for a living, potatoes are no good. I had literal withdrawals. Two nights in a row I woke up nauseous, thinking I had a flu bug. Got up, drank some water and went back to bed. Fast forward 5 months, with no additional exercise, I was down >10% of my body weight and blood tests (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) are down in the healthy range. I fell younger, and am more flexible and needed to buy hundreds of dollars of new clothes. I've also been able to add some junk food back in. Just some. Get on the scale every day and adjust as needed. It. Is. Not. Easy. But it really is simple. There really are no excuses for being overweight.
  4. Episode 1 on YT:
  5. I should rephrase: "Lots more drone/missile strikes are hitting home, and Ukraine is REAL close to tipping the war. But Russia's size and willingness to destroy themselves still gives them the advantage."
  6. Still not enough. Need more.
  7. Imagine if you had done a cash out and invested the proceeds in the market.
  8. Undefeated
  9. Folks who don't like Betty, what kinda character would you replace her with?
  10. They're definitely getting the good stuff from us now.
  11. Betty's story arc at the end was fine. Not as good as many others, but still. Ms. Jones is a decent actress and played Betty as a generally bad person. Not sure why all the hate. Glen, otoh... I hope he died in Vietnam.
  12. Why are you so awkward, Bud? Iirc it took much of Season 1 to find its footing. (The Fartbook episode was especially bad.) Give it a go into Season 2. Maybe even skip Season 1.
  13. It's a good investment. If your stuff is killing there stuff at a high enough ratio, why not?
  14. My Hulu sub: ZMBzNw.mp4
