  1. We had a lady come in the shop about a year ago saying her LCP didn’t shoot straight. Owner took it to the range and put 7 rounds through the same hole. Lolz.
  2. 1911’s are funny to me. John Moses Browning is considered the godfather of automatic pistols. He makes the 1911 and hates it. Entire world loves the 1911. JMB makes the hi-power and loves it. Most of the world hates the hi-power. I like 1911’s for the nostalgia and awesomeness of the platform - but they have their quirks. I’ll always have one and you don’t need to spend a ton of money to get a good one. But the high dollar ones are incredible.
  3. Lots to unpack here but I’ll go in order Canik - I don’t like them but I have no beef with their build quality or reliability. It is a proven platform. I would buy the mete sft pro but you would prefer the mete sfx pro. Glock - go 47 here. 34 has the 19m slide lock that you like but you can get that aftermarket. 320’s- I hate the M series and I hate the egg grip. Go x grip all day. I worked with a guy in Ohio at an event last month that got shot in the leg running a course 8 months ago. I don’t trust them. M&P - great guns. Echelon - new. They’re ok. I’d pass for now. PDP - all day. Fucking great. Slide serrations chew my fingers up but they shoot straight and are hyper reliable. 509 - trigger sucks. FN can’t sell these guns right now. Hard pass. PPQ - Pass VP9 - I have 5. You do the math. Try a p30L. You’ve got a pretty good list there. No 1911? All the pistols I sell now are 2k and up - but I’ve sold ALOT of these guns.
  4. Made in both USA and Austria. No difference in production models.
  5. I don’t like revolvers for women shooting handguns for the first time Id buy her a tx-22 and tell her to put 1500 rounds through it with an instructor while you stay home Then let her go to a gun store and noodle 9mm pistols until she finds one she likes that costs at least $550. Ive helped this customer 100+ times. This almost always works. I still shoot 22 pistols as a training tool.
  6. If you want some recs from your resident gun guy let me know.
  7. They’re great weapons if that platform interests you. Very reliable.
  8. Listen to Immamac. The paid 3rd party stuff is a waste of money.
  9. Chris is in there often - I saw him on my last visit there. He’s a nice guy. Tommy has all kinds of people come through his doors - a lot of touring guys killing time. He keeps talking about getting Fibes rolling again and I hope he does.
  10. China won’t use troop transports. They’re not stupid. If China decides to take Taiwan they’ll do it with a military already in country - soldiers, assassins, bombers, hackers, etc. If they need to infil people they can use cruise ships and then paratroopers after anti-air has been taken out. They’ll get creative. Shit they’ve probably already got a tunnel dug.
  11. Yep. Easy. If you ever have any issues just go get a new SIM card. It’s mobile too - so that’s nice. Ranch, tailgating, etc.
  12. It’s great. Ive been using it for 3 years. Streams just fine - zero issues.
  13. Right - it’s not long term but 1) puts you in the position of doing something while making a little money and 2) puts you in the position to talk to people and increase the number of convo’s you have. I mean, I talked to probably 8+ people that were in the security business (mainly products but whatever) and we had some really good conversations that ended up with us connecting on LinkedIn. Oh - I actually did have an interview, forgot about that one.
  14. I identify as a constitutional law scholar and first amendment expert. I am happy to take questions.
  15. I actually met some people along the way in tech that I had really good convos with that might have led to a job, but at that point I wanted to go in a different direction so I didn’t pursue. Go sell guitars. Go lug plants around at a nursery. Put yourself in a position to talk to people and it will become a force multiplier. I promise.
  16. Hang in there man. If I had to give any advice, I’d tell you to go work somewhere that you would love - music store, boat dealership, whatever. Go be around shit you love to talk about. I did this during covid and it lead to a complete career shift - out of tech and into the gun business. Started at Academy because I was in there every day and the manager just asked “why don’t you just work here and get 20% off?” I wasn’t doing anything so I just did it for fun. That led to 3-4 jobs at a time over 3 years, usually 7 days a week - but it led me to where I am now which is the tits.
  17. You’re a good person for helping him out. The city should have plenty of resources to assist.
  18. Let’s get a Looch version- This weekend is setting up to be a huge weekend on the forty acres for Steve Sarkisian and crew with the announcement that Solomon Williams will be visiting the #4 ranked team in college football. Coming off a weekend that saw your Texas Longhorns control the tide in Tuscaloosa, it looks like Steve Sarkisian has set his sights on the 6-foot-3 250# edge from deep in SEC country. Solomon has an offer list that has your Texas Longhorns battling the elites of college football in Alabama, Clemson, and Oregon. Texas A&M is also in the mix. Although Solomon is ranked as the #21 edge in the country, his offer list tells another story. WATCH THE TAPE. Again, Steve Sarkisian dips deep into SEC country to find a perfect compliment to the most talented roster in the country - and continues to strike fear into the SEC West. Solomon will spend the weekend seeing all the forty acres have to offer, bonding with other “watch the tapers” and enjoying the fine dining at Applebees and Texas Roadhouse. Billy
