Oh man, so sad. He cradled that popup like it was his first born. RIP.
  2. Well, if we see 6 inches of rain I'm guessing we won't even be consulting our outfitter about whether we want to deal with 4 and 5s on the Naranjo vs. 2 and 3s.
  3. Booked a family trip to Tulemar late Fall. Looking at doing some white water rafting on one of the days if anyone has recommendations.
  4. Did the same one in July 2019. Actually saw an orca pod make a kill toward the end of the trip. Couple of calves moved in to clean up and get some nutrition. Was some of the coolest shit I've ever witnessed.
  5. When in doubt, blame it on Plonsky.
  6. Better than this shit. Sunday night near some place called Vigo Park, Tx. 7.25". Record. Old: 6.4".
  7. Dead and Company last night at the Sphere. 5:00 on. Good stuff, very. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM73HYB38h0
  8. Binoculars to see the coaches go after the bats - there's a little distance between the benches you sit on and the area around the cave where the action takes place. No binoculars needed for the coaches that wander out from the rock formations right below the benches you're sitting on.
  9. I love going to Bracken Cave and seeing them pounce on unsuspecting bats that are grounded.
  10. Not surprising that Bijan gets it and knows where to spend his money to help. But the idiots that run the city still don't.
  11. Shitty 36 hours....This one will be a tough one to get over. Walton was a different breed. If you got attached to him and went for the ride, then it's easy to understand why this loss was a bit different. Having read a ton of columns, tributes and the like over the last day plus, this one from Breen is as good as it gets and encapsulates the man.
  12. Devastating. A National Treasure, like no other. RIP Bill.
  13. Holy shit, indeed.

Was reminded yesterday of the goodness that is Giovanni's on Lamar and Barton Skyway. It's tucked away inside the Food Mart there. Hadn't been there in some time but still so good. Run by the chef at the old Mezzaluna downtown.
  15. RIP to your grandmother. What a final resting place, just so beautiful. If you're in the DC area Arlington is a must-do priority. More details about her?
  16. New DOL rule kicking in 7-1-24 revamping non-exempt classification. Recommendation for time-tracking software? Just a small number of employees who are converting to NE, about 10.
  17. John turned his stutter into a multi-thousand dollar career. Plenty of gold here, starting with Ted Williams.
  18. Most all the bikes in south Austin aren't being ridden. They're under the 290 bridge near South Lamar being dressed down by the bums. Used to be at least. Guessing they're back now if they left.
  19. Yeah, that was my exact thought 20 seconds into it.

    RIP
  22. She sold that movie from the get-go. That shit had your squirming in your seats 4 minutes into things.
