  1. If they knew more about Javier and Garcia and France (and even add McCullers to that list) then trading Valdez would make more sense. As it is, with Framber and Brown we have a chance in any series.
  2. 1. Attack and tax the rick. Vilify the rich. Instead of minorities and immigrants, make them the reason for all of the bad things that happen to working class people. 2. Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine to exert control over media messaging so it can't be batshit. 3. Address the biggest threat to national security there is - the fucking deficit. Insist on paying it down by any means necessary, including reducing military spending. Make people fear the deficit. 4. Campaign finance reform. Campaign finance reform. Campaign finance reform. As long as money rules politics then the real needs of the country and its people will not be met. 5. Lincoln Project style videos showing every promise Trump did not keep.
  3. Yeah, we need Trump to publicly fester. Vance, lickspittle that he is, would probably be more effective at doing actual evil shit than Trump.
  4. Why in the fuck would you do that inside of a car? If the whole point is to puke and laugh about it, why would you knowingly get vomit all over the inside of your car?
  5. I did this a couple of months ago. I'm better for it. What has happened is that a sizeable and politically significant number of voters have evolved into racist, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic, xenophobic, hate- and fear-mongering ignorant assholes. The reasons are varied, but can all be traced to various societal factors. The declining population (as a total percentage) of whites in the U.S., media being driven (by market necessity) by profits instead of journalistic integrity, the internet and waves of false and misleading information that anyone can send out to millions of gullible and uninformed people, the failure of our education system, the fact that the U.S. is rich, bloated, overly stimulated and infected with such false myths as "anyone call pull themselves up by their bootstraps" and "welfare queens" and "illegals are sucking up all of the resources paid for by our hard-earned tax dollars." When you add to that politicians who have absolutely zero integrity, no intentions of ever doing anything "good" for the country or the people at large and are only self-interested (which is, itself, caused by fucked up campaign finance laws) and, as a result, they are willing to tell people anything, no matter how untrue, farfetched or dangerous. You know, things like, "Illegals are taking all of the jobs!" "Democrats are socialists!" "Sandy Hook families are crisis actors!" "Trans women are taking over women's sports and gaining access to women's bathrooms to spy on little girls' pee-pees!" and various other outrageous and stupid shit like that. Whites feel (or believe) they are losing their grip on power and want to hear it's not happening or that there is someone to blame and there are things to do about it. So they vote for the assholes riling them up because it makes them feel good. So, in a word - dopamine. Dopamine is to blame for all of this.
  6. Fun fact: He sat in on a mediation I had recently.
  7. If this keeps up, we'll be buyers at the deadline. Who do we get? A SP with some control to replace Valdez would be my guess/wish. Edit: MacKenzie Gore from the Nats?
  8. And all of this without our best hitter in the lineup.
  9. This. They have charged him with human trafficking. They allege that he brought MS 13 gang members into the U.S. The investigation into the trafficking charges started after he was sent to El Salvador.
  10. I've been busy with other shit, so I'm late in posting, but Abrego Garcia back on U.S. soil, for those who missed it.
  11. This actually made me physically ill. There just is no bottom.
  12. The kind who would suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
  13. I've always loved this graphic. Especially the part with DJ Monroe standing on the sideline. Anyway, I applaud BB. Good for him. Fuck the haters.
  14. I don't know which one I hate more between Leavitt and Bondi.
  15. My son started select ball last summer. The coach was recommended by another family at our school. The coach is great - knowledgeable, motivating, not over the top with criticism. The other parents on the team are pretty chill - no loudmouths. As far as the team goes, it's been good. Going to tournaments was eye-opening though. There are A LOT of people who take this shit VERY seriously. I just wonder what they are all thinking. Do they think their kid has a chance to play MLB? My son's goal is to make his HS team. He's going to be a freshman next year. I think he has a pretty good chance of making the freshman team. Whether we continue with select ball remains to be seen. He's definitely improved because of it and has had a generally positive experience. I just don't know how much is too much in terms of commitment by our family.
  16. Good. Fuck that chode.
  17. Well, you have religion, and then you have everything else about life. If you want an example, instead of going inside of a church, go look at the stars. Basically any other reason than, because my religion told me to. Again, if you want an example - one definition of "good" is anything that promotes humanity and "evil" is anything that harms or hinders humanity. So being a good person is to promote humanity.
  18. Similar. Grew up Catholic - Catholic school PK4-12. In 3rd grade the nun who taught us told us that Adam and Eve didn't really exist, but were rather an allegory. I was like, WTF? Then my mom told me Santa Claus wasn't real. I started questioning everything and didn't stop until after college. I became an anthropology major for the same reasons you undertook study - to find out what the fuck was going on and why. I reached conclusions that were satisfactory enough for me and stopped questioning so much and stressing about the answers, or lack thereof. Specifically with respect to religion - there is absolutely nothing religion can give you that you cannot get in other aspects of life. Morality, righteousness, charity, community, divinity, everything that religion has to offer, you can get somewhere else. In fact, I'd submit that receiving all of those things outside of religion actually is far better. Do you want to be a good person only so you don't go to an imaginary hell? What, are we children who can only do right to avoid punishment? Not me. I'd rather be a good person for reasons that I've come to through reason and logic. Given all of the flaws with religion and that it has nothing to offer I can't get better somewhere else, I've got no use for it.
