What the fuck would it have changed? They still had no timeouts and had to throw the ball. Reed would have thrown an int from the 2.5 yard line instead of the 5?
It's too funny how little faith I had in aggy to score from the 5 there. My thought the whole time was "yeah cute shit but you still gotta score 7." Knowing that clown was taking the snap and just as likely to do something stupid.
Like it's college football. Usually if a team marches down the field methodically with a minute left they wind up punching it in. They have all the momentum they need. Reed has the opposite effect on the game.

He’s always been shitty working his jab and has relied on power punching. Look how uncomfortable he looked in Ruiz 2 when he tried to jab the whole fight.
Lack of jab has always been the book on himAhhh. If he has no jab then where the fuck is the aggression to throw power punches. Hit him anywhere.

He bears accountability. He wasn't good tonight. Just accept it. The -15 in plus/minus says it all. Now, it's not all on him and nobody was saying it was. Vassell disappeared in the 2nd half. Barnes can't hit the side of a barn right now, Fox is a very volatile player who does a lot of good and a lot of bad. It's a young team and this was a great experience for them. All a part of it, they need games together and and they need to learn from some failures. I still don't believe this is the finished product either. Guys will get better but we're one bigger move away from having the core set IMO. Probably doesn't happen until next year or even 27'.
Possibly. I don't see how 25 minutes for the best player on the floor is something we can ignore. When OG played 38 and Brunson played 40. As soon as he stepped on the court it was clear he was out of sync, but I don't blame that on him. He got inserted into a dogfight while the dogs had already been biting and he's 80% at best. 2027 was the goal back in October. This team is better than what we thought we had back in October.

Knicks are shooting their hearts out..... .We had chances to put this away in the 3rd and just couldn't get there. A guy like OG would go really well with this team.
Another early clock 3 by Wemby. If he wants to dole out some shit talking in PC's, then he needs to be accountable when he plays shitty. He went on a heater there for about 4 minutes, but otherwise, this wasn't a good performance.
I'm not putting this on Wemby. He went on a heater to give us that lead and those offensive rebounds are a function of him being on a minutes restriction. Fox disappeared in the 2nd half. Barnes missed multiple wide open 3s.

Welp the league is officially on notice for what we've seen for weeks now. This team is for real. Well-built. Fearless. They don't quit. Wemby just takes everything to another dimension. If he plays 30+ minutes against OKC I don't see how you can see them ever blowing us out. He's been on a personal "destroy Chet" mission since he came into the league.

No, the other way around. He wouldn't leave her alone. She was trying to break it off.
I know it's reason #25 why this, and he, is stupid. But he's married with children, how did he think this would end? (I know, he didn't) how fucking stupid? (I know, yes). Was he going to live happily ever after with a side piece 20 years younger than him, never getting caught and her never getting tired of messing with a married man? Just plain fucking regarded.

I'm not sure it's a development thing. Something doesn't seem right with him mentally or physically or both. Whether or not he can shoot or handle the ball he used to play with more intensity and grit and presence. This season it feels like he's chasing butterflies or in La La Land a lot of the time.
He may need a change in scenery. If not I wouldn't mind giving him like $10M/yr for a few years and then just hoping he turns it around and it's a phase. @Mitch Cumsteen is right that it's a long season.
I'm tellin' y'all..... it's her fault.

Something I just realized, Sochan didn't play at all last night. I've been rooting for his success, but he's just been bad this year, and it looks like Mitch might have given up on him. Kind of sucks because I think he could really help our perimeter defense, but his offense game is not there this year.
Yep, he went from our designated Luka stopper to out of the gameplan completely. It was clear in the 3rd quarter he was getting DNP'd, I wasn't too surprised, but still feels weird since he was such a big part of the team/culture the last 2 years. I think a healthy scratch just about makes it clear that we're done waiting on his development.

Just an incredibly well drawn up play for the worst three point shooter on the floor for the pels. Why?
Because James Borrego wanted to pay tribute to Pop with the Manu/Timmy play from the Suns playoff series? They'll never see it coming!
DQ ain't there yet, but damn he's got a starter kit.

The run blocking was never really good, it was their pass blocking that was elite but with a poor pocket presence QB, and they also had the occasional screw up (GA regular season).
Sark needs to know that his "execution, execution" mantra is just wishful thinking, he fucked up bad.
I remember the discussions last year about our poor run blocking. Sark wanting to be a good inside zone team but we could only (passably) block outside zone, and only at times.
We finished 12th in the SEC in rushing yards/game this year. Last year's O line had us 10th. They were by no means a "good" O line, but like this year's unit, they were able to string together some solid games throughout the season, and some stinkers otherwise. My optimism for next year is that we have the tackles figured out and they are still young and getting stronger. If we can get 1-2 starting IOL between Center and Guard, and let someone else develop into a starter, hopefully we get our first "good" o line in a while.

One of Wisner's moves that he excels at is hitting thin creases, and dodging solid hits, which makes him difficult to bring down when he's a solid target and there's no where to hide. When people talk about wiggle or being shifty, Tre has it. He's not fast, but can operate in a phone booth. I don't know that he's particularly explosive, but he is able to one cut and turn upfield. This is something Baxter lost, he doesn't have that extra gear or spring right before contact, or ability to cut and go. It's not just being able to run, it's fast twitch that just seems to be missing.
Tre is an excellent change of pace back, that gains as the game goes on and players wear down. This at times was also an indictment, because Sark would go away from plays there were working. Also, running takes time for backs to build a rhythm and settle into the game, which is difficult to do sporadically.
The play in the 2nd series where Arch checks down to Baxter and he turns upfield..... fuck he looks slow. I know the knock on Wisner is that he's not "explosive" or whatever, but I know if he caught that he's getting to (his) top gear quickly and getting down the sideline quick to reach the first-down marker. Baxter took so long to get going it looks like he's naturally stuck in 2nd gear.

San Antonio Spurs 2025-26 - Release the Kraken
in Basketball
Fair, but im not buying it. I noticed last year that Wemby specifically, and the Spurs by affiliation, have had the target on their back. Teams have wanted to out-shine the Wemby Show for a while. But now we have the Dogs to impose our style on them. They better be ready for relentless pace and discipline.
