  1. It neither supports nor refutes the claim. A tensile strength result relates force to cross-sectional area and does not include weight in its calculation in any way.
  2. We need to just go ahead and repeal the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, it's embarrassingly hypocritical at this point. From Wikipedia: The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (FCPA) (15 U.S.C. § 78dd-1, et seq.) is a United States federal law that prohibits U.S. citizens and entities from bribing foreign government officials to benefit their business interests. Explain how this isn't exactly what our government is doing directly.
  3. I sold my 2021 model Y earlier this year and replaced it with a Cadillac Optiq, it cost me about $27,000. Granted, most of that is because I was getting rid of a 4 year old car and replacing it with a brand new car that is a little more up-market, so someone replacing a used tesla with a similarly aged used electric car won't have nearly as big a financial hit. The trade in offers I got while shopping were $18k-$22k. Checking my area right now, a 2021 Mustang Mach E (rear wheel drive, standard range battery so a downgrade from the model y not quite an equivalent) is listed for $28k. So that's the financial hardship, $6k-$10k (depending on trade in offer)+ tax and a vehicle downgrade in both range and acceleration. I'm not comfortable jumping down the throats of people that aren't in position to do that, I think it's shitty and shows a lack of empathy.
  4. You sure are free with other people's money while you're virtue signaling. Not everyone is in a financial position to replace their car.
  5. The older I get the more I believe that free market capitalism should ONLY ever be applied to situations with low barriers to market entry (lots of competition) and highly elastic demand (price gouging kills the market itself).
  6. I've been playing MW5:Clans and enjoying it. I may be up for a coop campaign after I've finished working through the campaign in single player at my own pace.
  7. What conflicts has the US been involved in recently where the military/militants we were fighting were NOT supplied by Russia?
  8. Dude tried to throw a flying elbow, fuck him. You like to have guys on your team that play physical and irritate the other team, there's no place for guys that attempt to injure others.
  9. The Jets had the fewest goals allowed of any team in the NHL during the regular season. It's pretty surprising seeing them get shelled like this, but I love to see it.
  10. New member, first post ever on the forum is in this thread posting stories of Russian success.
  11. The word used to describe feeling these sorts of negative emotions as a result of what some said is "offended." These things offend you, that's why you feel angry and self-righteously superior.
  12. Well the drone wasn't wrong in its threat assessment.
  13. Aren't most countries that are hostile to the US already fully equipped by Russia?
  14. I would like to see a method of overriding a veto introduced. Right now Russia is abusing the veto power, using it to lock up the UN while they engage in a war of conquest. The veto power was intended to allow the permanent security council members to protect their national interests, not to disallow UN action while they attack other nations and engage in war crimes. Some sort of 2/3 vote to override a single veto or similar system, such as what the US uses to override a presidential veto, would be good I think.
  15. Everything is working now with the new motherboard, so evidently it was the motherboard. What a pain in the ass though. Thanks @immamac for helping with the troubleshooting.
