  1. I officiated a game last night in SA (NISD). Home team was their Homecoming game. The “visitor” started off - “bang bang” and it was 14-0 prior to midway of Q1. Home team had some good drives, plus some short field opportunities and before you know it, they were tied. Just prior to the half, the “undermanned” home team got a pick six and had the lead! Crowd was really into the game by them! Cooler heads prevailed and the visitor (favored team) ended up scoring a good bit of unanswered points in the 2nd half and ended up winning by 20. Earlier in the week, the weather people said it would be a cool week temperature-wise. Man we’re they wrong! I sweated my big butt off from Thursday to this morning’s slate of two freshman games! Please Jobu - bring on the cooler weather!!! Hook’em!
  2. Tough road game, but I think it helps that it’s not at night. This is the game where we show our progression over last year. You have to WIN on the road! Hook’em!
  3. IMO only - the SWAC knew it’s place in regards to the FCS playoffs. As a McNeese supporter (grad) from the late ‘90s, we’d always try to schedule a non-conference game with SWAC members, because for one- the “gate” and/or attendance would be nice. Even during our “mediocre” years, we’d play PV, TSU, Southern, Grambling, Alcorn, etc. and the margin of victory was usually +20 home or away. The SWAC always scheduled their Championship game the weekend that started the FCS playoffs, so that by itself made them ineligible for an FCS run through the playoffs. They were content having their Big Game in the NO Superdome and on National TV and that was all that mattered. Hook’em!
  4. Just got back from Del Rio (2:00 AM). Long trip for a SA crew, but it was a great trip and game. Homecoming for the hosts, on their Homecoming game, against a team out of Laredo. Hard and tough fought game by both teams. Both teams were great and well disciplined, as we had less that 15 total foul calls/plays. Home team had their chances to pull out a victory at the end, but the visitors prevailed, with a final score of 20-19. Both teams’ kids were well disciplined and was a great game to officiate. Everyone of those I interacted with was always “yes sir or no sir”! Off to bed for the Horns 11AM kick, as I can never seem to go straight to bed after getting home! Hook’em!
  5. I love how aggy thinks that Jimbo is playing chess and is about to unleash CW at QB. If he was that great - why wait? The comparisons to what they refer to as “Mullet” is asinine by using HS or “Camps” views. Totally aggy and their delusional fan base of aggy! They are reaching/hoping for a savior at QB. Hook’em!
  6. No - your comments are definitely true. His (Milroe’s fumbles) came from within the “pocket” which he isn’t a pure pocket-passer at this time. All I’m saying is BOB didn’t give him a chance to show his strengths. If he’d let him operate on the perimeter, that game should’ve had a drastically different outcome - IMO. Hook’em!
  7. IMO - Milroe isn’t a dumpster fire. He’s a kid out of Katy Tompkins that “we” wanted. I totally blame BOB on the aggy game. When you only have one week to prepare, don’t make the youngster play within Bryce Young’s offense, because “those are the plays we run and it’s our offense”! You let the youngster do what he knows best with the Spread and then roll him out for pass/run options - He’s NOT a pocket passer (at this time), so my blame is on BOB! If he’d put the QB in space, they’d have beat aggy by 20+. Hook’em!
  8. That’s the truth! I was married for multiple years before my wife “knew” that each month didn’t have 31 days. I tried to explain Leap Year and February to her and she couldn’t believe it still didn’t have 30 days? I think it had something to do with her watch always going to 31 on the date, to which I always nicely asked if her watch knew which month we were in? We’ve been married for 30, as of this year! Hook’em!
  9. aggy has always been - just wait until next year! Year 8 of Jimbo will be, he’s building a “juggernaut” just wait until next year! Hook’em!
  10. That was the problem with Milroe and BOB! BOB’s plan was to run the same offense, as if his starter was back there, because Hey that’s our offense! Dumb ass kept Milroe in the pocket to make throws, when he should’ve rolled the kid out in space and then have the throw/run option! Their whole offensive ineptitude was purely on BOB not adjusting their scheme to their QB’s talents. He might be a better passer, out of the pocket, in a year or so, but when you only have one week to prepare, you go with the kid’s strengths. Hook’em!
  11. Dude - everyone saw the Bama turnovers that gave aggy short field scores, let alone the two missed FGs that weren’t missed in our game vs Bama. Total different games in their entirety! Hook’em!
  12. In the 2nd half. Another part of the string where we led at HT. Hook’em!
  13. When aggy hired Jimbo, I knew that they were getting the same as we had with “Mack during his his last two years on the 40”! Accomplished, but riding it until the boosters said no more! Here we are, but aggy being aggy gave Jimbo the contract of all contracts! Good luck getting rid of Jimbo - aggy, whether it’s 2027 or 2028! Pay the man you idiots (aggy)!!!!! Hook’em!
  14. I really “appreciate” the thought that the aggy base is stating that they are a “young team” during Jimbo’s 5th season. Shouldn’t they just be reloading by now? Hmm - smells like they got the “last two years of Mack” in their “We hired a MNC Coach” look-out phase. This pic is all I can think of in their situation! Hook’em!
  15. NRR, Varsity games are based on gate receipts, on a sliding scale of attendance totals. $90 is the minimum for those, plus $20 travel as a minimum under 30 miles. Most 5-6A pay, inside the greater San Antonio area average around $130 to $150, including the 20 for travel as we (my crew) arrive on our own prior to the game. Mileage goes up with every “30 mile band” by $15, to a max of $50, under 90 miles. +90 and they want the crew to arrive by car sharing and we usually get my 7-man crew in two vehicles. Mileage is based on chapter center location, so ours is in downtown San Antonio. For sub-varsity games, it’s based on length of clock quarters: 7th/8th are 8:00 or less, so $50 each game. Frosh/JV games are usually 10:00 or 9:00 Qtrs, so those pay $55 each. Then you add the mileage, with a minimum of $20. Most of the larger schools will have two teams (A and B), until grades come out and some will start dropping B games. Hook’em!
  16. Dude - Bro Man, aggy got in Jimbo, just like we got in Mack’s last 3-4 years. Good luck with that! But hey, aggy has a coach that won a MNC! Hook’em!
  17. Good win by the Horns. Next week will be the tale tell tape on the 2022 Season, iMO. Hook’em!
  18. You knew it was coming - I fault the “monkey Coach” on that - not being ready. Hook’em!
  19. Refs ain’t got shit! UT needs to put their MFG foot in WVU’s neck and get this game over with! Hook’em!
  20. That was a BS call by the B12 refs. On roughing the passer! It’s a shame! Hook’em!
  21. When my son showed this to Tom Luganbill (sp?) at the Alamo Bowl that year, with Leech on the sidelines, he just shook his head and said that he’s no going there! I made the sign! Hook’em!
  22. No - you’re not alone. The Pirate is a master at the post-game media! Hook’em!
  23. Yes sir - no punts or FGs going forward! Hook’em!
  24. Put the Mountaineers away Horns, so we can sit back and “hydrate” with the beverage of your choosing. Hook’em!
  25. IMO - a make or break game for our Horns! They’ve got to win this one for Sark’s (and our) sanity. Win this and we can roll- off 6-7 more wins. Lose this one, show me two more wins, to bring us to 4-8 for 2022! Hook’em!
