  1. I think that is likely what happens. Mannings arnt jump happy kinda people. Maybe if they see more than 2-3 years sitting but not 2. 2023-Ewers starts, declares after the season. 2024-real battle for starter, Murphy and Manning fight it out until game day, unless Manning is head and shoulders better. Depending on season, Murphy declares for draft or transfers. 2025-Manning starts for sure. 100% Nelson is next in line. has this year to learn and get some snaps behind Caleb.
  2. if they do , they will be consistent.......consistent in drafting top 5 for 5+ years in a row
  3. I agree with this way of doing a draft. When you suck like the texans, they need 17+ starting positions, draft an all pro at any of those positions.
  4. There will be at least 2 QBs in top5 and likely 3 i top 10 but thats isnt always the right decision. If you arnt sure on a QB, i dont think its worth drafting him just bc its the most important position. Draft someone better, who you think will be a really good nfl player, will help you team and get your QB another place another time another way.
  5. Will have to disagree on good production in college and high effort will lead to NFL success.
  6. What if you dont like any. Cant waste a #2 overall pick on someone you have graded in 2nd round. Trade or find a QB somewhere else. Trade for a 1 year rental. Make the team better for 2024 when you do draft someone high.
  7. Agree on all your points. he isnt bad, just expect more from top 5 pick. I would trade back if Houston. Much value in Bijan at 12, JSN, 2-3 OT, CBs. Rack up a 1st next year and more 2nd rounders. Many good ILBs, safeties, DTs, of WR falls with value in 2-3 rounds.
  8. Cant be as inaccurate as Richardson was a be a top 20 pick, great athlete but you have to make consistently good throws 0-25 yards. Levis isnt a top 4 round pick, imo. i dont understand the Will Anderson love. If you watch him vs Texas, Lsu, Tenn he didnt effect the QB. High motor , good athlete, hustles but top 10, not for me. Tyree Wilson, can you trust the lis franc injury? Bryce is ok, i dont love him though. I love Caleb, Drake and Penix better. JSN is damn good. Whats yall guess on where the horns get drafted? 1. Bijan 4. RoJo 5. Coburn 5. Ojomo 6. Overshown UFA. Cook, Jamison(aka fake Bijan)
  9. Why do someof you feel Anderson is a cant miss prospect? Watch him vs good OTs, he is neutralized. He hustles well and is athletic but >1/2 scks came vs lower league teams. OLs needed to account for other players also. Watch his film vs Texas, Lsu, Tenn. He could not beat their tackles 1on1. Not saying he is a bust but top 5 is a huge stretch imo.
  10. 100% agree, we should be trying to go all in on Bear. He would get snaps from day 1. As long as off the field is good, go find a way to get him bc he is a starter in 24.
  11. 4 in 2024 class. We need 2 that can give us snaps and 1 starter.
  12. Manny at 177 2 months into early college is not disappointing at all, he is a field CB, he can be 185 and play physical. same with Vasek, give him an off-season, and he will grow well like his fellow Westlake EDGE. BJ at 207 is great, considering 3 months ago he was close to 220. Gavin Holmes is slightly built field CB. Hopefully he wont have to tackle too many 220 pound running backs. his strength is quickness not size. Swanson and Ross are concerns, if those numbers dont change, i dont think they are around in 12 months. They are both interiors, defensive lineman they can’t play other positions.
  13. If Auburn is stuck with Bama/UGA, i gave them Vandy bc anything else is not really fair. Florida has a gripe, rightfully. But giving them LSU isnt any different and Ou has to get a stronger 3rd opponent other than Tx/Mizzou. No long term, true rivalry is left out. Closest is UGA/Tenn , Tenn/Vandy(but thats Tenn cant come out that easy) and a relatively new one in Lsu/UF. You can say Arky/LSU and Arky/Aggie but thats a stretch.
  14. Not bad but you must hate Auburn and Florida bc they dont like you, haha. Tennessee just cant get Vandy, its just too easy a guaranteed win.
  15. Texas is the easiest 3: Ou, Aggie, Arky. Its a lot of teams in the East that will be harder to equally divide. Ou has to get someone hard from the East bc its 2 guaranteed will be Texas and Mizzou, cant give them Arkansas as a 3rd. Florida make the most sense.
  16. a lot of people give a shit. if you give them a random Miss St or UK, thats an easy win. They need to get Florida to make it even. The 3+6 is fun and keep most rivalries but some teams are going to get a much harder draw than others. Someone will get screwed
  17. yes you are right, both for Texas and Ou it should be Bama/Auburn
  18. No in the 1+7 format, Texas only plays Ou every year. the 14 other Sec teams are split 7 in even years/the other 7 teams in odd years. column 7 for both Texas and Ou should have read Auburn/Bama
  19. how can we keep those rivalries already in the SEC and incorporate Texas/Ou and the new age of 16 team superconferences. How can you keep the competitive balance with schedules for so many teams? I believe its the 1+7 system. 1 main rival for every team and you play every team in the conference every 2 years, every 4 years home/away. the 2nd best option for competitive balance is the East/West option, clear, simple, easy. Only rivalries lost would be Lsu/Florida, Lsu/Bama, Lsu/Auburn. not a single other one. the 3rd option for competitive balance is the 3+6 model. Most of the time Bama, UGA, Texas, Ou, Lsu, Florida will be competitive/top 25 caliber historically, over teams like Kentucky, Mizzou, South Carolina, etc. 3 permanent rivals is a lot. 9 game SEC schedule also. Realignment isnt over so whatever model we choose might change in 10 years.
  20. disrespectfully, its the best option if you consider fairness, not $. I understand 3+6 is the odds on favorite but if you consider a competitive balance then 1+7 is the best. Networks $ ,probably will feel different
  21. This is how it should be: 1+7. the 3+6 way is not the best option. 1) 1+7 is the most fair way. 3 permanent opponents is a big imbalance for some teams. Ex: Tennessee will get Vandy, South Carolina, Bama. While someone like Auburn will get Bama, UGA and South Carolina. Ou gets Texas, Florida, Mizzou while Arkansas gets Texas, Kentucky and Mizzou. The path for 1 teams is clearly different than the other. 2)1+7 keeps the SEC at 8 game schedule which they have used for 25+ years to have an advantage over other conferences. 3)SEC can not eliminate the FCS teams. Can still play lower level FBS but bc of the 8 game conf schedule they can ALL schedule 1-2 bigger non conference games. 4)Main rivalries are kept and you play every team every other year. Example: Texas plays Ou every year. Texas plays Aggie @ College Station in 2024, in Austin 2026, in CS 2028, in Austin 2030. Texas plays Arky in Austin 2025, Fayetteville 2027, Austin 2029, Fayetville 2031.
