  1. Just finished Rise and Fall this past month. I was disappointed over how many principal players served very little. Of course, one has to accept that the burden of proof is normally on the prosecution. May catch it when it streams.
  2. As done by Leon Russell and retitled Old Masters. I think on his eponymous album.
  3. If commenting on Alfred Collins, Cedar Creek (Bastrop ISD), not Cedar Park.
  4. Wife and I got Covid and flu shots today at CVS.
  5. Arbeit macht frei!
  6. Wife and I got our second Shingrix shot on Thursday. Both had slight discomfort in arm for a day, but no other bad effects. Pharmacist at CVS offered flu and Covid-19 at same time, but we deferred. We had heard about bad effects on second Shingrix, so didn't want to add to it. We will go back in a few weeks and get flu and Covid shots. Sister-in-law and her husband just got back from out of state and had contracted Covid from relatives. Seems to be a lot of Covid going around. Forgot to add - we're in the 75+ group.
  7. I was always partial to Otis. Probably my favorite.

  11. Has anyone doxxed the tall guy and the dude with the bushy moustache?
  12. I grill chicken thighs or breasts about twice a month and use that. We love it.
  13. LDS are pretty common at IRS. Part of it is their commitment to service, which may also explain the military participation. Many I met were exceptionally civil and agreeable, but I found many of the men very sexist and sometimes quite promiscuous (maybe not so bad for Surly.) Probably no more than evangelical youth pastors.
  14. I didn't start it, but with subscriptions to both Britbox and Acorn, I have read and added to it.
  15. Not sure if he was on anyone's list, but Ronnie Dugger, liberal writer and journalist, and one time editor of the Daily Texan. Ronnie Dugger, 1930-2025 A great voice lost.
  16. In the late '50s, early '60s they had a live kangaroo mascot kept on campus. Katie the Kangaroo. My grandmother lived down the street and we would walk down and see her. Aunt had a maroon and gold plushie kangaroo from when she attended.
  17. Roseanne Cash posted this article to her facebook page. Mark your 2027 calendars. A Secret Trove of Rare Guitars Heads to the Met | The New Yorker
  18. So that's the Nazi affiliation?
  19. Or Twine Time with Paul Ray. Sorry, Bolverk beat me to it.
  20. And the only accountability action following this is discipline of whomever leaked it.
  21. Then they should be restricted from visiting the Texas House.
