  1. Honest question as I don't watch as much as most of y'all. Is Endo supposed to be good? The only time I ever notice him is when he F's up. I.e. the goal just conceded.

Alejandro Moreno looks WAY better for Club America than he does for the US. Also, Cade Cowell was playing for Chivas. I was under the impression that Chivas consisted of only Mexican nationals. I guess I was wrong.
  3. Easy one for me. 1987. Christmas on the Farm. The family matriarch, Mama Phillips, would host an overnight Christmas party every year on the family farm outside of Comanche. Family, tons of food, hayrides, midnight pranks. As a kid, I didn't appreciate all those that are now gone. Hell, the last one I attended was my senior year in HS. All I could think about was my upcoming move to the 40. To just be able to be there again and appreciate all the history and stories.... man. Mama Phillips came to Comanche from East TN in a covered wagon. Papa Phillips grew up on an Indian reservation in Oklahoma. Almost died from a rattlesnake bite as a kid. My grandfather was one of 7 children that grew up on the farm. The other 6 were his sisters. He fought in the PTO during WWII. I'd just sit and listen all night.
  4. Um, yeah. Not to be a perve, but some of Cordero's instagram pics are --- rude.
  5. Ok. A bit confused. One of the Indian/Mexican girls appears to have gone to UT - Karishma Cordero. Are you saying the girl doing the 400-point turn on the show swam at Texas?
  6. Sorry. Drunk post. I had a lot of connections to the Vol football team when I lived in Knoxville. I heard some things. You know that argument Texas fans used to have where half the fanbase wanted us to cheat/win at all costs and the other wanted to maintain Texas' morality? At one point, I believe TT was being considered for a job at Texas. This would have definitely destroyed Texas' morality argument.
  7. All good. And you know I'm just giving you and my Vol grad wife a bit of trash talk.
  8. Way to go Beard and KY. You fucksticks got aggy into the tourney.
  9. See my post on the football board. Trooper Taylor was a dirty POS 20 years ago. When living in Knoxville, I heard stories.

Crazy considering Johansson played like 5 games for us. I meant "crazy" in a good way. And, yes, I know AJ played more than 5 games.
  11. Loss to a lower seed. What do I win?
  12. Paint me shocked. Trooper was a dirty, cheating mofo when at Tennessee. I heard some stuff about him back then.
  13. Beware the Ides of March Barnes.
  14. Lulz at stopping at 2000 when bringing up aggy futility.
  15. I liked it. It's kind of a cross between the cheesiness/suspect acting of Scarface and the well acted/well written Narcos. Just about to finish up The Signal. It's a German series w/ 4 episodes. Other than all the plot holes, it's not bad.

Chris Richards was partially responsible for giving up a 96th minute goal to Luton Town just now. It was a last-second ball into the box. His mark scored, though, it could have been a zone mark. I'd be effing furious if I was a CP fan. The mids and forwards were hotdogging it during added time. There was no concern for ball control and/or running the clock. They were too busy doing backheels, trick passes, and trying to score. They ended up turning the ball over, which led to the goal.
  18. Finally caught up. A lot of unlikeable players in this version. The loser tribe had/has a guy that couldn't even remotely back up his mouth, the most useless player of all time, and an Indian dude that may be batshit crazy. Good luck with that.

My wife and my work wives (the teachers at school) have been bitching at me to quit for years. I play on Sundays, then limp until about Thursday. Just as I'm feeling good again, next game up. Problem is I don't like to exercise. I just like to compete. If I quit soccer, it's not like I'll take up jogging, yoga, or some other form of healthy activity. I'll just get fat. Luckily for me, teaching requires me to be on my feet for 12,000+ steps a day, which helps.

Yep. I'm still playing soccer after all these years. Metallic knees and all. I can't walk away just yet. First game this past Sunday. I hadn't done a ton of preparation/exercise over the past 3 months, so I was worried about how my body would react. Turns out, it wasn't an issue. I pinched a nerve in my neck the morning of, picking up my soccer bag. On the IR before getting into the car.
  21. You're missing the best part of the paradox. Texas underutilized all this talent v. Texas will suck next year because they lost so much talent.
  22. Too soon. I very distinctly recall listening to that game in some random apartment off Riverside.
  23. I mean, I guess. One game. I get it. But 10 should generally get you a win v a directional school. /Kind of drunk at the Dallas Irish Festival
  24. Well done guys. Well done.
