  1. Going back a couple of weeks... Christmas Eve. 6:30 PM. I'm almost an entire bottle of wine in and comfortably watching A Christmas Story. Parents show up to open presents. First I'm hearing of this, but fine. Wife: Can you go get the tamales? Me: What are you talking about? Wife: I ordered a dozen tamales from *local Mexican restaurant*. Me: I'm almost to the bottom of this bottle of wine, it's raining, and I seriously doubt this place is still open. Did they call you? Wife: No. Me: I'm 100% positive this place isn't open right now. Mom: Fine. I'll go get it. I can't believe you'd make your mom drive in the rain. I'm so sick and tired of you and your brother @Jameslaw121 drinking all the time. Narrator: We don't. Me taking the high road as I pass my wife going up the stairs to get dressed: Thanks for ruining Christmas!!! It all worked out. Everyone ended up apologizing. But, I'm still perplexed by the, "I hope our tamales are ready and waiting for us at 6:30PM on Christmas Eve.
  2. I kind of now know how Uga must have felt.
  3. Awesome. Thanks. I'll hit you up as the trip nears.
  4. Just started it. Chick from GLOW; dude from FNL. I didn't know about Explosions in the Sky. Thanks.
  5. About to get back in the saddle. After moving back to DFW, I went through "cycling depression" in that there are no empty roads, no scenery, no hills, etc... My bike has been collecting dust. But, I've got something to plan for hence this post. I'll be in Denver for a couple of weeks this summer. I'm pretty sure west of Denver kicks the shit out of anything I saw in the Smokies. Anyone on here know the area? I've looked on Strava, YouTube, some Denver Trek site, etc... There's almost too many options. Ideally, 30-40 miles, climbs, but no cars.
  6. Team Notre Dame. Here. I neither like nor dislike either team. I'm pulling for Notre Dame because, 1. If Texas loses, I don't want to see an all Big 10 final. I mean, the game would be fine, but the slobbering, not so much. 2. If Texas wins, we beat the team that aggy lost to at home. It'd be good for some laughs.
  7. My experience was mostly around the SFA campus (college sweetheart) but, yes beautiful area.
  8. Underated and rarely quoted lines: Eddie: Your company kill a them people in India not too long ago? Clark: Naw. We missed out on that one.
  9. Albert Burditt gave me a concussion in Gregory. My dumb ass thought taking a charge in a pickup game against an actual monster was a good idea.
  10. I clicked on the on3 link and saw that Agiye Hall went from Bama to Texas to UCF and now to Sacramento State. 😬
  11. December LDL 201; overall cholesterol 281. It's genetic because I'm in pretty good shape - 6' 200lbs. My current go-to for insomnia is half a bag of beef jerky, so I guess I'm cutting that out.
  12. Team. It's been a grind, but I think I've aged you well... I know Cheez Its is a big sponsor of the bowls and playoffs but, fuck's sake, film a new commercial.
  13. Got an idea for the whiny ags and sooners. Stop bringing our strength of schedule down. Pussies.
  14. Yep. That was the intent of my earlier post #4908. Just horrible.
  15. Oh they called holding. A completely egregious call on the 2nd punt return. Of course, there was no replay, but if you have it on DVR, go back and watch. The ASU player throws a blocker to the ground; blocker gets called for holding. Ridiculous and cost us, once again, a shitton of momentum. I think we would have had the ball on their 40 up 14-3. Instead, we're on our own 30 and go 3 and out.
  16. Well don't tell the aggys. They've got their panties in a wad over this.
  17. F that guy. Acting like a cocky bitch when something went this way, then, scowling when something didn't. In the first quarter he pushed one of his teammates after not converting a 3rd (or 4th) down. He had 38 effing touches. I think I'd get over 200 yards with 38 touches.
  18. Texags: To the rest of the SEC for letting in tu 1,264 Views | 12 Replies | Last: 8 min ago by riverrataggie maxag42 4:23p This is what happens. We TOLD you. They got away with holding, targeting, everything all year long. They pay the refs. We ****ing told you. 24 HJack20 4:24p AG What are we complaining about? Targeting? 3 FJB 4:25p AG To the "fans" on this site who were all giddy….
  19. Yep. I have extremely vivid dreams and have one, at least once a month, in which Texas loses a game like this. Glad my nightmare didn't come true.
  20. Luckily, I can't punch worth a shit so no drywall repairs.
  21. Yep. 10 penalties to 6 PLUS not one holding call on ASU's o-line. 90+ plays against, arguably, the best defense in football and you don't see ONE holding call?
