  1. Lots of thoughts where this can go. You can have a true super league where the best of Big Ten and SEC split off and form a new league. You can have a partnership model where both leagues remain separate and just negotiate a single post season game together where the winners of their individual conference only playoff play each other. You can have a deal where they basically continue as is but grow and raise the cost of entry until it’s only a few conferences participating at the elite level. They can split off from the NCAA entirely, or just breakaway team sports or revenue sports. It’s hard to tell what the future may bring and there are a lot of lawsuits and TV money that could significantly change what direction the winds may blow. But above it all, getting into the SEC or Big Ten is the safest bet, which is why you’ll continue to see FSU/Clemson and UNC pushing to join.
  2. If they were a completely free agent they’d want them in the SEC. The whole argument that they already have the states of Florida and South Carolina is overblown. It’s no longer about tv footprints/markets, it’s about how many eyeballs watch and will pay to watch your program. FSU/Clemson along with ND are the only 3 remaining programs that have a top 25 stadium by capacity that are not already in the Big Ten or SEC. Clemson/UGA pulled 8 million viewers in week one and FSU’s first 2 games against weak competition were over 4 million. In week 3 FSU’s game against Memphis was the highest rated game on ESPN that day. FSU/Clemson in the SEC equals even more big games. It would be a great opportunity for ESPN…if they were free agents but they are not. ESPN has them for cheap until 2036. ESPN has been cutting costs and even though FSU/Clemson would bring in some more viewers, it’s not worth paying them another $50million a year. ESPN is a business and won’t pay out money for a product that is only marginally better than what they currently have.
  3. Ole Miss/Kiffin beat Wake Forest so bad they are paying $1 million to not travel to Oxford next year for a second blow out. pretty shitty if you ask me
  4. Will the cops be reading chat too? Asking for a friend.
  5. Tennessee allows the kicker to audible an on side kick? That’s…?…?…?…bold…
  6. Long ESPN article on PAC expansion. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41260683/inside-look-pac-12-conference-rebuild-add-four-teams
  7. They each have their moments. I’ll agree it’s better than nothing but I think they could be better.
  8. American Conference going after Air Force from the MWC. Would give them all three service academies in football. https://www.on3.com/nil/news/american-athletic-conference-aac-targets-air-force-pac-12-expansion-memphis-tulane/
  9. These are all dumb but I like this guy better the sec shorts.
  10. You forgot Knight and Ass My Dude?
  11. If the PAC is successful in luring Memphis, Tulane and few Texas schools to their revamped conference, I think you’ll see the Sun Belt Conference go after East Carolina and South Florida. You’d have the PAC and the SBC pretty much leading the G5.
  12. Can’t believe a Florida fan hasn’t started a stream like this…/noCR
  13. I actually appreciate his commitment to the bit. It’s not clever or funny, but his commitment is admirable.
  14. CBS projecting playoff/bowl games, clearly CBS has a hard on for the Big 12 because this make perfect sense… https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/bowl-projections-memphis-win-over-florida-state-helps-push-tigers-into-college-football-playoff-field/ Big12: 4 spots SEC/B1G: 3 spots each ACC/G5: 1 spots each
  15. And that we can agree on. Too much bitchassness around that place.
  16. You guys took a bad loss at home and had a chance to make/win your title game. We got fucked over by coaches in our own conference in the coaches poll which gave OU the tie breaker. It’s bullshit. We have every right to bitch about it, so yeah we will. We were robbed of a chance to play for it all where we would have skull fucked you jean short wearing mothers fuckers, so thank rape enabling Art Briles and the other douche bag coaches for voting OU 1/Texas 5 and letting you play big game bob instead of Colt.
  17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_college_football_teams_by_weekly_appearances_atop_AP_poll This has us at 46 weeks total. 4 national titles where we were #1 at the end of the season plus your 40 above gets you to 44 which means you’re missing 2 weeks somewhere.
  18. Eat a dick. Florida beat Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field and lost to an unranked Ole Miss at HOME. Texas beat Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field and lost to number 6 ranked Tech IN Lubbock.
  19. It’s going to be bad regardless, but letting your team not have someone at the helm for all of Nov/Dec would be worse than keeping him.
  20. If the rumor is true that they want to hire Kiffin (who Vegas thinks will will make the CFP) then waiting until after the season to fire him would be far better than firing him early, letting all your players go into the portal and having very few high school recruits sign on NSD in Dec.
  21. Bobby Burton said on his post game podcast that Quinn’s injury doesn’t sounds serious and that Blue could have played today but was held out to give him healthy.
