  1. Do you want a 911 competitor or a supercar? That's pretty much what you're asking. I've spent some time in both, and the 720 (and 750) feels significantly different than the 570. They offer more "wow factor", for lack of a better term. The exterior and interior of the 720 have more detail and thought put into them. It presents as a product that more thought was put into the design, rather than the 570, which other than the doors, feels like most other cars. For either one, you'll want to figure out where the closest dealer is and assume you'll be bringing the car to them frequently. Your other option for service is to check this guy's schedule and get on it: https://www.mcmedics.com/ I just spent yesterday at COTA in a 750S, and it's an impressive car. The August heat only allowed for one hot lap at a time, and the 750S next to us puked out coolant after it's first session, so you can't expect the reliability of a Porsche. However, if you're goal is to own something you don't see every day, that works great on regular roads, and has an insane performance envelope, it's an option to consider.
  2. I saw a peregrine falcon in Point Venture a few months ago, but haven't seen it, again. Had a bald eagle sighting last week. Pileated woodpecker last week in Dale. I know pictures would make this post much better, but love seeing these birds.
  3. Can't recommend AF1 highly enough. The only reason I bought my Aprilia was because AF1 was nearby. They're widely recognized as the best Apriila dealership in the country, and they offer the same level of service and support with the other brands that they carry.
  4. M235I is a great car, if you can find one in good shape. Toss a set of camber plates on it, and it's an absolute blast on the track and back roads. Just keep up with maintenance and Rojo Jr should be fine.
  5. I'm not sure how bad the damage is, but I'd have a PDR shop go through the truck before letting anyone throw bondo at it.
  6. You'd think that, but 4 months from now, something else will set her off and you'll be getting interrogated about those 20 minutes like your marriage depends on it. At that point, you won't even remember why the hell you did it, but your life and bank account will depend on it.
  7. TILT. Will not be googling.
  8. Haven't read the whole thread, but I can't f'ing believe DHS is spending $200 mill on those sh*t ads with Kristi Noem. 2024 budget for public broadcasting was $535 million. Why are we spending money to advertise a federal agency? It's not recruiting related, it's purely for publicity. What the actual f*ck?
  9. 749/999 is a beautiful bike that is starting to gain the following that it deserves. Congrats to your son on his new bike and hard work!
  10. Honestly, this is similar to what I came up with. At some point in time, the remaining men figure out they need to use the dead bodies to kill the gorilla. The argument that the gorilla would get tired is bullshit. I feel like the gorilla would just turn ripping guy's heads off into a cardio workout.
  11. I actually always thought that atf had more detergents than regular oil, but did some research and learned something today. It sounds like oil would be the better option. Reference
  12. Anyone else confused by the depiction of a brain in that meme?
  13. Has anyone asked how many chickens there are in Greenland? I mean maybe Trump is a genius, and we just don't know it? (Highly unlikely, I know)
  14. Looks beautiful. You should be proud!
  15. Moved into our new place in July, so we haven't had a chance to acquire the "second set of" stuff. Yeah, HEB would have been a totally viable solution as well.
  16. The point can be argued, but I wasn't complaining about her choice for a permanent solution as: 1) the Solo cups are stored nowhere close to the dog food bin 2) the Solo cups are replaced by the same person that is responsible for taking out the garbage and the recycling There's literally a shredded Solo cup sitting in the bin, now. I've held off on replacing it in anticipation of this epic solution.
  17. The whole point was to leave the scoop in with the dog food. I'll let you guess how many times the Solo cups get washed.
  18. Well, I made a solid recovery from the asshole zone. Admittedly, the whole thing is probably my fault as I left my wife unsupervised. About 2 months ago, she proudly ordered a measuring cup for our dogs' food on Amazon. I didn't really think anything of it, as we have two dogs: one gets 1 cup of food per meal, the other gets two cups of food per meal. Our current solution has been to use a red Solo cup until it ultimately self destructs, and we replace it with another one, so I fully supported this purchase. Before Christmas, my wife informs me that the measuring cup isn't expected to arrive until after Christmas, as it's coming from the UK. This should have raised some flags, but I let it go. Today, the long anticipated day arrived and she showed me the measuring cup: I started laughing as soon as I saw it, which immediately led to her getting upset and telling me that she figured we could use it for other things like measuring food in the kitchen. I held off on the obvious issue with not wanting my food being measured with the same device we use for dog food. I was able to take the edge off with some kind words and affection. Needless to say, I ordered this today: It arrives tomorrow.
  19. So, sell it all today?
  20. Tell me you're on the stonks thread, without telling me you're on the stonks thread.
  21. Looks like your opinion could be correct. See you at $100k?
  22. I think we'll see a slight pullback (mid-$80k) before the run to $100k, but I'm not selling what I hold.
  23. Second question, can you explain how BTC is leveraged? Specifically, more leveraged than any other "real asset" that people can invest in? I'm fully aware of the fact that people are buying BTC on margin, and companies like MSTR have used debt to acquire BTC, but how is this any different than the stock market or mortgages? The introduction of options trading against IBIT does add more leverage, but I'd argue that we haven't gotten to the point where you can leverage leverage on BTC the way you can with many investments. So, is the leverage just worse because it's Bitcoin, or is there some way in which people are getting significantly more leverage on their BTC investments than other "real investments?"
  24. So, it's safe to say that your primary argument is less about a 51% attack, and more about the code being hacked. If that's the case, is it safe to say that I should have the same level of concern for a BTC hack as I have for my Fidelity account being hacked? If that's your point, then sure, I'll accept it, but in that situation, we're going to have much bigger problems, as I think it's safe to say, unless BTC flips the banking industry, hackers will be going after the bigger fish first.
