Top 50 Falcons: No. 44, Justin Blalock

During my time on the 40 I ended up becoming friends with the 3rd string RB, Antwuan Hobbs.  We shared a German class together.  After class one day he introduced me to Blalock and goddamn, those lineman are a LOT bigger in person.  Anyway, he took his time to chat with me and was a cool dude.  Great Longhorn.

I knew it wasn’t raining during the crash but thought perhaps beforehand.

Checking the weather on that day reveals 0 precip. Damn. Spoofed on a pilot website.

The only B2 to ever crash was brought down because they left the B2s outside in the rain.  Got inside the sensors and fucked them up.  Made the plane think it wasn't at the altitude it was actually at.  Luckily both the pilots ejected right as the wing started scrapping the ground.

  3. I wonder what future war we'll get dragged into when terrorists inevitably attack us for this shit.  Since we never actually go after the right people, I'm sure it'll be Turkey or Egypt or some shit.  They got some oil hiding under the pyramids, right?

  4. Change the laws so that every time a cop fucks up the lawsuit money gets taken out of their pension fund instead of being paid for by the taxpayers and this problem solves itself overnight.

What a fucking fight. The kid from SA wasn't ready to go, he had some fight mentally, but his body wasn't reciprocating that fire. Inoue broke him down, even though it felt like the body was there for the taking if the kid would've just committed to it. His best moments were countering and hitting the body. Inoue is for real, can't hate on that. But he was at least given a fight tonight and was overwhelmed a few times in the fight, just never gave in to the pressure and kept on his front foot.

Brilliant fight.  Saved the weekend after the historically awful fights we had.  Inoue really needs to work on not getting out over his skis when he's on the attack.  Cardenas dropped him with the exact same counter punch Nery did.  That shit is gonna get him in trouble at 126.

  6. Holy hell but this whole weekend of boxing was awful.  Not a single engaging fight but a lot of ultimate snooze fests.  Inoue save us tomorrow my little Japanese king!

  7. Enjoyed having Lampley there on the broadcast.  Was nice to see him clowning on the awful fights.  American boxing is cooked.  A bunch of mediocre, spoiled, prima donnas who don't bring it on fight night.  Luckily we get the Saudi card today and Inoue on Sunday.

The props to God with all of this materialism, conspicuous consumption and arrogance on display does not align. Maybe it's part of the prosperity gospel trash.

As long as Deion doesn't start begging people to donate money to him so he can buy a private plane to do the Lord's work like the televangelists do.

It's the Browns. The only surprise is they didn't take him in the first.

I do wonder if he would have gone undrafted if the Browns didn't exist.

That pick reeks of that dumbass Jimmy Haslam sticking his nose in and forcing the team to draft him.  Did you see the faces of Stefanski and the rest of them when the pick was called?  Looked like they wanted to jump out a window.

I don’t think Ewers is an NFL QB, but I’m also pretty sure that some of the guys taken ahead of him aren’t either.

I don't think a single QB taken in this past weekend's draft is going to be great in the league.  Maybe Cam Ward.  Maybe.  The rest of them?  Basically zero chance.  Browns need a QB and they took a couple of lottery tickets to find a backup QB while basically punting on the issue until 2026.  The Steelers need a QB, read the room, and decided they'd rather take the 40 year old diva hippie than pick any of these guys.  The Giants were the only team to spend real capital on a QB and Drian Daboll is kind of a fucking moron, so that tracks.  Even so, they grabbed Dart near the back half of the 1st.

A lot of guys that went before Quinn who you've never heard of are guys with good to great athleticism and could be used other places or in situational downs, etc.  Also, injury free.  Quinn has massive QBing problems plus he's made of glass.  Should have transferred to an easier conference and tried to get a full year of injury free ball.  Many GMs would have glossed over his injury history if he'd been able to string together an entire season with no missed playing time.  Clean up a few of his really bad habits and he could have been a 2nd/3rd round pick next year.  Not like next year's QB class is going to be much better than this one anyway.

  11. If he was going to go anywhere, Miami is probably the best place for him.  Great weather, they get the ball out quick, and he'll probably only be there to hold the team together for a few weeks when Tua knocks himself silly again.

  12. Btw, the Eagles is probably the best landing spot for Cam.  Stoutland as his O-line coach?  Gets to learn from Lane Johnson?  Great for his chances of turning into a starter.

Not a QE apologist (he has his flaws), but Sark's playcalling and Cam Williams doing an "ole`" on Jack Sawyer were the main culprits.  And fuck you for making me re-live that sequence of plays.

Apologies.  It's pretty much seared into my brain.

Some fans can't cope with getting beat in the semis, so this helps build a narrative that our QB held us back.

Did he not?  Or did I hallucinate him choking the game away at the end?

I mean, its pretty clearly the injury history that has spooked the GMs more than anything else.

Or his terrible deep ball, his terrible pocket presence, his poor accuracy past 5-10 yards, etc.

Hayden Conner going undrafted? I get it - he's a statue.

Ewers, Williams, and Majors? No way

Majors is the one I'm surprised by.  Heard some draft guys say they were pretty high on him.
