  1. Any of you out there collect militaria? If so, what? I collect WWII memorabilia primarily focusing on US named uniforms (100+). In addition to uniforms I have a little bit of everything else including headgear, field gear, manuals, pictures, newspapers, books, patches, medals, etc. Most items are US but I do have some Third Reich stuff. (un)Fortunately I have the space in my house to have it all out on display to see and enjoy.
  2. Just now stumbling across this topic as I spend the bulk of my time in the football forum. As time allows I will go back and read the preceding 20+ pages. Glad that I came across this. I have only been hiking for the last 5 years or so and have only done one multi-day hike (Grand Canyon with some older work buddies) that required sleeping on the ground. Would like to do more and plan on doing so in the near future. My issue is that 99.9% of my hikes I do alone. When I do hike with others it is usually with my girlfriend who is a novice at best. I am 54 years old, a dad, and a grandfather so I hike prepared for just about anything which tends to make my pack much heavier than I need it to be. Since I hike alone there is no load-sharing. Plus, with the flexibility of my job I often hike during off-times when there may not be anyone else on the trail. Most of my hikes have been between 5 to 15 miles long. In the past year I have hiked the following areas/trails: El Malpais Obed: Lilly Bluffs Trail Cumberland Gap: Hensley Settlement Trail and the White Rocks/Sand Cave Trails Buffalo National River: Tyler Bend Area (ticks were horrible), Ponca Wilderness Area (Hemmed-In Falls/Buffalo River) Petrified Forest National Park Saguaro National Park Sedona: Cathedral Rocks and Munds Mountain Wilderness Smoky Mountain NP: Alum Cave, Mt LeConte/Myrtle Point In late October the girlfriend and I are driving from East Texas to the Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone NP. I just hope the weather holds off as I am only driving a 2-wheel drive Silverado. We plan on driving through the parks and doing a daily hike. We will be in Yellowstone for 3 days and the Tetons for 2 days. Any thoughts on some easy to moderate hikes?
  3. I am 54 and I still cannot believe that it is a "thing".
  4. A buddy of mine was an offensive lineman’ for Navy. He flew transport and intel type aircraft.
  5. All of Dutton's enemies were in on the hits. Coincidence that they all happened at the same time. Casey is a warrior. He has the Indians "respect". The Indian lawyer woman put her men on him without Rainwater's approval/knowledge. His driver may have known or was in on it. The Equity lawyer said that it is time to start treating this case like a Middle East case. They bomb things in the Middle East. The Equity people had the hit on Beth. John Dutton was attacked by people employed by Jamie with the help of his dad. His dad got some drunk cellmates to do the hit. They are not pros. The Duttons get revenge. Rip goes wild(er). The Montana cattlemen that were just in Casey's office form a posse and help the Duttons out. In the end Tate gets the ranch. The Duttons win becasue Tate is a Dutton and the Indians win because Tate is half Indian. The land is preserved for all.
  6. Looked like the receiver slipped a bit otherwise the DB would have had to go through the receiver for the pick.
  7. Why does him driving 3-1/2 hours to give the Horns to Guy not surprise me? He is just that kind of a person. Hookem Earl!!
  8. Had to Google. Looks like they wore JT throwback uniforms a few years ago too. Nice.
  9. Yes. Football. Finally. Enjoy it while you can. Will watch. It is football.
  10. Bushes have a tendency to hide some things. I prefer a clear view of what I am getting into.
  11. As a grad transfer I assume he will be a TA. Is he here to school the DB’s or WR’s? Want to know before I sign up for the class.
  12. And does it get better?
  13. You are not alone. Look for a local support group to help you out. I am having to work it out myself out here in the country.
  14. While I enjoy watching the players practice I worry that what I am seeing is either an exceptionally good play by one player or one that is exaggerated by poor play of the other.
  15. This right here. He came close to a crime scene investigator putting his shit in a plastic bag as evidence.
  16. Love this pic
  17. I got a crick in my neck watching this video. Otherwise pretty awesome.
  18. It makes me ragey every time I read a stat about how good he was and nationally ranked in so many categories and yet did not get the recognition or awards that he deserved. You now know that there are going to be so many people that will say that they have been a fan of him for years once he begins to kill it in the NFL. Us Horns fans have always known. He is ours!
  19. Where are the women?
  20. I wonder what the attorney’s fees will be that are advising these student-athletes?
  21. aggy can "strengthen" their schedule on paper for this year knowing full well that the season most likely will not play out therefore not having to face the real consequences of additional losses. However, in subsequent years this schedule will somehow surface in their "strength" of schedule and SEC debates as a bonus.
  22. Newsflash: Dallas has more cases than Hallsville, Texas. Total cases more maybe because more opportunities. What about cases per capita?
  23. Avatar look-a-like
  24. Three letters: BEE
  25. Cape Town is touristy too. Try visiting Johannesburg to see the conditions there. I visit SA a couple of times a year. Visiting is enough as I would not want to live there.
