  1. New York Hill is better. [emoji41]
  2. You right. I could’ve worded that better.
  3. I mean, it would make it up Ranger Hill fine, but yeah they are pretty weak. I would not buy a Tacoma with a 4 cylinder. Well, not that 4 cylinder. The one in the Ranger is fine, for example, but it’s the main engine choice there.
  4. Aaaand he did.
  5. Alonso might get a penalty for this one. https://streamable.com/ixkflg
  6. A few things: 1) The porpoising limit thing won’t be enforced this weekend 2) Cars are going to be allowed a second additional floor stay (the first one is in the far back attached to the rear impact structure, and the second is the easily visible one in front of the rear wheels). Not sure where exactly it will be allowed yet. I’ve checked the technical regs but they aren’t updated yet.
  7. I’m just glad he could get in some sim work today. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ce3_mHEqjtr/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  8. I think you mean the drivers from the driver’s meeting last Friday. But yeah, it’s gonna hand the title to Red Bull.
  9. Does it sit outside in the heat or is it in a garage/covered parking? It makes a gigantic difference if it’s been sitting out in the sun.
  10. Same on my FJ at 135k. It could use new lower control arms and a rebuild on my fancy shocks now, though.
  11. I stayed in a different hotel really near there on a trip (not for the race), and the metro is super easy.
  12. From what I have read, Latifi will finish out the year because it is already “paid for”, but I suppose we will see soon.
  13. Yeah, the garage thing was just having to add fuel. Max still ended up with a tow anyway, but it wasn’t enough. I do think Checo may have run out of battery though.
  14. Look at Checo go!
  15. I dunno, these are pretty sweet. Tbone will love the headstock.
  16. We might actually get a good quality/bitrate stream with Netflix though. That is one of the big downsides of ESPN, their shitty 720p.
  17. I would assume that F1TV will be no more with the money they are going to be paying for the rights.
  18. All of the AE-1 photos look soft, but it seems the worst at infinity focus. You’re using a 50 1.4, right? QC and sharpness on those was much better than the 1.8. If it was a 1.8, it could just be a crappy copy of the lens, depending on which vintage it is. My FD28 2.8 is pretty soft, so I don’t like using it. If you take the lens off, does the mirror seem to be sitting in there normally, or is it canted at all? The pressure plate was my only other suggestion but you said that seems fine. The shots are great, though. That F2, damn!

The Art Pepper really does sound incredible.
  20. Yep^. If that bulkhead doesn’t break apart, then the next weakest link is the engine/monocoque one (which happened with Grojean) and that exposes the fuel tank and ES which isn’t ideal. Going back to the input shaft discussion for a second, here it is from Mick’s crash in Jeddah.
  21. I wish we’d see more of these kind of scenes on TV.
  22. Double post.
  23. Dunno if y’all are nerdy for how stuff actually works like me, but I saw these photos of the Haas and wondered where the hell the input shaft for the gearbox was with all this suspension in the way. Turns out that it just has a long input shaft (twss) that makes its way between all of that stuff in the bellhousing area into the clutch which is mounted on the engine side like a road car. Back of engine/clutch/slave cylinder Approximate input shaft location (was ripped out/sheared in the shunt) Scarbs drawing of a 2014 Mercedes which is how all teams have the gearbox set up now. And for more fun, the labeled suspension components. Lots going on here.
