    Plus, the first two albums are by far my favorites. They include the best examples of British Blues ever recorded, the perfect reinterpretation of blues standards with a harder, fuzzier edge to them.

  3. re: adams

    i forgot he was on the pitch

    if i have time i will rewatch last nights game looking for his contribution or lack thereof

    part of the problem is in the united states, especially on fox, soccer pbp have NO FUCKING IDEA how to call a game without constantly spewing extemporaneous bullshit

    8, 9, 10 touches in a row will take place without the name of the touching player being spoken; it's an infestation across all competitions

    another thing holding us back - kids who don't watch european leagues have no idea how a game is supposed to be called and therefore have no exposure to run of play in true high-level competition

  4. re: unstoppable

    cp is our best player

    on the top 10 national teams, he's 1 of 20

    he might be in the top 5 for a denmark or portugal

    the dutch exposed how far behind we are

    this "golden generation" was a false dawn - we're still decades away

    the only way to accelerate our progress is full and complete adoption of and integration in to the global soccer economy, and that's where we've been since jeonju, 23 years ago

  5. the puto chant = us fans are woke?

    what the everlovingfuck

    in the context of "us fans softness/wokeness" how does that relate to the game on sunday?

    contemplate your answer carefully

    +++

    re: cp i agree with him and so does juergen klopp - playing 22 months in a row is bullshit

    furthermore, in the global soccer economy, some, but very few, fucks are given about a tournament that includes teams that are not members of fifa, is always played in the same country, and features b/c players from the host nation's exhibition league that doesn't align with the global soccer calendar, does not have real competition from promotion/relegation and continues to make up 'rules' to 'explain' how the single entity does business with the rest of the world

  6. neither accuse, admit or stuff bags

    tosu announcing they are playing by the rules is so stupid, i will be surprised if aggy can't resist creaming their summer cake with the same confession ejaculation

    the screencap upthread about fake money being thrown around is the best explanation

    college football is creating their own version of mortgage-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations

    we are winning with a diverse portfolio - can we at least get to december and see how this first settlement cycle plays out?

  7. i don't do social so just to make sure i understand this correctly.....

    @cupdates dude is either the official or defacto xitter updater dude for the director's cup

    aggy owns intertrons

    aggy bitches up a storm about ebil sips playing sportz aggy don't play

    therefore sips did not win director's cup OR director's cup is not real OR goatfucking is not included in director's cup, etc.

    @cupdates dude can't use his socialtrons because of aggy infestation

    @cupdates dude creates NEW metric exactly the way aggy would - selective data parsing specific to aggy

    not only does aggy not win aggy-specific metrics, they don't finish top 5, and sips still win

    did i get that right?

    please post texags or secrant links documenting the afterbirth

  8. i searched "what are the worst washing machine brands" and ai listed every us brand except speedqueen but 3.5cf is too small so i am going to end up buying the same fucking machine i bought last time because it's the only one larger than 3.5cf that does not have a bunch of electronics i don't want and don't need

    it's official

    western civilization, at least the us market for washing machines, has completed 100% enshittification

    we can't build a washing machine that doesn't suck

    the end is near

    Take a look at the profile here. Graham wearing a Baylor polo, studies at South Carolina, nothing really aggy at all. I think Graham may be some rando in South Carolina using gpt and a texags script to cash in on those rubes.

    that page says he's been a student at cocks since august of 2016

    the bayler polo indicating a waco connection leads to this:

    there is no church in waco with that name, but there is a church with that name in cocktown sc

    for someone with this prolific level of output, zero podcast appearances, zero interviews, zero youtube tiktok social anything, zero public events, zero, zero, zero

  10. catching up and very late to post the departure of Olen Underwood, a junior starter in '63, on 28 february 2025

    his son and i were part of the same jester east tribe 84-86, so i went to their house a couple of times

    very low key on the memorabilia - he had a '63 team signed football and 1 small framed pic as a bronco - no oilers despite the conroe home base

    https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/courier/name/olen-underwood-obituary?id=57868606

    his last game as a horn was the 65 orange bowl - namath DID NOT get in to the endzone - and this new video posted 8 months ago proves it:

    He's really almost too good to be true and he reads exactly like AI.

    But then I think about the ags I know in real life who think, and talk, in this exact same way, and I become less sure of my position on the matter.

    aggy irl do not write with perfect spelling, grammar and syntax

    no one has filmed or recorded him period, much less speaking extemporaneously

    at this point i would take odds on him not even knowing about the use of his name and image

  12. rewatching the penals....

    did not know mls2 ties go to penals.....  freese was 5 of 6 in philly union mls2 penals.....

    freese went the wrong way on the tico's first kick then guessed correctly on the next 5

    there are lots of datapoints out there about penals.....

    +++

    To determine the chance of correctly guessing the outcome of 5 consecutive penalty kicks, the probability of guessing correctly on a single kick is needed
    .
    1. Probability of guessing correctly on a single penalty kick:

        Assuming each penalty kick has two outcomes (goal or miss), the probability of guessing correctly by chance would be 1/2 or 50%.

    2. Probability of guessing correctly on 5 consecutive penalty kicks:

        Because each penalty kick is considered an independent event, the probability of guessing all 5 correctly can be calculated by multiplying the probability of guessing each kick correctly together.
        Therefore, the probability of guessing 5 consecutive penalty kicks correctly is (1/2) * (1/2) * (1/2) * (1/2) * (1/2) = (1/2)^5 = 1/32.

    Result:

        The chance of correctly guessing the outcome of 5 consecutive penalty kicks is 1/32 or approximately 3.125%.

    Note: This calculation assumes a simple 50/50 chance for each penalty kick outcome. In reality, the probability of a penalty kick resulting in a goal is significantly higher, around 75-80%. However, when simply guessing the outcome without any knowledge of the player or situation, a 50/50 chance is a reasonable assumption.

    +++

    According to BBC, only 4% of penalties shot down the middle of the goal are saved. In contrast, 16% of penalties shot to the side are saved. However, shooting down the middle can also increase the chances of hitting the woodwork (7%) or missing the target completely (17%).
    Other factors that can affect the outcome of a penalty kick include:

        Goalkeeper's position
        According to InnerDrive, goalkeepers are twice as likely to save a penalty if they stay in the middle of the goal instead of diving to the side. However, a 2021 study by Ben Lyttleton found that the middle of the goal is actually where goalkeepers save the most penalties.

    Goalkeeper's anticipation
    Goalkeepers who can anticipate the direction of the kick have a better chance of making a save.
    Goalkeeper's height and reach
    Taller goalkeepers with longer reaches may have an advantage in covering the goal.
    Psychological tactics
    Goalkeepers can use psychological tactics to distract the kicker. For example, a goalkeeper can stand slightly off-center to bias the penalty taker into kicking to the side with more space, allowing the goalkeeper to dive in that direction.

    +++

    the bolded part about going down the middle and skying the ball, especially if the attempt is a panenka soft-loft, doesn't seem to make sense, but recall baggio 94 to fucking LOSE the world cup:

    +++

    freese won this shootout over the world's former #1

    navas is the most-decorated goalkeeeper in concacaf history - if you don't know it check it out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keylor_Navas

    they both achieved an incredible statistical improbability of guessing correctly 5 in a row

    if there are 3 possible choices, left-center-right then making 5 correct choices in a row is not .5*.5 etc. it's .33 * .33 * .33 * .33 * .33 = 0.004

    and they both did it (navas kicks 1-5, freese kicks 2-6)

    maybe i've seen battling keepers guess 5 in a row but i don't remember it

    so freese' achievement is more remarkable in that on the day he did it besting the former world #1 when navas was also channeling the force with all-galaxy form

    +++

    choosing left right or down the middle is not the same thing as making the save - and that's how freese won

    navas choices

    1 correct - on goal - fingertips - not saved

    2 correct - on goal - fingertips - not saved

    3 correct - missed goal - not saveable - "saved"

    4 correct - on goal - not saveable - not saved

    5 correct - on goal - saveable - saved

    6 not correct - on goal - not saveable - not saved

    freese choices

    1 not correct - on goal - not saveable - not saved

    2 - correct - on goal - saveable - saved

    3 - correct - on goal - fingertips - not saved

    4 - correct - on goal - fingertips - not saved

    5 - correct - on goal - saveable - saved (statue panenka!) (this is how the match was won)

    6 - correct - on goal - saveable - saved

    so the tale of the tape...

    saveable - saved:

    navas 1

    freese 3

    fingertips - not saved:

    navas 2

    freese 2

    not saveable - not saved:

    navas 2

    freese 1

    at the end of the day, the nats took 1 better kick, with a keeper that made +2 saves, when both keepers guessed correctly 5 in a row, despite beerholder2 keeping navas alive

    this is just incredible when compared to the marianas trench graveyard of the three lions in tournament penals - you could see it in the ticos faces - with navas they were sure they were going to prevail

    +++

    shots down the middle

    ticos: 2

    nats: 0

    i don't have a take on this but it's interesting - i don't recall any team going down the middle more than once in one set of penals

    +++

    sod over turf remains a FULL AGGY decision only concalaugh and mls can justify to themselves

    the family karma is not copacetic with national team football
