  1. All the olds getting their undies in a wad over Arch is hilarious. I think Arch could have benefited from going to an actual Public Louisiana HS socially. His behavior seems a bit non-self aware, he could use a clowning or two.
  2. I thought Clark looked a lot better tonight. He played much faster. Simon runs like a veteran, he probably needs another off-season to build up his body. Gibson ran tough but he needs to accelerate with more conviction, the dudes a verified 4.5 guy. He seems like he’s passive at times. Niblett looks like a totally different guy in the backfield than he does as a punt returner, dude gets up field in a flash.
  3. Caldwell looks polished mechanically. Decent wheels. Arm is live. He could probably be starting somewhere in the P4.
  4. I didn’t say Tortas.
  5. The bad Latinas are out tonight. That’s probably what motivated the team.
  6. Niblett is starting to develop as a punt returner, less thinking, more acceleration. Also Clark looks much more explosive today.
  7. Niblett looks so much more explosive in the backfield and on screens.
  8. That wasn’t pretty but that’s probably our most complete offensive drive this season.
  9. Big12 Refs handed Utah 3 with that drive.
  10. Why doesn’t ESPN do 4K broadcasts like Fox? The Tech Broadcast looks amazing
  11. Vanilla? We ran about every goddamn run concept in existence last weekend. Counter, read, read counter, outside zone, inside zone, QB Power, etc. We sucked at most of it too.
  12. Sam’s gonna sit in a high shell all game and see if Texas can run the ball/complete chain moving passes. Rinse repeat from every other team we play this year.
  13. The pressure only ramps up from here.
  14. I agree with a lot of things that you’ve said. This offense isn’t being “fixed” in two weeks though. You don’t just go from struggling to get first downs against UTEP & San Jose State to putting up points in SEC play. The only thing that the team seems to do well at this point is designed QB runs, and sometimes the undesigned ones. I don’t know how Arch’s family feels about that, but he might want to lean it to it if he wants to remain a starter. I also have this delusional thought in my head that Mosleys return will help the offense at least stay on the field longer.
  15. I’m not as seasoned of a CFB spectator as some of you boys, but I’ve got about 15 years of solid ball watching under my belt. I can’t think of one example of a mediocre team improving week to week, so much so that they’re almost a different team by the end of the season. It’s Week 3 and you can damn near count the number of legitimate successful offensive drives on one hand. That’s not going to change overnight. That was a tough watch today, preparing myself mentally for a season of it.
