  1. I thought Clark looked a lot better tonight. He played much faster. Simon runs like a veteran, he probably needs another off-season to build up his body. Gibson ran tough but he needs to accelerate with more conviction, the dudes a verified 4.5 guy. He seems like he’s passive at times. Niblett looks like a totally different guy in the backfield than he does as a punt returner, dude gets up field in a flash.
  2. Caldwell looks polished mechanically. Decent wheels. Arm is live. He could probably be starting somewhere in the P4.
  3. I didn’t say Tortas.
  4. The bad Latinas are out tonight. That’s probably what motivated the team.
  5. Niblett is starting to develop as a punt returner, less thinking, more acceleration. Also Clark looks much more explosive today.
  6. Niblett looks so much more explosive in the backfield and on screens.
  7. That wasn’t pretty but that’s probably our most complete offensive drive this season.
  8. Big12 Refs handed Utah 3 with that drive.
  9. Why doesn’t ESPN do 4K broadcasts like Fox? The Tech Broadcast looks amazing
  10. Vanilla? We ran about every goddamn run concept in existence last weekend. Counter, read, read counter, outside zone, inside zone, QB Power, etc. We sucked at most of it too.
  11. Sam’s gonna sit in a high shell all game and see if Texas can run the ball/complete chain moving passes. Rinse repeat from every other team we play this year.
  12. The pressure only ramps up from here.
  13. I agree with a lot of things that you’ve said. This offense isn’t being “fixed” in two weeks though. You don’t just go from struggling to get first downs against UTEP & San Jose State to putting up points in SEC play. The only thing that the team seems to do well at this point is designed QB runs, and sometimes the undesigned ones. I don’t know how Arch’s family feels about that, but he might want to lean it to it if he wants to remain a starter. I also have this delusional thought in my head that Mosleys return will help the offense at least stay on the field longer.
  14. I’m not as seasoned of a CFB spectator as some of you boys, but I’ve got about 15 years of solid ball watching under my belt. I can’t think of one example of a mediocre team improving week to week, so much so that they’re almost a different team by the end of the season. It’s Week 3 and you can damn near count the number of legitimate successful offensive drives on one hand. That’s not going to change overnight. That was a tough watch today, preparing myself mentally for a season of it.
  15. It’s hilarious tbh. It’s one of the more interesting things to observe as a young fan who didn’t grow up with that rivalry. The olds literally use them a barometer. It’s weird.
  16. That’s three hours I’ll never get back.
  17. That was Arch’s best throw this season. Perfect ball.
  18. Is Joeys mom single?
  19. Let me see his momma one more time.
  20. I don’t mind one bit. I’d be that boys step daddy and we’re damn near the same age.
  21. Do we? CJ & Wisner don’t look particularly explosive. I’d say our RB room is pretty average.
  22. We got to have a better corner than Guilbeau.
  23. I thought that was a screen the way January got upfield so quick.
  24. Cons: * Arch’s sloppy mechanics. This seemingly came out of nowhere. It’ll be tough to win in Gainesville, Dallas, or Athens with that kind of inconsistency. * Pre-Snap movement. This was expected. Baker had a solid game, but he will hear from Flood. * Offensive game plan, Patrica took Sarks lunch money. Arch couldn’t hit the lay ups, probably threw a wrench is some things. * RedZone. Insane calls. How is this still a thing? * Teams will draw up shots at Guilbeau, he looks like the weak link in the secondary. * Penalties continue to hurt this team enough to lose games. OSU’s only legitimate drive was the result of two third and long penalties. Pros: * Arch is a big physical mother fucker and he showed he could make big time throws. There’s a lot to like there, I just hope the lights aren’t too big for him. * CJ. Who would have thought he could give us those kind of snaps in Week 1. He was running over Buckeyes every snap. The explosion is not quite there yet, but he wasn’t slow. * Offensive Line. As a unit; they had a solid day. They were adequate in pass protection and they looked like the best Texas ground game line in years. * LBs. Ant had a quiet day on the broadcast but I seen him blowing stuff up constantly. Lefau has always been a dog in the trenches and yesterday was no different. * TE. Jack came down with everything. He was giving his all in the run game too. * Littleton. It’s crazy that he was one of the last guys in the 2025 class, I don’t think anyone had expectations for him. He was flying around man. He can accelerate and he’s got good size. Dude played his first college game against NFL receivers and held his own. * Defensive Line. Maybe not as disruptive as lines of years past. No one is running these guys over though. Add On anything I Missed.
  25. I’m not going to lie, today was concerning. A third year QB missing check downs. The little twink at OSU hit his check downs. We got a month to see if Arch can get it together.
