  1. Alright, let’s not go that far……
  2. The offensive line has been subpar in the running game. Arch has been terrible. Both are true
  3. I’m trying real hard to be the shepherd David, but I’m seeing an awful lot of negatives in multiple units of the offense. Is it growing pains with a number of new starters across the offensive 11? Perhaps. Can this turn around in time to salvage this season? Perhaps. Is this simply going to be a rebuilding year? That’s certainly on the table. Do the players on the offensive side of the ball just have the wrong stuff? Unfortunately, that’s on the table as well. If the latter, the one thing I can assure you is The Longhorn fan base won’t have the patience to see it out, especially as the OU’s, A&M’s, hell, even the Texas Tech’s pass them in the fast lane.
  4. The running game needs reps to try and raise the level of the O-line in the running game. The passing game needs reps to raise Arch’s confidence and perhaps get some looks at other WRs. Exasperating how many elements of the offense need improvement and fast
  5. Well that must’ve been in the 8am hour (which is where I would’ve expected it to be) because I’ve had it on since 9am and it’s been zilch. The point was how far they’ve fallen in the national conscience already
  6. Texas totally irrelevant on the pregame shows this morning. Not a single mention. Not even part of a segment to shit on Arch. Complete and total irrelevance. Gonna have to earn their way back somehow
  7. Jalen Hurts, Kyler Murray…..OU pretty much owned the QB transfer market during the Lincoln Riley era
  8. I keep looking for positives on the offensive side of the ball, and there isn’t much. Arch’s struggles and O-line struggles have gotten the majority of the spotlight. I think more focus needs to be applied to what has been a pretty mid WR room, at least what’s been put on the field so far (time perhaps for a look at other wideouts in game?). The TE room looks more promising in the receiving game, but like the O-line, have had their own shortcomings in the blocking game. I saw a debate earlier of whether or not this is a rebuilding year. At least on the offensive side of the ball, I’d say it’s that at the least.
  9. Got nothing bad to say about Baker. The guy didn’t live up to the expectations of his draft spot, failed to secure 1st contract NFL QB money as a result, was relegated to a career hanger-on as at best a backup, before “earning” his way back into secure starting NFL QB status. Lately, he appears to be performing as a tier 2 starting NFL QB that a team can count on with a game on the line, something more NFL franchises than not “wish” they had.
  10. The schedule says we play BYE the week after. Unclear which provides the sterner test
  11. Anyone calling for an offensive focus on “running the ball” better take a good look at the underperformance of our offensive line in the running game. This offense has problems well beyond a QB w/ a confidence problem.
  12. I’ve seen you pushing this perspective for a minute now. It’s a difficult analysis because the program has risen like a Phoenix out of the scorched earth of the post-Colt McCoy/Mack Brown era. Back-to-back playoff semifinal appearances buy Sark a lot of capital and time. I do think it’s fair to speculate though. Texas’ rise under Sark also coincided w/ the massive paradigm shift of NIL in college football. Did that have as much, or perhaps more, to do w/ Texas’ return to prominence under Sark? Now that I think is fair to consider, though personally I’m not fueling the coaching search plane any time soon
  13. It doesn’t matter what I think. The NFL thought he was a 7th RD pick and barely rosterable. The fact of the matter is Quinn’s stock fell at Texas, and Manning is currently on the same trajectory. That will be the narrative outside the program whether we like it or not
  14. That was OU’s MO w/ a lot of success for a decade
  15. Which is exactly why you can’t bench him. The narrative of Sark Texas football being a QB destination will be over. Arch must improve or that will be the narrative, fair or not. And that’s especially true on the heels of Ewers failing to live up to expectations. It’s a bad place to be, but that’s where they are. Arch must adapt or Sark Texas football will die
  16. I think you have to stick with him if for no other reason, recruiting reasons. But in doing so, ya’ll may have to accept that he’s a multi-year project, and yes, one that may never fulfill expectations
  17. Peyton gene > Eli gene > Cooper gene?…….
  18. The end of that half was like “Well what CAN he do?……run the ball?…..let’s run the ball…..”
  19. I was hoping this season could mix in a good QB controversy. F—k it…..
  20. 4 down territory 😁
  21. In limited action last year, Manning looked far superior to what he’s put on tape as the starter this season. He’s got a confidence problem
  22. Hopefully, we’re witnessing the “low point” of this season……hopefully….
  23. Man, and you’re usually the voice of reason…..
