  1. Oh, fuck right off. Simply clarifying the context for those in the audience that might not have watched the bit. Hell, there was an entire web article posted earlier in the thread that framed Urban's reply in a similar fashion (that he was thinking about whether to take the UT job). He was "thinking about" his best college town pick. But agree with all of your other points - the shit-eating grin in response to Leinart, immediately shifting to head-ducking/being uncomfortable about the subject once remembering the cameras were rolling, etc. Signs are clear he is at the very least considering the job if it were to open (if not already discussing or even agreeing to terms in principle).
  2. Point taken, but I have to call out that the "quote" you reference is framed out of context. That was his reply to Brady asking if Austin was going to Meyer's pick for the "best college town" bit.
  3. 1.) Is there any event last week that would all of a sudden spark weekend behind-the-scenes coaching moves? Only notable developments I can think of are Boom being fired (Sunday), Kansas game being postponed (Wednesday) and Ewers committing to tOSU (Thursday). I'm guessing Ewers would be the most logical, but then again that was largely expected. Perhaps Herman had projected confidence in getting Ewers back on the boat or Ewers was in fact waiting to see what coaching change UT made (if any) and the commitment was a clear signal he was tired of waiting and the window for us taking action with his attention was quickly closing (or already has). 2.) In my totally uninformed opinion, not buying the Herman to SCAR or some middling P5 or G5. I know there has been some limited speculation that Herman is discontent, and obviously his relationship with CDC and others that matter is strained at best, but feels the 9.95'ers would have more specifics and report it with more spotlight if there was truly smoke. Not to mention it seems like a very rare event for a coach to voluntarily jump down (let's consider the "hot seat" situation voluntary) a couple significant rungs in the CFB hierarchy - ones that come to mind are Holgo to UH, Jimbo to A&M (though they'd argue otherwise) and Franchione to A&M (though Bama of that era was not the Bama of today). I can think of significant distinctions between those three situations and Herman's. I know there are other examples, just wondering whether my gut feeling is correct that Herman jumping down could be unprecedented in some respects.
  4. Don't think it has been but it's behind a paywall.
  5. The fun and whole point of this thread is centered entirely on speculating about the (albeit very unlikely, some would say zero) possibility that Urban finds his way to UT. The thread would literally would not exist if everyone was, like you, informed and not ignorant and therefore believed there is without a doubt literally zero chance of it happening and not even entertaining to discuss. Maybe go start a "Urban is not coming here, you morons" thread and spend time in there listening to either crickets or your own curated echo chamber of intellectuals while lubing up your turd cutter. And since we're idiots but not hypocrites, you'll be totally justified giving grief to anyone that wanders in your thread to scream -- "It COULD happen and you're all dumbasses for only talking about how/why it's not going to" -- you know, because those people would kind of be defeating the purpose / running contrary to the purpose of your super fun thread. TL; DR: You've made your position known countless times. It's noted, no one cares and reiterating it every time you have a bowel movement with Tapa in hand contributes nothing to the discussion or purpose of the thread. And you don't know shit about what is going to actually happen here, none of us do. It's all speculation and the odds being in favor of your prediction don't change that.
  6. Damn, when you put it that way, it really delivers the message in a different and more compelling way than the last 100 posts in which you've expressed the same sentiment. Maybe if you rephrase the same thing on every new page of this thread it'll convert some of the others.
  7. In the unlikely event anyone is interested in where the rabbit hole has taken me on this very productive day, I have done some digging and am pretty confident I've figured out who ScottButter is. If correct, I can understand why the Cocks 247 mods are comfortable going so far as to post support/confirmation of him being legit and having connections.
  8. Adding to this theory, another scoop by ScottButter that turned out to hit was about Deebo Samuel, WR for the 49'ers and former Gamecock. Deebo is represented by Jimmy Sexton of Creative Artist Agency, who also happens to rep Coach Boom.
  9. In lieu of a check, Mr. Derpyhorndog kindly requests contributions be made to the brown-eye blasting fund at www.onlyfans.com/futureman. Thanks in advance.
  10. This was my thought when the insider ScottButter said Urban was a done deal. The only way a SC insider would know that would be for Herman to be in play there. Also he would have taken that job in 2015 had they not lost to the Citadel. Assuming for the sake of the argument that ScottButter and his sources are legit, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that his sources are in the sports agency world given that the initial scoop that make people think ScottButter is bonafide was calling Gronk to the Bucs. The fact that his intel spans both CFB and NFL make me think that, along with a bunch of ties to Miami. Drew Rosenhaus (Gronk's agent) went to the U for undergrad and his sports agency is based out of Miami. Trace Armstrong (Tom Herman's agent) is with Athletes First and his home base is their Gainesville, FL office (Armstrong is a Gator alumnus/former player). He represents Ryan Day - and as this thread has touched on, he represented Urban until they split ways in 2018 after the Zach Smith shit show. Based on some digging, Urban is represented in at least some facets by Sharron Elkabas of MN2S. Sharron founded MN2S and it's a more of a music/talent-focused agency than sports, which makes sense given what Urban does now. Funny enough, the U.S. HQ of MN2S (and it's sole U.S. office) is in Miami. Just thought that was interesting.
  11. First of all, recalibrate your shitastic sarcasm meter and look at my post history before calling me aggy. Not to mention the ovaries on the table joke takes some serial lurking to throw out, I'm shaggy OG and BA '13, JD '16 for what it's worth. Futureman will post my paystub in the a.m. #firehermanhireurban
  12. Since all you gents hold FCB's insight in high regard and loves when people put percentages on potential outcomes, he just put 50/50 odds on CUM to Texas in the situation where CTT doesn't bring home the B12 trophy. Ovaries on the table and such.
  13. Looking for two tickets together in one of the sideline sections - specifically, in one of Sections 3 --> 8 or 26 ---> 30. Hope is for $750 or less per ticket. Would prefer to buy from a surly member rather than a Craigslist rando or burn hundreds in service fees through a resaler. Can pay in cash or by Paypal. Located in Houston, so could meet personally here or arrange to pickup through friends or family in Austin or Dallas. Please let me know what you've got. Thanks for the time.
  14. Another fact is that one of Pappa Dunn's businesses (Urban Constructors), the one whose office is listed as the mailing address for the owner of the FWK facility, has in the past done work for Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M - Corpus Christie. That said, I firmly believe you heathens should all be ashamed of yourselves - give the Dunn's a brake! I am no way presenting this information to suggest that the family has preexisting business relationships with Texas A&M that could played a part in fueling any sort of shenanigans (not the cheeky and fun kind), but I'm sure you lowlifes will read into it what you want to suit your narrative.
  15. Longtime Surly recruiting board lurker, occasional Shaggy poster under the same handle (pre-scat), injector of aggy tears and ETX geography expert (specialize in Silsbee and surrounding region). Was enjoying following this Demas-Dunn-FWK discussion and decided to jump into the filth with you jackals to add a few more data points I came across, all of which came from public records or unabashed internet creeping. So, we've already established DUNNCO PROPERTIES II, LTD. is the owner of the FWK facility located at 10316 Lake Road. I'll call this entity "DPII." Now, just follow with me. The registered agent for DPII is Dunn Development Company, with offices at 10320 Lake Road. Per LinkedIn, the only two employees of Dunn Development Company (at least registered with/having accounts on LinkedIn) are Scott Dunn (its President) and Patrick Dunn. Online records show that Scott Dunn is also a director/board member of Urban Constructors, Inc. - a business located at 10318 Lake Road , Suite 103A (i.e., the exact address listed on the TX Comptroller website as the "Mailing Address" for DPII, the owner of the FWK facility, and the address itself is for a suite/building located in the same multi-business complex as FWK's facility). Other hits show that Patrick Dunn is a director of Dunn Development Company, as well as the President of, you guessed it, Urban Constructors. There is not any information that would allow anyone to verify it's actually him, but thought I would note that this A&M campus ministry annual report shows a "Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Dunn" made a charitable contribution to the ministry. And here's another showing a donation from a prior year. Caveats galore (mainly, seems like there's a good chance it's a somewhat common name), but nonetheless, a potential tie. Now, my last stop on the edge of the internet was here. Gonna be honest, I was feeling a bit ashamed about sourcing from an obituary, but then I remembered my audience here. Anyways, so, that page is the only one I could find that potentially links the actual family relationship of Hunter Dunn to the guys involved in the FWK facility investment - haven't seen anyone tie that out in previous posts. Namely, feel free to check for yourself/vet me here, I read it to show that the Scott Dunn mentioned above is Hunter Dunn's father. patrickstewartmildshock.gif. Also, guess who was a pallbearer? Patrick Dunn. Hope the board finds this interesting. And for any aggy that stumbles across this, just want to say, hey Looch and all you other sheep loving mouthbreathers. This was just for fun and boredom, but I'm sure you can all appreciate this post and thread overall given your proclivity for with hunts and BOMC theories. Oh yeah, and FCB and OU sucks, shoutout to South Austin's mom, stop being a bitch, satya, and pm derka with any questions.
