The Black Crowes Thread
yeah saw them last night in austin and had the same reaction. it was fun and chris still sounds really good and has great energy, but the band doesn't sound anywhere close to as good as they did in the past. my morning song was definitely the highlight for me.

Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Other Good Stuff
seems a little out of character for him to be shitting on other artists who are in the exact same position he was 10 years ago. comes off a little high and mighty, not a good look imo.

went to 4th tap and hop squad last weekend, both were not good but 4th tap was marginally better. oskar blues has made significant improvements to their outside space since the last time i was there, and their beer was far better than the other 2.- Great Live Albums
not even that big of a who fan but this is a great album...- RIP Dusty Hill
strangest zz top video i've ever seen...- RIP Dusty Hill
- Great Live Albums
that's because it's terrible. instant skip every time.- Concerts you are attending
Billy, Billy Strings.- Grateful Dead General Thread
there's an official album from that tour. deadheads routinely shit on it but i don't think it's bad.- Concerts you are attending
i got a refund in an effort to get ticketmaster to go out of business, clearly that was never going to happen. purchased them again today. can't imagine a worse venue to see them at but i'm reluctanly looking forward to this giant clusterfuck.- Port Aransas
got stuck on the island sunday night. had a late dinner at snoopys and was heading back to the mainland about 10pm only to find 358 closed before the bridge over oso bay due to a fatality accident. all traffic leaving the island was redirected down to yorkstown blvd. 2 hours later we were across oso bay.- the McCartney-Rick Rubin documentary trailer is out
watched the first episode. thought the editing was weird and it was kind of all over the place in terms of what they were talking about. there were some interesting tidbits in there but overall, not great. also, rick rubin is a very strange motherfucker.- Crosby, Stills, & Nash (and Young)
the stories about stills' coked our rampages on the 74 csny tour are great. dude was delusional, told stories to the audience about being in vietnam, despite the fact that he was never in vietnam.- Lynyrd Skynyrd
cover song, albeit a great cover. for me skynyrd didn't have enough range in their music to keep it interesting over the course of an album. however, they did have some great lyrics and all time great rock songs. i still consider them a tier below the great classic rock bands though.- New Music 2021
have been enjoying this album, mellow countryish ballads.- Crosby, Stills, & Nash (and Young)
deja vu is one of my favorite albums ever. picked up the first crosby solo album recently in the $1 bin and have been enjoying it quite a bit, such a stoned out vibe.- Madison Square Garden, 1987. Which Two Shows Do You See?
each of the 10+ times i saw tom petty i thought to myself that it might be the last chance i had to see him. unfortunately the may 2017 show at FEC was indeed the last time. never pass up those opportunities. david bowie is the one i regret not seeing the most, strongly considered seeing him at the backyard in 2004 but i was in college and $50 was a lot of money.- Madison Square Garden, 1987. Which Two Shows Do You See?
bowie and pink floyd. tom petty a close third.- Beer 2020?! F*ck that sh*t! Beer 2021!
pinthouse has gone from pouring imperial pints to a standard pint, at the burnet location at least. guess they aren't making enough money on $20 4 packs.- Falling Rock Closing
well that's terrible, was always on the list when in denver. first place i ever had a pliny.- Concerts you are attending
ended up making it out to this. surprisingly the venue was never even close to full...i think partially because they made it a 21+ show at the last minute. great show, just as good as the last time i saw them at antone's. played 3 very good covers, everybody knows this is nowhere, sweet virginia, and freebird as the encore. really good to get out and see some live music again.- Concerts you are attending
nude party is playing a free show tonight at mohawk. considering going but i also don't want to have to show up at 7:00 and stand in the heat for 4 hours before they take the stage. - microbreweries
