    Vinyl

Doc's records in ft worth is great. Huge, well-organized store that still has cheap used vinyl. Lots of places these days only stocking new stuff or putting the used records in unorganized boxes on the floor.
  2. Thought dickies was a great venue, as did everyone I talked to at the show. The things you dislike about the setlist...those are the exact things 90% of the audience LOVES about seeing PJ.
  3. It was only my 3rd. There were some massive sing alongs that were fun as hell, though not normally my favorites (alive, better man, jeremy). Even got a tom petty cover. I was certain rockin in the free world was the last song, then was pumped to hear those opening notes of yellow Ledbetter. Will be in the pit on Monday, can't wait.
  4. PJ setlist from last night looks great, no new shit. Curious how they sounded with that ratfuck klinghoffer on drums.
  5. 9/14 frankie and the witch fingers @ parish 9/15, 9/18, 9/19: pearl jam 9/23: night beats @ hotel vegas 9/29: qotsa and viagra boys in denver
  6. food was good but did not enjoy sitting 4 inches from the next table.
  7. interesting. same night as pearl jam and mcready sat in with them on this last tour.
  8. their margaritas are god awful but otherwise HPB&G is good food. my parents love it so i end up there about once a month.
  9. Amon Amarth and Ghost last night at COTA. Both bands were entertaining. I will never tire of seeing Ghost, they put on such a great show.
  10. RATM is one of those bands that's cool in high school when you don't know any better. still occasionally enjoy a song here and there but can't stomach a full album.
  11. in austin randalls has pork butt for $1/lb through the 5th with coupon.
  12. the one that comes to mind is tv on the radio opening for alt-j at red rocks, 2015ish. was not really that familiar with either band but walked away a fan of tv on the radio, not so much alt-j. tv on the radio had way more energy and seemed happy to be there.
  13. debating on getting tickets for ghost funk orchestra, let me know how they are. love their albums.
  14. Soulhat was a lot better last night than the gig they played 6 months ago. The drummer, Conrad, was a huge improvement. Also guessing they got some more rehearsals in. They played 2 hours straight with a lot of loose jamming. Lots of people there reliving the glory days. Good times.

    High

i've had this happen once but it was after a long hike on a day that i was probably dehydrated and hadn't eaten much, so i chalked it up to that. i find that body chemistry has a huge impact on edibles...i can eat the same 10mg edible on different days and feel nothing one day and be high as a kite the next.

    karma for selling $10 tacos
  17. i thought we all agreed that celis is disgusting
  18. justin meldal johnson. i know he was the nin bassist for a few tours.
  19. Phoenix had a good light show but their music is nails on a chalkboard for me. That woo ha singing hallelujah song is a crime against humanity. Like them even less after seeing them live. Beck was excellent and had great energy. Good mix of songs from all of his albums and his band was top notch. Loved that he played straight through, no encore. Felt like he was slipping for a couple years but last night was as good as I've seen him.
