Let's just throw all the qualifiers in her for today because I was looking at the board and DAMN there's some interesting things going on.
Asia - Their automatic teams are in (8) there is the final match for the Intercontinental playoff today - Iraq vs UAE (1-1 after the first leg)
UEFA - they have their final matchday of auto qualifiers today. A few groups have head to head deciding matches where the winner is in and the loser is in their playoff. The team in italics is the one which advances with a draw:
Group B - Kosovo v Switzerland (Kosovo would need to erase +11 GD in the game)
Group C - Scotland v Denmark
Group E - Spain v Turkiye (Turkiye would need to erase +14 GD in the game)
Group H - Austria v Bosnia and Herzegovina
Group J is also in play Belgium v Liechtenstein and Wales v North Macedonia - Belgium is in with a win or likely draw. If they lose, an outright winner in Wales-N. Macedonia can get the spot
CONCACAF - I haven't paid attention to qualifying because the US is already in, but when I pulled it up the groups are topped with names that shock me:
Group A - Suriname (9 pts, +5 GD) and Panama (9, +2) top the group, today's matches Guatemala v Suriname and Panama v El Salvador
Group B - Curacao (11) and Jamaica (10) play head to head in Jamaica tonight
Group C - Honduras (8, +3), Haiti (8,+1) and Costa Rica (6, +2) are all in the mix. Tonight Costa Rica v Honduras and Haiti v Nicaragua
Second placed teams are ranked and top 2 of 3 go to the intercontinental playoff.
I am rooting for Suriname, Curacao and Haiti for 2 reasons: 1- if they make it in, much cooler. 2- the teams that would fall to the intercontinental playoff would be much more likely to make the playoff than those 3 teams that would likely get the floor mopped with them.
