  1. Hey!! I get that reference!!
  2. It’s Called Soccer rightly slagging him for this act
  3. What is a wheelie bin?
  4. I bet he’s a full kit wanker.
  5. I was on travel last week and I only now catching up with this thread. I found this article and read it. OMG. This woman fucking kills me. Reading that made me rage like crazy because knowing you have all of this governmental assistance you voted for Trump?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! What's even funnier is looking her up (they put her job and title at the end) https://eppc.org/author/rachel_aldhizer/ So then i looked up the Life and Family Initiative at the Ethics and Public Policy Center - it's an anti-abortion lobby. https://eppc.org/program/life-and-family-initiative/ All because he has a damn R next to his name. Man that message ... just wow. Harris isn't mean enough? The Roe vs Wade stuff? UGH. Smithsonian? Yeah the answer is no. Tariffs?!?!!? Tell you what, we meet IRL - 2 rounds of beer is on me.
  6. I will say there is a big difference in the sports/leagues. There is only 1 thing to be won in MLB - the World Series. I mean the Tigers did win two AL pennants in 2006 and 2012, but lost the WS both times. Same with the NFL and NHL. EPL teams play for up to 4 cups a year - EPL, FA Cup, EFL Cup and for those that make it, European Cups (5 if you count the Club World Cup). This is one reason why top teams are knocked for not winning hardware, because there are a lot of chances, especially domestically. You look at the Domestic Cups since 2010, it's a who's who of the EPL elite and some one offs, but not Spurs. The numbers are striking too since outside of Spurs no team in the Big 6 has less than 4 Domestic cups. Yeah, Arsenal is the butt of the jokes because when you look at the Big 6 they are the last one to get a trophy. Fuck even Man U has 2 since the COVID Cup. Your boys get a trophy, you are going to talk it up and the cycle will continue. Just suck it up buttercup and wait your turn.
  7. You get a hook'em for the 2nd part. But that first part is just wrong. There is no way that Tomorrow Never Dies is in the top 3 Bond films since 1990 (there have been 9). Skyfall, Casino Royal and No Time to Die. It might not be in the top 6 and its not the best Brosnan Bond film.
  8. It's been clear the last few days that Rodrygo wasn't going to move from Madrid, so that pretty much ended our chances with Savinho. Sucks but truth.
  9. I guess this is ok. Not a major needle mover for me. He's OK, but getting long in the tooth IMHO
  10. To be fair the guy has won the COVID FA Cup. But if Arsenal wins a cup and no one is there to see it ...
  11. I gotta admit, if there is anyone I don't want writing bad articles about me it's Drew Magary (of Defector and the SF Gate) https://www.sfgate.com/streaming/article/alien-earth-elon-musk-sucks-20888757.php Hollywood’s new favorite villain is THE billionaire CEO Emphasis is mine, it's not a generic billionaire CEO, it's a particular one (the one you are probably thinking about now) Funny read and review of Alien Earth too.
  12. I know I know. It should be 5 not 4, I was only sent it, I’m not gonna edit it.
  13. Who are these people and why should I care? /ducks
  14. I agree they stay up, because they have smart owners. But I think the 4 in a row promotions might be a bit much now.
  15. Carabao Cup dates: Prelim round - 4 Aug - lowest 4 ranked League Two teams First round - 11 Aug - Remaining league two, all of League One, all of the Championship + 2 prior winners (70 total) Second Round - 25 Aug - 11 EPL teams not in Europe + 35 prior winners Third Round - 15/22 Sept - 9 remaining EPL teams + 23 prior winners Fourth Round - 27 Oct - 16 prior winners QFs - 15 Dec SFs - 12 Jan/2 Feb Final - 22 March With the EPL teams entering, there is some interest now - 4 have already been knocked out - Leeds, Bournemouth, West Ham and Sunderland The FA Cup is just entering the very early phases. There won't be "real" teams until November ("First" round) when League One and Two join. The EPL and Championship join in the third round (Jan).
  16. With only a few minutes of stoppage, that just might do it today. Win or lose today - it's pretty clear that Wrexham should have a single goal for this season - simply not getting relegated. They are a step down from the top teams, holding onto the Championship would be a good season.
  17. News broke a few hours back, sorry to be late on reporting Hopefully he will handle negotiations too.
  18. I mean the game is on Broadcast, right? I would add, I usually watch sports on OTA because it doesn't have the buffering or delays of streaming or cable.
