One last thing - between the final whistle and the PKs, the studio crew was discussing this vs last year's team and how Spurs couldn't close out games and they were asking if this gave some vindication to Postecoglou.
To me - NO.
Spurs couldn't close out last year because they were run ragged by a lack of a cohesive plan and fell apart often at the end of games due to that lack of planning. One big problem was that they didn't defend well for most games.
Today we saw a very disciplined team against maybe the best team in the world. For 80 minutes the team had a clear shape, structure and mindset. PSG came alive late and turned up the pressure when the team was tired - but they were stymied up to that point.
IMHO if this team was Postecoglou coached, they don't have that early lead and maybe are trailing early. The clear gameplan by Frank had this team ready for this game and set up to take advantage early.
Again, the moral victory blows, but this showed that Spurs have a plan that didn't exist before.
