  1. Just finished this:

    image.png.cbf47cdfdd3066a1e3cb7f81112caf47.png

A minute-by-minute account of a potential North Korean nuclear strike on the U.S., the subsequent response, and the aftermath. Pretty chilling to think about how quickly the world as we know it could end. This quote from Nikita Khrushchev stood out: "the living will envy the dead."

Seems to be well researched and entirely plausible.

I happened to get on instagram about an hour ago, and John Moreland was live streaming. He played a new song from his new album; the album dropped during his live stream.

The song he played was the title track, visitor, on the new album.

I downloaded the album, and it’s damn good.

Been listening to this the last couple of days. Damn good. I'm enjoying much more than East October.

Man, it’s looking like pretty much every move Brown made this off-season besides Caratini has blown up.*

*Hader I’m fully crediting to Crane.

Every move since winning the World Series including firing Click.

Just finished the last of Don Winslow's 3 novel set about Danny Ryan.  "City in Ruins" closes out the story and is Winslow's final book.  All his stuff is great, but this series was excellent.

he's a damn good writer. highly recommend the Danny Ryan books, highly recommend the cartel/power of the dog series and highly recommend The Force (which was optioned to be a movie and still hasn't happened yet)

Just started The Power of the Dog based on these recommendations. Very good so far.

If there’s one person OJ would protect, it’s his kid.

And, if there were two people he would have murdered, it was his ex-wife and a waiter.

I'll be your rhyming attorney. You'll never be strapped to the gurney.

Sounds great. Just so you know, I may have left my lucky stabbin' hat at the scene.
