  1. Everyone camps different and has a different "perfect" setup, that's why there are so many different types/models. We traded in our TT last fall for a fifth wheel. I've got three girls and we just needed more room. Having the separate tow vehicle is big to us for the way we camp, we like to use our trailer as much as possible instead of hotel rooms when we travel for the kids' dance and whatnot plus having the pickup there to haul the honeypot to the dump station, or kayaks to the lake, or just to go out to eat is a necessity for us. In (hopefully) ten years or so we will be down to one kid at home and won't need the fifth wheel anymore. I'm dreaming of a super C toy hauler when that time comes.
  2. They at least had the sense to turn it down....
  3. I really thought K-Swiss was going to take off after they got a new MFCEO...
  4. You might also consider a park model since you don't plan on moving it much.
  5. Packing up this morning to leave Twin Fountains RV Park in OKC. We spent the weekend here for my kids' dance competition yesterday. Nice place to stay if you're passing through OKC. They're close to the zoo/omniplex/racetrack and will give you a free ride in their 'limo.'
  6. Oh, I wasn't familiar with Bolivar (I was thinking lakefront). I don't have much to add except maybe just don't be afraid of a little reno, these things aren't hard to work on. I would be scared of water damage though.
  7. Seems to me surly has been more interested in Patrick Swayze...
  8. Why a travel trailer if you're just going to leave it there? Why not something more permanent like a used mobile home? You'd have more room inside and could still have it hauled off later if you wanted. Plus its still a sellers market right now on rv's...
  9. He probably ordered it from Billy Simms Boomer-Q...
  10. Uh, I thought the Alston case was all about what the schools can pay players? I mean when I read articles about it that's what they say. Maybe that's where people get the idea? https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/31172473/supreme-court-questions-validity-amateurism-ncaa-business-model
  11. I call it the daily break.
  12. He was probably edging before he went in... I read a post on Reddit a few years ago by a chick that worked in a waxing salon, she said a dude did this twice in their shop. First time they wrote it off but the second time he did they called the cops. She said he would work himself by hand in the parking lot until he was about to O then stop. Then would go inside and when they went to put wax on he would blow all over. I seem to remember from the responses that it wasn't all that uncommon.
  13. Spending the weekend at Keystone State Park
  14. Here's a boring video about tow ratings with a handy spreadsheet: https://www.keepyourdaydream.com/payload/. At 12:36 in that video he explains some of the consequences of being overweight. Here's a link to Chevrolet VIN decoder that will pull up your specific numbers https://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php?vin
  15. All of this reminds me of that story on the TOS about Chad Briscoe's friend trying to get his bird rubbed at that party. Which led to Chad not being able to sell Scentsy anymore...
  16. Check your speed rating on your tires, check your hub temps when you make stops and you (probably 😃) will be just fine.
  17. I remember it was said he did something at KState that was keeping keep him from being considered for HC jobs when he was at OU... I looked around sometime later and found an old message board thread about him fooling around with the prominent booster's daughter and the family was pretty pissed and got him fired. Hard to imagine that would keep him from a HC job at most other schools though if he's good at coaching. Unless he forced himself on the girl... Here's the old thread on Venables: https://247sports.com/college/kansas/Board/103723/Contents/Brent-Venables-124736467/
  18. There's rumors out there that this is why Brent Venables isn't welcome back at K-State.
  19. Yep.
  20. If it's just bikes, there are some bike racks out there bolt onto the trailer tongue... Yeah it adds some pounds to your hitch weight but if it's a pop up I wouldn't imagine the hitch weight is a whole lot to begin with.
  21. My Sabre came with Ridgeways but I haven't had enough time yet to have an opinion on them. They seem ok so far. I used to read the RV forums in Reddit and a few others and I know a lot of people in the RV world stay away from Goodyear alltogether because they say Goodyear covered up a flaw: https://jalopnik.com/goodyear-knew-of-dangerous-rv-tire-failures-for-over-20-1824997252
  22. First trip of the year!
  23. Uh, his name is Leslie...
  24. Not seeing anything about lawsuits yet? But yeah articles I've read says Jones hired a lawyer and is playing the victim...
