I had Geico for my vehicles and RV. Their coverage was really good, lots of extras for RV's like vacation coverage or whatever they called it, they would cover a hotel room if something happened on a trip and other things special for RV's... They started to screw with me though on my motorcycle coverage and raised my auto rates so I switched to Farmers, which isn't as great but is sufficient...
I've always just bundled it with my car insurance.

I'll give State Farm a shot as they do my auto, but I'm paying more to insure an empty cargo van than Roamly quoted me for full coverage on a fully built van, with agreed value for the build.

I think it's more about risk to the insurance company, I would think cargo vans are going to have a higher premium because they are usually filled with tools or materials that are easy to steal and sell and not boring RV's. Yeah that RV might be more expensive to replace but they probably get a lot more claims on cargo vans 🤷‍♂️

Who does everyone use for RV insurance?  I've currently got it insured as a cargo van but will switch to RV insurance when the build is done.  Already got a quote with Roamly, but want to shop it around.  I will have a bed, a toilet and a shower, which at least satisfies Roamly's RV requirements.

  3. I'm not real up to speed on transfer portal rules but isn't there still a 25 scholarship per year limit? Or is that all different now? Skeletor can't possibly bring in 50 new scholarship players in one offseason, can he?

Or do they just bring in all walk-ons and let NIL pay their way?

One thing not in this discussion is the fact that “light trucks (including SUVs) get different CAFE standards.

If I could buy a truck the size of my 1998 Dakota or my dad’s 1996 S-10, I would. Rangers and Colorados are now the size of an F-150 from that era. And they are dangerous to pedestrians and barely can be parked without the sensors and cameras.

I live overseas and we’re a one car family, so I tell myself the Honda Pilot with third row was needed, especially since we get lots of guests and take road trips where we use it. In truth— I miss my old car— a VW Passat Wagon. Better handling, easier to drive, more fun to driver, better mileage and the cargo bay easily fits wherever I could in the Pilot. More, when I use the third row.

I have no idea why wagons died the death they did in America as they are an objectively better solution than virtually all SUVs, even if you drive them to the trailhead. Virtually anything most people carry in a truck, you could fit inside and then lock the doors so your shit isn’t stolen.

For that matter, minivans are better although my parents’ Odessey back stateside is no smaller than the Pilot. The one thing that is worse about a wagon— in the U.S. it’s the feeling of SUVs and trucks looming over you.

The comment above about men in sedans who can’t do anything cracks me up. Even in Texas, a sedan or wagon was the car of choice for your granddad or great granddad unless he was a farmer or rancher and those guys did a hell of a lot more than any of us do, including fix said sedan themselves.

Ford Mavericks are out now, here anyway don't know about overseas.

I'd rather have an F150 but drive the 3500 because my camper weighs ~13,000 pounds loaded up. I live in a rural area where most families have a pickup because most families either farm or have a need to haul or tow something at least occasionally. I'm sure there is a good number here too that just drive a pickup just because. But I don't deal with traffic or tight parking lots often like most here.

Our dad's and grandads were a different generation for sure.

Maybe that man isn't trying to overcompensate for other shortcomings?

Maybe? I guess he probably drives just what fits his needs. I dunno. Maybe dudes that drive pretty trucks or fancy sports cars (or anything not utilitarian) all have small dicks or maybe they just enjoy them?

  6. When I see a man that drives a sedan I think of him as a person that doesn't or can't do things for himself. When I see a man driving a truck I think of him as a person who is at least capable of some self reliance. I know its wrong to be stereotypical but that's just my perception. Like my brother in law. Dude doesn't even mow his own lawn and I seriously doubt is able to change his own oil.

But I'm not from a big city and don't have navigate the same areas or deal with the same issues as some of you.

I'll be the pariah here.  For now, my everyday driver is a Ford F350.  16 mpg.  I own a construction company, so it gets more than its fair share of use.  I have driven it daily because I often can't plan ahead when I need to hook up to my gooseneck or dump trailer or grab a pallet of materials.  I'd guess there's something heavy in the bed or behind the bumper at least 3-4 times per week.

The fuel mileage sucks.  Parking sucks.  Heck, I catch an Uber when I'm going anywhere near downtown.

That being said, my business is changing, and I'm spending less and less time in the field and more time in the office as we've grown.  I plan on keeping this truck for a pretty good while, but will likely replace it with an F150 as my daily driver within the next year or so.  I've never not owned a truck.  I don't see that changing.

    2015 Chevy 3500 with the gas engine... I wish I got 16 mpg 😔

No reason for tcu to hire this briles scumbag

"The names that circulated were familiar. Dykes is an Air-Raid coach, after all, a descendent of Hal Mumme and Mike Leach. Possible replacements for Riley figured to be Graham Harrell or Seth Littrell or Jake Spavital or Jeff Lebby. But one name stuck out like a sore thumb – Kendal Briles. And now, the fan base is at odds with each other over the possibility of adding a Briles to the staff, at least on social media. Sources tell DCTF that Briles is the leading candidate for the gig."

How does Lebby get a pass? He was right there in the middle of it too. On top of that he was the one caught trying to cheat by being on the Tulsa sidelines against OU in 2015, invited by their old friend Phil Montgomery

I obviously wasnt clear in my post.  I actually understand the purpose of bail is designed to ensure the arrested have a reason to make an appearance in court at the proper time.  In my opinion, only putting up $5k gives the fuck a much better chance of making a run for it.

I wasnt pissed at a $50k bail anywhere near as much as it being allowed to have a bond vs actual allocated funds.  I honestly believe it should have been set at $500k to ensure whoever posted the bond has a strong financial incentive to make damn sure the asshole shows up to court everytday.

I realize that $5k is probably a shitload of money to a 21YO, and probably their family... but thats just low enough that a family could bail him out, help him just enough where he can make a run out of state/ border and try and get away.   This guy lived in Mexico for 12 years before being caught as an example

You went from $50k bond in the OP, then to $50K bail in this post and then to $5K bond?

The Athletic --> "Texas A&M had national title hopes, a $94.9 million coach and a No. 1 recruiting class. What went wrong?"

    Jimbo hates tempo offenses:

'When that time finally arrived Oct. 29 vs. Ole Miss, Weigman dazzled, leading consecutive touchdown drives to open the game.

But A&M went scoreless in the second and third quarters before Weigman triggered a 14-point rally in the fourth. The common denominator in those scoring spurts? The Aggies pushed the offensive tempo, something Weigman did a lot of at Bridgeland High.

Weigman succeeded in hurry-up looks in A&M’s season-ending win over LSU also, raising questions as to why the Aggies didn’t do it more often.

    Fisher bristled at the suggestion.

“We’re so caught up in tempo,” he said. “Name me a tempo team that’s won the national championship. … There ain’t one. Tempo ain’t won a national championship, all right?

“So teams line up and play good football. You can run tempo and you can have parts of it and use tempo off and on. But pure tempo teams haven’t won one.”'

Jimbo seems to have forgotten 2013:

"Coach Fisher says it all the time, he wants to play fast," FSU left tackle Cameron Erving said. "He wants to get a lot of snaps a game on offense. As an o-line, we try to make it happen.

"We want to get a lot of snaps on offense and keep our defense off the field as much as possible. But at the same time, we're not Oregon. … We do something, they do something different. But that's definitely in the right area. We want to be up there on the same level, at a certain speed as those teams."
