  1. Jesus fucking Christ. Whittington and Worthy were largely developed by Marrion. Are you really this dense? I didn't think I needed to call out every little caveat here. Making plays now and again does not equate to consistent development. Moore largely made plays against inferior talent. Wingo last year was good for 1 play a game and then disappeared
  2. Those receivers were all transfers. That's part of my point. The receivers we recruit aren't being developed. I would also argue the development curve at receiver is much less steep than a position like OL. It shouldn't take 2-3 years to see results
  3. Has there been any conversation about WR development since hiring Chris Jackson? I've said a couple of times that our route running looks lazy. I haven't seen much development from our non-transfer receivers.

There is a troll post gaining steam that Billy got an extension. What did happen is Stricklin got his extension which means he’s probably clear to fire him if the continue to perform the way they are
  5. A guy like Worthy is also around 170lbs, so it's certainly possible with the right development and scheme. I suppose someone will be stupid enough to pay that much money for him despite his market value being a bit more questionable. I'm sure there are numerous examples of egos for those involved (player/agent/parent) that won't swallow a smaller offer with a better promise of development.
  6. What's interesting to me is that all the commentary on Ryan Williams is that he hasn't improved. Lazy route running, bad pad height, etc. AJ McCarron went off on him the other day. People are saying he doesn't look any bigger or faster this year either. I guess that goes to the comments up thread about the lack of S&C work. Someone like Williams is likely to be fielding offers from other schools constantly. At what point does he start taking those seriously?
  7. I don't know why you're getting negged here. That was clearly the game plan from both teams. You're willing to accept a penalty here and there and gamble that they won't keep calling it.
  8. Derka i'm not attacking you here, so please don't take it that way. This take from Ryan Clark about the generational talent is pretty fucking stupid though. Recruiting services and every school in the country all agreed that he was the best QB in his class. He had a 1.000 rating for fucks sake. His arm talent is on the same tier as Lawrence, Andrew Luck, etc. Anyone who saw him play all agreed. What we're just going to fucking act like that didn't happen? How is there any evidence that he isn't a generational player? There is absolutely zero evidence that Bryce Underwood is a generational talent. The Michigan QB room was a dumpster fire. You don't pay someone that much to sit the bench. The family said from the beginning that he was going to sit and take his time - there was no rush. If there is a problem with Arch I think it was that his family allowed him just to sit back and learn rather than push him to take the job from Quinn. This response is just as reactionary and stupid as those who hyped him to the moon. The kid sucked ass last weekend and deserves his lumps but he also deserves the benefit of time as the starter and time to learn. You can count on 1 hand the number of QBs in college who make that throw down the sideline in the 4th quarter. Ryan Clark can miss me with this bullshit.
  9. This is the shittiest rage bait attempt I've seen in a long time
  10. Wingo’s route on the interception was awful. Arch threw a poorly times meatball but still. He did arch no favors. Has there been any conversation so far on the new-ish wr coach and his development skills?
  11. lol are you purposely forgetting about the Tyrone Swoopes experience?
  12. Arch hasn’t been great but god, the coaching staff absolutely shit the bed on this offensive game plan. Struggling qb? Let’s make sure all of the passing plays take 10 seconds to develop. Quick easy passes? Fuck that. TE passes? Fuck that. Oh outside zone averaging 6 yards a play? Let’s run it up the middle for no gain.
  13. I have a friend that worked the front desk of a nice hotel in Orlando back when he was in college. McShay was a semi-regular guest at said hotel and would routinely bring in known (to the staff) hookers back to his room.

The exact words that came out of Aiden Warner's mouth to me before their spring game was that Lagway had an arthoscopic procedure done on his shoulder before spring ball started. What I was told at the time was that he would likely need surgery. That didn't happen. Lagway is made of glass so I expect that he will reinjure it at some point and Aiden will get the starting job again.

  17. might be going out on a limb here but, am I the only one here who looks at this image and sees "NGGA" from the logos?
  18. Just saw this today https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/president-donald-trump-to-sign-executive-order-establishing-national-nil-standards-amid-evolving-legislation/ once again, I'm not sure how any of this holds up in court
  19. I'm a little surprised it wasn't a requirement to sign on to a revenue-sharing deal as a part of the House settlement.
  20. Saban being a whiny bitch aside, I just have a hard time believing anything they propose holds up in court.
  21. I try not to clown on people because we all say some dumb shit sometimes but if you even spent 30 seconds googling "Lagway surgery" you would see a bunch of articles from the last week and a half talking about him exploring surgery so he can be ready in time for the season.
  22. I mean I have no idea what the surgery was. I have no idea when the surgery was (he was dressed out and handed the ball off several times in their spring game). It could have been an outpatient exploratory surgery to assess the extent of the damage. I would say it's also possible she confused "had surgery" with "going to have surgery". I'm not claiming to be an insider or anything lol. Outside of that single interaction, I don't know shit about Gator football. She made it seem like it was a big deal when she spoke it out loud. It seemed relevant based on the first post I responded to.
  23. no one was supposed to know it happened. My extended family are all Gator fans and we were at their spring game this year. The backup QBs girlfriend was in the box with us during the game and let it slip. She realized she fucked up and asked us not to say anything but fuck that. I don't think Lagway is going to survive long this season and while the backup is a great kid off the field, it's going to be a long season for that team if he has any meaningful playing time.
  24. I don't think it's been talked about by anyone but he got surgery recently. To keep up the charade he played 5-6 snaps in the spring game and every one was a hand off edit: looks like they're soft launching the surgery idea even though it's already happened: https://www.essentiallysports.com/ncaa-college-football-news-dj-lagways-injury-saga-takes-new-turn-as-potential-surgery-confirmed-adding-to-billy-napiers-florida-woes/
