  1. I see that now. Wow. This is the kind of snub that should get them delegitimized - or whatever the word you'd use for it is - as a major CFB award. This is just a really, REALLY awful decision on their part and it's based on a "rivalry" where their shitty school has lost more than 71% of the games. The folks in charge of the Burlsworth "award" should be fucking ashamed
  2. I'm not sure if this is the thread for this but there really isn't one so here goes: how the fuck has Michael Taaffe never won the Burlsworth Trophy (for outstanding former walk-on player). It's named after a player who went from walk-on to All American, something Taaffe LITERALLY DID. And yet, the 2024 winner was Bryce Boettcher from Oregon and the 2025 winner was the Mestemaker kid from UNT. They're both solid players, don't get me wrong, but more deserving of the "best walk-on award" than Taaffe?
  3. This is our concern, dude. If this article is true (and I'm skeptical), then there's virtually no way he doesn't get at least a mid first round grade, right? A 4.6 to 4.7 forty time at that size is alien shit. Still, though, he's definitely a freakish athlete but I'm having a hard time believe those numbers https://www.si.com/college/texas/football/texas-longhorns-trevor-goosby-reaches-freak-speeds-summer-workouts
  4. Between this shit and running his mouth last year, Zuhn is pretty goddamn dumb even for an aggy football, player and is probably going to need to continue to get his dick knocked in the dirt a few (more) times before learning to STFU. If he ever does
  5. I watched way less football than I normally would have this weekend - and I LOVE conference championship weekend and CFB generally. But the talking heads' deliberate refusal to talk about us and discuss even a ghost of a case for our inclusion was absolutely fucking rage inducing. Basically every time I turned a game on, I just wound up getting pissed off (although it was nice to see Bama get mushroom slapped and Duke win an ACC title In any case... FUCKING MIAMI???? The CFP committee is not a serious entity
  6. Agreed. I would think Hill, Mohammad, Campbell, and maybe Guilbeau (although I'm not sure I would do that if I was him) would think about it. Maybe McDonald and Burke, too? Taaffe will play because he's Taaffe. In any case, I don't expect to be able to take a whole hell of a lot away from this bowl game. Hopefully, some of the young guys show out
  7. Remember the huge hubbub this summer about how scheduling quality opponents and having a good strength of schedule was important to making the playoffs and that losses in those big OOC games wouldn't really hurt too much?
  8. buda91 has to be SO disappointed by all the responses that, although are still very much through maroon tinted glasses, were like "eh, they were fine." He clearly wants us to be tOSU fans so bad he can't stand it
  9. He went there for one reason and one reason only: Mack Brown evaluated him poorly and did not offer. I remember, way back when, seeing Miller's social media. It was ALL Texas stuff and he even made a post about how meeting Mack on campus was the greatest moment of his life at the time. Unfortunately, whatever happened at that meeting, it was not enough for Mack to offer. But, based on what I saw at the time, it seemed very clear to me that he'd have been a Longhorn if we'd offered. We did not and the rest is history
  10. Exactly. The main effect of leaving us out, despite clearly looking like a top 10 for the second half of the season, is that no one is going to schedule those tough OOC matchups early on which is going to hurt the sport as a whole
  11. Just a friendly reminder that Notre Dame, Miami, Tech, BYU, and Utah would all be VERY lucky to be 8-4 with Texas' schedule this season. I was looking over their schedules and they're pretty much just trash from top to bottom Nice to see that the committee is taking the newfound attention to strength of schedule they announced before the season started seriously.
  12. I just wanted to pop in a say that the media is not devoting NEARLY enough attention to just how spectacularly shitty Notre Dame's schedule was
  13. Kudos to Auburn for refusing to surrender no matter how many backbreaking mistakes they made or how doomed their situation was. But yeah, they're BAD and this should be every bit as embarrassing for Bama as UK was for us
  14. I totally agree. Unfortunately, we just happened to schedule 2 of them
  15. I guess I'm finally going to have to accept that depending on 3 of the worst teams I've seen this year - LSU, Auburn, and VA Tech - to win is not a good spot to be in.
  16. Is it possible for taking the points to simultaneously be the right decision and also waving the white flag?
  17. No, unfortunately, they really, really don't. They're even more hopeless than LSU.
  18. You're right, we do have those things - but we don't have anyone who can do those things that's 6'5". I believe he was also kind of new to FB out of HS and I kind of question the level of coaching he's been getting. But you're probably right - I'm guessing he'd be prohibitively expensive even if we were interested edit: and I agree. If we go after anyone, it should be Coleman
  19. Love love love the dipshit who defended the Jake Ehlinger sign last year calling anyone else "classless." Get fucked aggy. You were put in your place and the playoffs are not going to go how you think. Good luck with Oregon, Ole Miss, or Bama in the first round, bitches
  20. I LOVE listening to those mouthbreathers bitch about the mAnUfAcTuReD gameday experience. Super sorry there were no milk men telling the crowd how to act, the biggest goobers in the world weren't grabbing and squeezing their genitals, and we have real cheerleaders. Also, many props to the people reciting all the very true and accurate stories of super mean old tu fans that definitely happened. I absolutely believe every word y'all are saying
  21. LSU is so fucking hopeless I know this was (sort of) a joke but...
  22. This is my hope as well. The draw of Texas ratings plus a Manning has to be hard to turn down for the networks
