  1. Totally agree but with one small alteration. I know I'm only one of the 82,258 lawyers on this board who post dumb shit instead of, you know, actually working - but I do feel pretty safe in prognosticating on this
  2. Just... wow. Imagine thinking of that and being like, "yes, this is a really cool idea. We should totally do it to show everyone how awesome and totally not weird we are."
  3. I just can't justify getting it to myself. I've played 4 games for even a moderate amount in the last few years: NCAA, Elden Ring, Lies of P, and Bloodborne (yes, still - I love that game with my whole heart and will probably keep coming back to it until the day I die). One of these is very much not like the others and, although I enjoyed NCAA 25, the nostalgia of having one updated version is enough for me. Plus, I just haven't had time for any video games lately. Maybe eventually if the early reviews are earth shattering or something.
  4. For the folks wondering if he's an interior lineman: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20147061/6508744ba676570578c06675 Full disclaimer: I'm not a scout, highlight feels ultimately don't really tell you a damn thing, and I don't know shit about fuck. However... his movement looks super polished and athletic. He seems more fluid than some TEs I've seen us recruit (cue the size complaints). Speaking of, from the highlights, the size criticism certainly looks overblown. Sure, he could get bigger - but most HS OTs can - and he's still heavier than Sam Cosmi and Connor Williams were. Plus, even if his weight is not ideal, strength certainly doesn't seem to be an issue. tl;dr: WATCH. THE. TAPE. We got the better player today
  5. Oof. The reps against KJ Ford and Jake Kreul were brutal. I know it's only a handful of highlights of one day of drills - but I think maybe the top tackle overall shouldn't get reverse pancaked by a guy half his size in absolutely humiliating fashion like that Edit: I also agree with the Sooner narrating that video - his body language absolutely sucked in the very limited clips we saw there
  6. Bobby: "Ojo's gonna be ranked outside the top 100 in a week or two."
  7. Seems like pretty good advertising for both the agent and Tech. But, yes, totally agree that we dodged a huge bullet here based on what he was telling the coaching staff
  8. That's a lot of money to spend on a prospect who's far from a sure thing just to be able to say, "see? we can recruit with Texas." I don't blame Ojo a bit for taking the money - and I also don't blame our staff one iota for deciding to pass on that potential albatross of a deal
  9. If it's true that he was telling Sark, as recently as last night, that Texas still led, I can't imagine he'll get anything less than the full Evan Stewart treatment
  10. Best of luck to this young man in his development - he's going to need it. Especially when there's intense pressure to play him early
  11. I think there's some symbolism for Tech here. They get to say, "see all the interviews where Ojo said Texas told him he was their number one target? Well: 1) we beat him for this guy; 2) we can outbid them for whoever; and we're just as good as they are." Spoiler: 1) we bowed out because they made a stupid offer for a developmental prospect (admittedly one with an extremely high ceiling); 2) they can't; and 3) they are not now, never have been, and never will be as good as us at pretty much anything except maybe tumbleweeds and STDs per capita. I will take all of this back if Ojo commits to UT tomorrow. In that case, he's clearly the second coming of Anthony Munoz, Orlando Pace, and Tony Boselli all rolled into one.
  12. Well, saw how they bought championships with Nija Canady, sooo... good luck to Ojo and Tech, I guess. Have fun developing by playing against the nation's best in... the Big XII Edit: I'm also happy to see very few people actually freaking out about this - you really shouldn't. I understand the Ojo thing was kind of expected but still. I expected more people to lose their shit. Does anyone out there really, genuinely think we have a lower budget, House settlement and NIL, than Michigan, tOSU, TAMU, and freaking Tech? We just got a kid that Oregon considered a "must have." I really think that, due to NIL and House shit, there will be more flips than ever this recruiting season as players are re-assessed during additional evals and senior seasons and offers are "amended." I also think that we're keeping a significant portion of our powder dry for guys we feel that we cannot afford to lose. Ojo, who has now received about 18 comparisons to Javonne Shepherd, clearly does not fit in that category. Go get that bag, young man - I don't blame you one bit. Maybe we circle back for Lamar Brown, Xavier Griffin, and/or Jalen Lott (though I doubt it for all of them except maybe Griffin, tbh). Remember when Tech tried to outbid us for Quinn Ewers and we dragged our sweaty, unwashed balls over their face? But there will be flips and huge momentum shifts. Big ones. Just ask Jonah Williams, Justus Terry, Kade Phillips, and Josiah Sharma. And some guy named Xavier Worthy
  13. I was kind of thinking the same thing as you and several others on this issue. I wonder if Tech is also promising him lots of early playing time. That would be an... interesting decision
  14. I'd imagine Elko or whoever asked him to do that so they can declare yet another big head-to-head "win" over us
  15. I had something incredibly prescient, impactful, and possibly even program changing to say about the state of Texas football and recruiting. Then, the series finale of Six Feet Under started playing on Netflix and now I'm a wreck who can't remember any of my astoundingly profound, likely universe-shifting prior thoughts Anyway, since we're already bitching about thread derailments in early July of the recruiting season when very, very little permanently impactful things are happening (at least if we're to believe, as I do, that the program is going to turn up the heat in a big way in a couple of months and leaving some bitch ass, crooked af programs wondering "WTF just happened?"), let me say only this: poor Keith deserved better
  16. Similarly, I remember a lot of UMGoBlog posts (and from the UM blog community as a whole) about how they were also better than us at every position and would win every single matchup ("DONOVAN EDWARDS WILL RUN FOR 300 YARDS because Texas has no one who can keep up with him - just like Reggie Bush did once. Texas will rush for -0.75 ypa because Graham and Grant. Kenneth Johnson will pick off every pass that Quinn Ewers throws - Ewers will literally be 0-0 for with 27 picks. Something something Loveland something another 300 yards."). Absolutely spectacular prognostication, bitches. Hopefully, this turns out similarly. And more than that, hopefully those piss jug throwing fucks go 0-12 on the season and all of the very worst elements of that fanbase murder Ryan Day's To Catch a Predator looking ass before committing mass harikari. Apologies to the 7 respectful Ohio State fans. I know a couple of them post here but can't remember usernames for shit. Y'all seem OK. Don't do the harikari thing but if you still want to kill Ryan Day, I wouldn't object
  17. It really was. This was the first time in a while I sat and watched the whole episode. It's really interesting that they (Mack and GDGD) identified him as a real player when he was just a sophomore and that he really wasn't particularly polished or developed at all when they first saw him play. The line about, "OK, coach - but what is cover 2?" cracked me up. I always suspected there was a ton of potential (which admittedly just means "you ain't done it yet," - as the great man once said) there but for the head injuries. I feel like this interview vindicates that belief a little bit and all those concussions were a fucking shame. But, as someone else said, I'm really glad to see that he's not displaying obvious signs of CTE - because I really thought that might be an issue for him by now, even at this early juncture. Instead, he comes across as a funny, clever guy and I'm now a bigger fan that I was previously. Also, the immediate chemistry with the younger Shipley is very interesting. We can only imagine what those two could have done but for injuries and atrocious coaching... Fuck GDGD. And fuck Shawn Watson just for good measure
  18. As long as we're very faithfully sticking to the topic of recruiting the 2026 class, I just wanted to say that you're a madman, sir, and I absolutely cannot respect your opinion on this (though I'm sure you have many fine, perfectly cromulent opinions on many other topics). Susan Sarandon is and always will be one of the hottest women I've ever seen. Something, something, crawling crotch first through broken glass (or at least the young, unmarried version of campcrunk would have). I think I've already said all I needed to say. Also, any Twin Peaks fan who can discuss the universe's love for Dougie Jones is OK in my book, even if they are wrong about certain award winning actresses. May the White Lodge (or whatever that weird Judy entity living in Sarah Palmer was - if you're into that) keep you safe and happy
  19. I very much suspected this was kind of what's been going on but seeing in put in writing by someone who actually knows WTF is going on is very, very heartening. I am very much looking forward to flip season (NO JINX) as certain teams underperform and/or realize that their mouths have written checks that their asses just can't cash Also, I am GREATLY looking forward to watching Riley crash and burn (I mean, more than he already has) at USC. Couldn't happen to a better coach or program Edit: I also think it's EXTREMELY important to note that our very talented, very promising, young roster has lost virtually no one of any real consequence (sorry Savion Red, you didn't count in 2024 and you don't count now). That is HUGE and is being greatly underestimated by a significant portion of the board. You think losing Kendal Guervil sucks? Imagine Ryan Wingo, Colin Simmons, or even Alex January transferring to tOSU or Michigan. Guervil (and the rest of the defeats, pending or otherwise, from the 2026 class, some of which may very well wind up being temporary), are pinpricks at most - and I firmly believe the end result will wind up being very, very gruntling to the non-doomer portions of this board
  20. It was not. I don't remember the name of the place but it's apparently super popular with the locals. I may have blocked it out based on the sheer psychological horror of seeing brisket cut on the equivalent of an HEB deli machine set at 0.5 thickness (best setting for Cajun turkey, btw). I mostly remember being initially excited because the line was out the door and around the restaurant. Then, I got my food and to call it "a letdown" is just so woefully inadequate. Seeing the huge line and being excited was like being an aggy fan when they were up 37-10 against UCLA. Then, actually tasting the paper thin brisket and "burnt ends" was like seeing Josh Rosen fake the spike and hit Jordan Lasley in the end zone with 40 seconds left of whatever.
  21. You're absolutely right - but there's definitely an implication in some of the above posts that the women listed there are somehow equivalent to the some of the women I saw waiting in line for a popular KC "BBQ" joint I had to eat at because a client said I just "had to try it." He's a fucking idiot, their shitty deli meat "brisket" sucks, searing cubes of beef does not a burnt end make, and their women are busted. The pork ribs were OK, I guess. Also, Anna Kendrick and young Susan Sarandon in particular - absolutely would. All day long. Or at least 37 seconds it would take me to finish Anyway, I got mad about horrendous KC "BBQ" and kind of forgot my point.
  22. Y'all motherfuckers. Y'all motherfuckers. I'm not saying that Anna Kendrick, Heather Graham, young Susan Sarandon, or Emma Stone are all 12/10 or anything. And I'm sure those of you whose wives haven't left you penniless, destitute, and miserable beyond comprehension, dearly, dearly love your spouse and consider her (or him - no judgment here) to be the most gorgeous sentient alive. But y'all motherfuckers. Somewhere between the ages of 17 and 27, likely the vast majority of that timeframe, all of y'all would have crawled belly first through broken glass for a single crumb of a crumb of pussy from any of the actresses listed above. Don't act like you wouldn't have. It's unbecoming.
  23. Or at least share them. I sincerely hope you brought enough for the whole class. Full doses, preferably. None of this microdosing silliness that really only exists to make people more effective proles
