  1. Wired speakers or amplified solo speakers with a bluetooth connection? This seems gimmicky and I'm not sure they can be paired into zones, but here's one cheaper example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/SVOPES-2-Piece-6-5-in-Bluetooth-Ceiling-Speakers-150-W-Flush-Mount-8-Impedance-89-dB-Sensitivity-for-Home-Kitchen-DPXDYSQ65YCLOVPZAV1-V1225/334261676?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOopaWTixyht-3EWX6nDxwdK2kO8sFyHNP-jHXv311uwQIb1cWLmyRko https://www.homedepot.com/p/VEVOR-4-Pieces-6-5-in-Bluetooth-in-Ceiling-Speakers-150-Watt-Flush-Mount-Ceiling-In-Wall-Speaker-w-8-Impedance-for-Home-DPXDYSQ65YCSYB22LV1/331250362?MERCH=REC-_-pipsem-_-334261676-_-0-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a Wired speakers are all I have experience with and I can't recommend Sonos because of the way they borked their early adopters with forced obsolescense, poor software design, and privacy concerns. Spotify Connect native is a huge benefit if you're a Premium subscriber. It allows for direct speaker connection and control via your Spotify app or player on the same network. My home is all Bose SoundTouch with a mix of SVS in the theater and Ubiquiti for the network, so I feel comfortable recommending these three: https://www.bose.com/p/speakers/bose-music-amplifier/MUAMP-AMPLIFIER.html?srsltid=AfmBOop4IuYq0JucDg_t9sIoiUKYPL4F1ZpTyanDGKhBTiW5ycnXexxN https://www.svsound.com/products/prime-wireless-pro-soundbase?srsltid=AfmBOoqQOsZpQz18O6wd7WTOfTbTfUcX-bD2JhmW4tfEvZ14Zd6vU7jW https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/upl-amp
  2. I'm watching this on Severe Studios with Radarscope on another screen. Definitely see a debris ball from the Northridge neighborhood as this tornado heads for Lubbock Christian University. It's been riding eastward on 114 from Reese Center.
  3. The lobbyists won, unfortunately, the CFPB withdrew their proposals on data broker protections. https://www.consumerfinancialserviceslawmonitor.com/2025/05/cfpb-withdraws-proposed-fcra-data-broker-rule/
  4. Who knew Elon was the trojan horse we actually needed? Called for Trump to be impeached and Vance to replace him - which was probably the actual plan. Plus, he likely stole so much data that he has alllll the dirt.
  5. Thanks for the reminder to use a Google Voice number and temporary E-mail account on my next loan application.
  6. Yeah, you just found yourself a squatter.
  7. Free shuttle? Sheeeiiit, I paid $40 to get me to/from Union Station as I've heard ride share logisitics sucks and of course there's no RTD station in Morrison.
  8. I'm there tomorrow night for Lord Huron. I think another member here is at the show tonight.
  9. Fuck off, I'm willing to give up a 2.8% to get out of Texas and the math ain't mathing. Tell me when I regain my sanity, if doubling my mortgage coupon for a similar appraised house makes sense.
  10. Can't put the toothpaste back after the Fed bought $2.3T in MBS, while PPP targeted $500B at business owners so they can further inflate asset prices (equities, Lambos, AirBnBs). $4.6T was firehosed into the economy and everybody is gaslighting us about how inflation works. Now nearly 40% of homeowners have no mortgage at all, so that home price isn't going to move much to appeal to affordability.
  11. +1, I wasn't aware he was the figurehead behind the Mar-a-Lago Accord: https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/global-trends/meet-stephen-miran-the-harvard-hawk-behind-trumps-trade-blitz-eyeing-a-mar-a-lago-accord/articleshow/120352450.cms?from=mdr
  12. Good suggestions, I've researched these and you're on the right track.
  13. FUUUUUUU I didn't want to hear that. I feel like it's doable along the Front Range, just that the wind is fierce, and you'd better have a plan for summer pop-up storms. I've got a buddy in Denver with an older Z car who drives open air as often as he can, but of course I only see his driving pics in the summer months.
  14. I'm gonna let this one marinate over the weekend as a multi-part post/response, just to see what ideas y'all come up with that I haven't considered. I don't drive my S6 any longer and hate that I've sorta lost interest in the car, with a boatload of OEM RS and aftermarket parts sitting in the garage to get silly with. Since the original turbos haven't been lifted it yet, I thought this might be the right time to list it on Bring-a-Trailer, as a couple other similarly-modded cars sold well on the site lately. The proceeds will go toward a fun, perhaps smaller car. My 'daily' is a Rivian R1T, so I have the utility part figured out. It's a quad-motor, 835hp unit, and is kind of silly on the street too. I'm looking for ideas on something fun I'll want to keep in the garage for a while. Requirements as follows: New or used. If preowned, prefer a modern powertrain with direct injection that's tune-able Budget of $75-$80k Manual transmission only GT, sports coupe or roadster format Offers some form of open-air driving RWD or AWD Something that feels 'special' to have in the garage, that makes you look forward to free time for a drive At first, only two cars came to mind, both with V8s, but that has since changed completely. Let's see what you'd pick.
  15. Kirkland Old Vine Zin is tasty too.
  16. Love the Ranger Raptor... that was the second truck on my list and a strong contender until I bought my Rivian R1T. Now the Rivian does everything I could ask it to.
  17. Autopilot on HW3? That scenario is even worse and will let you run a redlight unless you're familiar with its limitations.
  18. About that FSD... C'mon Elon, nobody forced you to choose LIDAR against camera sensors. Just tell us your cars are cheap.
  19. Not sure how this intel surfaced, but it was quickly walked back https://www.kyivpost.com/post/48299 Kyiv Dismisses Reports of China Seeking ‘Combat Experience’ in Ukraine https://united24media.com/latest-news/reports-suggest-china-may-seek-combat-experience-in-occupied-ukraine-following-north-koreas-lead-6440
