Can his 10 day quarantine be shortened? Is he even required to quarantine by HP? This is a quite confusing bullet point to me, Pg 8:
Students who are exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 will not be required to quarantine. The CDC recommends anyone who is not vaccinated and exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 should self-isolate.

Are you quarantining him from life in general? If so, I believe there is a positive to getting a negative test on day 5 (wednesday in your case). He could be out of quarantine by the weekend.

You may be able to shorten your quarantine
Your local public health authorities make the final decisions about how long quarantine should last, based on local conditions and needs. Follow the recommendations of your local public health department if you need to quarantine. Options they will consider include stopping quarantine
After day 10 without testing
After day 7 after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later)
Strange that they only require testing on 12 and up. Are they not interested in 11 year olds with Covid?
Also, how the heck can they tell the difference between an 11 year old and a 12 year old at the gate?
That’s the most he’s done. Too little, too late but I’m surprised he even went that route and even kept saying it after getting booed. Wish he did that in February before the lines were drawn permanently.
While I appreciate this, it doesn't really answer the question. To boil it down, there are a large group of people who say "I already had Covid. It wasn't a big deal." I work with one.
The study you link is about reinfection. They aren't really worried about reinfection, because they've "been there, done that."
All I'm wondering is if there are studies that show that the 2nd infection is worse than the 1st infection. If you weren't hospitalized the first time, what are the odds you will hospitalized the second time?
Mick Jagger in 1969 singing about 13 year olds. Well, the recorded version is *only* about 15 year olds. The live version linked below he changes it to 13. Pretty disturbing lyrics. But does anyone question for second that Mick Jagger (and many others in that era) weren't doing just this. Hell, Jerry Lee Lewis married a 13 year old.
I hear the click-clack of your feet on the stairs I know you're no scare-eyed honey There'll be a feast if you just come upstairs But it's no hanging matter It's no capital crime
I can see that you're fifteen years old No I don't want your I.D. And I've seen that you're so far from home But it's no hanging matter It's no capital crime
Oh yeah, you're a strange stray cat Oh yeah, don'tcha scratch like that Oh yeah, you're a strange stray cat Bet your mama don't know you scream like that I bet your mother don't know you can spit like that.
