  1. Did I tell you all how much I despise Big 12 officiating??
  2. He’s Batman now. (Old Snickers commercial for you youngins)
  3. I hate big 12 refs with every fiber of my being. Two ISU TD’s are due to bad officiating.
  4. Does a stripper’s monkey do lines of coke with her?
  5. This win still doesn’t get this ref crew off the hook for their ridiculous calls. Total bullshit.
  6. This ref crew should be executed on site. Ridiculous.
  7. I may have jinxed the missed PAT. My bad.
  8. Million dollar question. His next good football hire will be his first, going back to his time at Miami. Everyone says, "But he hired Beard, he hired Tadlock, Track is awesome". Well, allow me to retort: 1. Beard: That fell in his lap. Anyone with half a lick of sense would have gone after Beard the moment Tubby submitted his resignation. I'm sorry, but I can't give him credit for that one. That was the quintessential definition of low-hanging fruit. 2. Tadlock: Again, low-hanging fruit. First, Tadlock was already on the Tech staff. Second, everyone knew before Kirby ever arrived in Lubbock that Tadlock would be the eventual pick to be the head baseball coach. Kirby would have been fired if he had NOT named Tadlock the head coach. 3. Track: Doesn't count. Wes Kitley was at Tech before Kirby. 4. Other sports: a. Don't pay the bills. b. He whiffed twice on women's basketball coach. Kirby should have been fired at the same time as Wells. This disaster of a hire was all on him, as was KK before him, as was the Miami coach who sucked.
  9. Every school that's ever played OU can appreciate this meme.
  10. Ah, got it. That makes perfect sense. Thanks!
  11. I don't understand how Montana doesn't have any of the state of Montana??
  12. #9 gonna get his ass chewed by the ST coach. If he had just looked to his left he could have made the block to spring his teammate into the EZ.
  13. Wow, I feel like Tom Hagen all of a sudden. Tech is out? I didn't think we were bad a consigliere.
  14. Matt Wells doesn't know jack squat. He needs to just focus on football at this point and figure out how to no longer suck. Maybe if he had done a better job coaching the past two years we would have better TV ratings and be in a better spot to land in PAC12.
  15. That site is a beating. I quit reading it years ago. So did a lot of others, apparently.
  16. Somewhat. But the transfer portal, NIL, and the "super league" are going to finish off the job.
  17. Tech checking in. Crickets from Lubbock. The administration either (1) has absolutely nothing going on; or (2) for legal reasons has to keep quiet. My bet is on #1.
  18. Well said. I think what ESPN and the SEC and others don't really realize are the numbers behind the numbers. I think fans of "Tier 2" schools watch their conference mates play in other games because there is a related, vested interest in how those games turnout, or in how one conference is matching up with another. If we are relegated to a 32 team super conference/premier league and then all of the rest, there are going to be a lot of viewers who used to watch those tier 1 matchups who no longer are interested because there is no longer any connection to their team and/or region. I don't think that manifests right away, but over a few short years it could be. And then ESPN is going to wonder why these matchups aren't pulling in the viewership like they used to. CFB doesn't work like the NFL, it just doesn't. So making an NFL junior will not ultimately work. One this is for certain: It's going to be interesting to watch it play out.
  19. You're missing my point. CFB had a unique brand. This will destroy that. It's now NFL 2.0. It's like Coke coming out with "New Coke" to compete with Pepsi by basically eschewing it's recipe for Pepsi 2.0. The fans didn't like it. Full disclosure: I'm an old fart in a relatively young body. I think the jumbotrons were the beginning of CFB giving up it's unique gameday experience. This is just the final step in the complete conversion to a minor league of the NFL.
  20. I can't handle all of the irony in that. ESPN is the architect of this whole thing. Doesn't he understand that the people who sign his paycheck (authorize the direct deposit) are the ones he's upset with?
  21. In my opinion, that would be the only scenario that saves CFB from a fan-interest standpoint. If this happens, you keep a lot more fans and interest. But if the other scenario of only two mega conferences with a total of only 32 teams happens, then I think after a few short years viewership drops dramatically because it's basically NFL 2.0 and CFB would have successfully shot itself in the foot by ruining what made it unique from the NFL.
