  1. We won yesterday bud, it wasn't pretty but a win is a win. If you tuck in the string and man the fuck up you're more than welcome to join us Texas fans but your bitchassness isn't welcome. Congrats on the big win against Rice. The sports world is all abuzz about it. Given that Surly posters apparently prefer entertaining content, I will continue to post my bitchassness, but good luck with sunsihine-pumping stuff.
  2. Based on what I saw today, I'd rather have the Colorado offensive players and offensive coaches than UT's. And yeah, maybe TCU has fallen off, but surely they are better than shitty Rice.
  3. First it was, "they won't win a game. And, how many of you experts here assured us that TCU would throttle them? Then, in their first game, they visit and beat college football's 17th ranked team. So, as right on cue, you flip the narrative to "you will see how bad they are when you view their season as a whoie and TCU was actually really terrible." Haha, okay. Maybe CU will suck, maybe they won't, but they have ALREADY exceeded expectations for the season and guess who is the talk of college football? Some of you kinda suck at this. Thinking the same.
  4. Deion's team looks better coached than Texas, lol.
  5. But wait, I thought all the experts here said: Deion couldn't coach The new players aren't any good There aren't enough players for a D1 team TCU is gonna rip him a new one Deion once owned a school that failed Blah, blah, blah
  6. I'd say so. Looks like Colorado is better than all the haters assured us they would be. It's a long season, though!
  7. Hey, Blacklab. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but thought we'd agreed that you wouldn't post Westlake updates without running them by me first. We don't want to be sharing incorrect, defeatist-styled posts that are off-brand message. Let's discuss this in my office on Monday. Folks, Blacklab made a typo in his post. It was 77-0 at halftime, not 17-0. And the final was 141-0, not 41-0. Westlake looked AMAZING in every aspect. Our QB didn't look nervous, panicky, or inaccurate at all. We were PURPOSELY missing all those passes just to experiment with various game situations. And our running game is DESIGNED to let the defense know that the QB never runs, so they stack the line and hold our little RB to no gain. THAT IS THE GAME PLAN!!!
  8. I like to post things that entertain me, and hopefully, other people. These days, the Longhorns are adept at providing me lots of content. But I reserve my best shots for the ultimate clown show that resides in College Station.
  9. Remember how Favre wouldn't help train Rogers? What a terrible diva he was. I've never liked Rogers but if you can believe Hard Knocks, he is helping train the backup QB's at NY.
  10. It's always tending positive at Texas in August. I no longer get emotionally involved, except for Quinn Ewers, whom I got to hang with, (and caught a pass from, lol) and the Westlake players. Hope they do well, but I think they will get Sarked.
  11. I really liked the Ridge Point QB. Dude has some wheels and plays hard! He's going to be a force to deal with. Our D is salty but in the second half in that heat and humidity, being on the field so much really wore them down. I prefer our backup QB and for the second year, can't understand why he isn't starting. He's much faster, and is a real dual threat. I guess everyone always loves the backup QB.
  12. Watched my beloved Chaps on the stream. I’m feel how Clemson fans must have felt for the last two years hoping DJ Uiagalelei would finally put it all together. Our QB, God bless him, has the size and arm but something is missing. You hope after the off-season, he somehow would come back as this bastion of skill and confidence. And then you see the him do the exact same things, like panic, bail on the pocket, throw balls to nowhere, etc. Sigh. We have a great little RB, but we run that “you know the QB is never keeping the ball” scheme so the defense doesn’t even bother worrying about the QB keeper, about it, lulz.
  13. Fair point and you are correct. Sadly, I stopped paying attention around 2018. Now I'm in it for the comedy.
  14. I honestly hope you are right, but so far, I don't see it, nor do I see success for Sark to the level expected here. Deion has done an amazing job of promoting his program and has changed the game about how to do so. It may not matter to all the people here, but it matters to today's recruits. Hey, he may fail, but he has done a terrific job of generating excitement within their program and attracting good players. To be clear, EVERY coach merchandises his personal brand. Some like Sark, who is more of a middle manager type, just suck at it.
  15. Not if he's building a foundation for success the following year, which something none of the fraud UT coaches were/are able to do.
  16. Last December, he took over one of the worst programs (or maybe the worst) in D1 over the last 5 years. Since then, Colorado season tickets were sold out in the spring BEFORE the season. The last time this happened at Colorado was, well, never! He has managed to sign or transfer over a large number of highly-recruited players to his program He has changed the way people will use social media to attract talent forever He has brought in some pretty respected assistant coaches and he's smart enough to let them do what they do best. He has created a momentum that has the alums, players, and students really excited Yes, he merchandises his personal brand, like many coaches do. He's just better at it. If this is the price of him being a diva, then I would gladly pay for that at UT, where we continue to stumble through a decade-plus of incredible mediocre to downright awful football. End-times Mack, Strong, Herman and now Sark. I'd take the Deion show any day of the week over that lot.
  17. Yeah, he really is different from the rest of college coaches at major programs, who care little about their salary and focus exclusively on the well-being of those around them.
  18. So to be clear, don't share potential problem updates for Alec Baldwin in the "Things Aren't Going Well for Alec Baldwin" thread. Makes sense.
