  1. I think the show actually got better AFTER Don and Betty divorced. It went from a show about a very interesting personal situation inside a compelling time and place (60s ad agency) and then became a much better and more daring show about all of the changes that the world was experiencing (the time jumps were especially cool) at that time, with Don as sort of the centerpiece holding the universe together. In other words, it went from a show about Don to a show about something else entirely where Don was an anchor for the narrative.
  2. It was excellent. Wolverine was awesome. Him growling "shut the fuck up!" and Deadpool squealing "Oh my God" made the move for me.
  3. condolences
  4. "Does he hate the dogs? Is he mad that I got them? Are they getting too fat? Am I getting too fat? Is he cheating on me? Why is he cheating on me? Is it Julie?"
  5. Yes. As you probably know the Supreme Court just met in the U.S. Capitol building until 1935 when the courthouse was built. And Congress has broad authority to regulate the jurisdiction of the Court, but probably cannot divest it of jurisdiction over constitutional issues.
  6. There is no Gadsden County, Alabama.
  7. The pacing on this show is unbelievably shitty
  8. Sorry I forgot how elevated the discourse here is
  9. I stand by my criticisms of the "wise Latina"
  10. I think one of the limiting principles will be the Court's estimation of how much the public will tolerate. I think they misjudged that in Dobbs and are trying to figure out how to cobble the next act together. Sotomayor is a retard and her examples are typically stupid But I will read the opinion and all the dissents when I get a chance.
  11. For my part I very much agree with you where Dobbs is concerned.
  12. I haven’t read it yet so I don’t have an opinion
  13. Yeah I understand that position and often criticize who I consider to be intellectually dishonest, activist judges, but Adelman's approach was counterproductive.
  14. He was admonished for the opening two sentences AND the criticisms of partisan policy decisions and you will note that Judge Adelman caved under the scrutiny and tried to walk those comments back, but it was too late to do so. Criticizing decisions, even in extraordinarily harsh language, is fair game. But Adelman indulged in petulant whining and did not do a lot to advance his cause (in my opinion). Just like I should not have called his article "garbage." That was neither appropriate nor fair, but I was reacting to his narrative and his personal attacks on other members of the bench.
  15. I'd have sex with Molly Shannon, but I wouldn't pay $100k to do it
  16. Just FYI Adelman was censured by the Seventh Circuit for publishing that garbage.
  17. You've never forgotten something when you went on a trip? Even something important? Okay, blowhard. Also, I like how you put "hunter" in quotation marks. "That guy is not a hunter. He forgot something."
  18. The real utility of this is for hunters. If you can buy a box of ammo at night when all the stores are closed so you can hunt in the morning, that's a great solution. I looked online but was fuzzy about what calibers are offered.
  19. I love that he mentioned going to Branson twice and you're criticizing him for maybe going to Chicago. I'd rather get shot and killed in Chicago in the middle of a snowstorm than be within 100 miles of Branson.
  20. I have to do five: 1. Homer Simpson 2. Ron Swanson 3. Jack Donaghy 4. Archie Bunker 5. Dan Connor
  21. I don't see anything wrong with it
  22. Consider it done. Thank you.
  23. Yo I need the details on this please. How long and at what temp?
  24. The anti-gun side no longer denies they are commonly possessed. First they denied they were commonly possessed because they were a minority of the overall number of guns owned. So they were objectively possessed in large numbers, but subjectively they were a small percentage of firearms used. Then when that failed, they pivoted to arguing that the average owner of one modern sporting rifle actually owned 3.2 of them, so the numbers were wildly inflated by "hoarders." Now the argument is that, while there may be a large number of them in circulation, they are still not commonly used FOR SELF DEFENSE. As in, people rarely use them to shoot assailants in justifiable self defense situations.
  25. I work in a large office and one of my favorite things to do is to pour yesterday's cup of coffee into the urinal for the next guy to find
