  1. Is this like Dr. Derka writing prescriptions for fried chicken?
  2. The fate of Rogue One characters was anticlimactic. The fate of Rogue One prequel characters even more so. Damn Disney saved the best writers and creators for Mandolorian and Andor though.
  3. Agreed. I see him and Fields as the same QB. Hurts was a late second round pick going to a team that just came off a Super Bowl win. In year 3 he played well, maybe at his ceiling. Running the ball is still a big part of his game, and that skill doesn’t last forever. Young is a good passer, but not built to run and be hit in the NFL. I bet he’ll win a bunch of exciting games and make some ESPN highlights. I wouldn’t bet on his week-to-week availability if I was picking him #1 (or trading multiple firsts to get him). And that assumes his passing game will translate to the NFL given his “6 foot” height. The list of sub 6 foot QBs after Brees and Wilson is short.
  4. Congratulations! It would be hard for me to leave all that money on the table just to go to Texas, assuming the other schools’ programs are ranked well. There will be no shortage of desirable coeds at any of those choices (did he forget to apply to ASU and UCLA?!). Have you had him run ROI tables yet? 😆
  5. This wasn’t created yesterday. All season long while ESPN was hyping them up, many pointed to their struggles with a weak ass schedule. Now in 2023 they will play against the other division winners (Bills, Chiefs, 49ers, Vikings along with Seahawks, Dolphins, and Patriots) and they could have a big dip in record, which will be attributed to some Super Bowl losing hangover rather than they managed to squeak by a lot of mediocre teams in 2022.
  6. Was “the real deal” Reggie McNeal unavailable? The first thing that comes to mind about Jerrod Johnson was when he played some HS all star or playoff game at DKR and he got pissed at the VY, Ricky, and Earl posters and said something “naw dawg y’all gotta take all that down!” then he sucked at QB for the rest of his life.
  7. [Amateur surly csi] Yeah, if she was so concerned about his well being that her first response to him not answering the phone would be to call and send the cops…why did she leave him? Under what scenario would you go to a dance studio, and call the police to check on your spouse at home rather than go yourself? This seems like classic establishing an alibi. Her Instagram account linked above emits vibes of a horny milf looking for a new man. Her husband appears in no pics for videos she’s posted in the past 12 months, but there’s plenty of thirst traps.
  8. With so many fillers or episodes centered on Omega Aussie whining, I’ve lost track for the motivation behind eliminating the clones. Was the Empire too financially strapped to keep buying clones or to repay their original debts to Kamino, or was it more about a new form of control by conscripting x% of youths from various planets to join the stormtroopers?
  9. Al Del Greco hadn’t made it to the NFL yet.
  10. Texas got 3 shithead schools as permanent games.
  11. If we lose the lottery, maybe the team with #1 will accept a screenshot of these trade simulators when we offer our pick plus ten second rounders for #1
  12. If you look like a girl in Constantinople you’ll be dismembered in Istanbul.
  13. Levis has the prototype size which is a hit and miss metric (Josh Allen had shitty stats at Wyoming), and put up good stats with his previous OC and a better OL. The combo of new coaches and underclass men OL really hurt his performance in 2022. What would he look like on Alabama or Ohio State’s offense? What would Bryce Young or CJ Stroud look like on Kentucky’s offense?
  14. He got paid and got laid while working for the Texas Longhorns football program. If that’s not L-I-V-I-N, I don’t know what is.
  15. What would be sweet as shit is if in the lead up to the draft all the buzz is on the DL talent and teams cool on this QB class. Already a lot of smoke that Chicago may keep #1 and get the best player on the board. Maybe another team wants the other top prospect and moves up…or wants their choice of QB while Houston could be indifferent or favor Levis over Young/Stroud. This team needs as much 1st-3rd round talent as it can get. If they take a QB at #2 who flops, it will set the franchise back another two or three seasons. I wouldn’t risk it with any of these QBs.
  16. ::checks URL and thread title:: Sometimes assholes are forced to change names a couple times.
  17. There’s a lot of professional mock drafts coming out, based on early feedback from NFL sources, that have Stroud over Young as first QB taken and/or a non-QB taken at #1. I hope this is real and keeps up because: 1. Texans may end up with all QBs on the board at #2; 2. Texans may not feel pressure to take QB2 over a top rated defensive player at #2 if someone trades up to #1; 3. Texans could get some nice trade down offers from a team seeking QB1, QB2, or top rated player (Carter or Anderson) depending on how it plays out.
  18. My youngest son was assigned to the Yankees t-ball. It will be hard, but I can muster the strength to boo him.
  19. Has he already installed the CU equivalent of the Texas Angels?
  20. Argh I just got the a(i)ds!
  21. We have been on the Bronco waiting list for 18 months and still haven’t put the order into the banks yet, and Ford discontinued the color my wife wanted (school bus yellow ‘cyber orange’) so we were SOL. Then bless this old lady’s soul who ordered a cyber orange, hard top, Outer Banks with the big engine and leather seats from a small town dealership, then backed out as soon as she tried to drive it. We jumped on that shit last week and somehow only paid $2k over sticker (the dealers in Houston are still asking for $15-20k over sticker if they get any in stock).
  22. I originally hated picking Stroud because he was never overly impressive by throwing to mostly wide open future NFL WRs and going to his first read. When he got to the playoffs against Georgia, he had one of the best games of his career, hit second and third reads, and ran when he needed to. So who knows with this group of QBs? If you believe analytics in sports, there are damning stats against sub 6’ QBs not named Brees or Russell Wilson. I think it’s too much risk to take any of the QBs at #2 because of how many holes the Texans need to fill across the roster. They need to get guys as close to sure bets as possible. Unfortunately none of the top 3 will probably be there at #12. There are plenty who think Levis will be the best pro of the group. He sucked in two UK games I watched, but someone’s counter was “how well do you think Young or Stroud would look on this 2022 UK team with their dogshit OL?” Fair point.
  23. Every time someone mentions how smart Kyle Shanahan is, all I can think of is during his sophomore year when he impaled the bottom of his thigh trying unsuccessfully to hurdle over a picket fence.
  24. I hate the concept of demanding draft picks for retired coaches. Nobody can answer my question of: “If the coach is still under an enforceable contract and the old team won’t let the coach go to a new team, wouldn’t that mean the old team has to pay him if he unretires and shows up to work on Monday just to force his release?” Regardless, he is likely looking to pad his retirement (asking $20m/yr) more than following his competitive fire. He’s older, won’t have Drew Brees, and no Super Bowl winning coach has ever won one with another team. Paying the Saints a first round pick and more for that opportunity? GTFO
  25. Can’t decide between: and the combo of these:
