  1. Can this somehow result in Joe Buck never announcing another NFL or MLB game?
  2. It would be a damn shame to see Lebron play his last season or two for a place like Sacramento or a future gutted version of the Pelicans or Wizards.
  3. From a bird in the hand prospective, former #2 pick DE, #11, #43 picks and a third isn’t terrible. I would also like at least two #1’s plus either a good player, a third #1, or something like #2+#4.
  4. Gaddafi? Does Putin like the old “let my knife drink” Arab treatment, aka shoving a 12 inch saber up his anus?
  5. Adam Silver concerned by non-playing arrangement of John Wall, Rockets Ok you ghoulish dbag, why don’t make contracts in these situations less than 100% guaranteed so both sides have incentive to negotiate a buyout? Or at least not make them count against the salary cap.
  6. Maybe he confided in Easterby that he was a denomination of christian other than evangelical wealth hypers.
  7. Holy shit we tied 15-15 tonight! With Mez3.b we’d be lighting stogies.
  8. Lolz the Woodlands league takes this shit seriously. They have us all on this “GameChanger” app to track games (runs, hits, outs, defensive playing time) and home team must keep and submit an official scorebook starting in this preK t-ball. (The 3-4 year olds league called “k-ball” does not keep score or outs). I think they put the t-ball, coach pitch, and machine pitch maybe a year earlier than most to get their kids an extra season of kid pitch before they are playing for Williamsport maybe? I didn’t expect to have a winning record, but after our first game I think 0-12 is a reality. I feel bad for the 9 other non-special needs kids if they never get to experience a win in their first season of sports in life.
  9. Come North, young man! I’ve seen the swing in the genes!
  10. Since I’ve been mostly complaining in this thread I’ll stick with it for at least one more post. My preK t-ball team got 3 kids with disabilities (autism, two are pretty bad and of those is non-verbal). I was told before the season how rare it is get 3 outs before the 5 run inning cap. My team got 3 out’d in two of our three at-bats today. Both times it was one “normal” out like an easy hit to the pitcher or 2nd, and the other two out were autistic kids not running to first base after they finally made contact. Almost every game is a 15-15 or 20-20 tie in this league, and we got beat 15-8. I’m a good sport and keep the kids positive, but this is going to get old if we go winless. It’s not fair to my other 9 players.
  11. That all makes sense about the date, I just thought kindergartners played t-ball, not coach pitch. Some kids that are barely 5 playing coach pitch is ambitious IMO.
  12. He may not make Canton, but he’ll go down in the Fantasy Football HOF because he was the king of racking up garbage time yards and TDs for the Lions, especially in those years with Megatron.
  13. The Weird nickname and tie dye jersey should have been for the MLS team.
  14. If they exercise the 5th year option on first round picks, which they will, he is under contract for 2 more seasons. Then they can franchise him the year after at a “reasonable” rate. Basically the Cardinals can go year-to-year here until 2025 without making a long term guaranteed $ commitment. Mahomes and Watson got their mega extensions at the end of Year 4, so Kyler is a little short on experience to be demanding top 5 pay for 5+ years guaranteed. He is also not as good as them. These QB contracts kill teams. If you’re going to take up 20%+ of your team’s salary cap, you better fucking play like Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, Brady (who never made that much), Brees, etc. When teams hand it out to the Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Derek Carr types it will not end well and you will probably be drafting your next QB in a couple years. The Browns don’t want to give Mayfield the money. We’ll see if/when the Cowboys regret giving it to Dak.
  15. Yeah. We are LL, and per the age chart kids born in summer 2017 are considered “5”. Half our t-ball team will still be 4 though when the season ends in May. In two years, my boy will be in first grade, 6 years old, but considered “7” and in machine pitch. I could’ve sworn I didn’t play machine pitch until 2nd and 3rd grade, and I was an older kid for my grade.
  16. In our league they do the age cut off on July 1 or Aug 1, so both of my June boys play T-ball at 3 (!) and 4, coach pitch at 5, machine pitch at 6!
  17. I didn’t like the trade initially from the Rockets’ perspective because if Harden hadn’t been traded to Philly, I assumed he was gone after the season, likely Kyrie as well. Then it would be up to KD whether he tried to recruit another star, agree to some Harden S&T for a new running mate, or that KD could bail too. Now, Simmons ain’t going anywhere so if he develops any kind of relationship with KD, they could be just competitive enough to keep the Rockets from getting a couple too 5/10 picks.
  18. When I was little (30 years ago) everyone played t-ball the year they were in kindergarten. What happened to LL age rules? I thought I was ahead of the game by enrolling my 4 year old, only to discover I missed his K-ball and fall t-ball seasons and this is his final opportunity to play t-ball, moving up to coach pitch a month after he turns 5. Holy smokes I’m still trying to teach him which direction to run the bases! Oak Ridge/Woodlands had a real shortage of coaches this year too (or every year?) so I got upgraded to head coach as well. The most difficult part so far is explaining the tight short shorts to my wife.
  19. I assumed that after Flores did not get the Bears or Giants jobs, he decided he didn’t want the Texans or Saints jobs and told his lawyer to drop bombs.
  20. And he sold like $10 million in couches and tempurpedics. This was his best scenario (Bengals cover but lose)
  21. Yeah, I think that the refs let them play for the most part until the end. The OPI was missed, but it was the first play of the 3rd, not for a 1st and Goal with 1:30 left. The next play may have been a legit unnecessary roughness for the hit on Kupp, but the fucking Super Bowl was on the line. You are going to fault the DB doing anything to cause an incompletion with the Super Bowl literally on the line? The third consecutive play with a flag against the Bengals was not arguable, but at that point it felt like the refs were just going to keep tossing yellow until the Rams scored. Fuck whichever Ram DL was taunting after it looked like Burrow tore his knee ligament and drew the flag against the Bengals OL defending Burrow. Karma will get that dude, just apparently not this season.
  22. I don’t think “everyone on earth assumed you (Texans) were stupid enough to hire McNown, so we’re going to take it as fact and treat you like you already did even though you hired Lovie” will win Flores the case, even though the Texans are that stupid.
  23. I’m not sure what your point is by posting those studies in reply to my post. I was not debating the risks of Covid-19, even a mild case of it. I was stating that my highly vitamined, triple Moderna vaxxed, late 30s wife and I experienced similar symptoms in intensity and duration as my unvaccinated 4 year old and several unvaccinated 30s/40s we know. This is clearly not universal, but in science and medicine you should consider the minority results as well. I have mentioned previously that I have minor concerns about safety, but they weren’t enough that my wife and I ever seriously considered not getting vaccinated. I am still on the fence about kids younger than 5, maybe a bit older, and now that my kids have recovered from one bout of Covid I might kick their vaccination decision down the road 6-12 months. I’m sure you’ll have some aloof cunt comment to this too, like you do every time I post on this thread.
