  1. The NFL will jump on banning that before players start repping sponsorships or political messages. Clever and awesome for Jordan though.
  2. I'm disappointed to read anyone supports Mack returning to the program in any form besides a fan who purchases his own ticket. As many have said, you should always measure risk vs. reward. The reward....maybe he helps NIL fund raising and completely reverses his personality from who we learned he was and adds positive morale? The risks are too numerous to count, the chief being that his ego can't stand someone else looking better than him and he will passive aggressively (or just aggressively behind the scenes) do little things to start the rot on Sark's program. Super worst case, he pulls the Jay Leno in hopes that Texas asks him to coach again after Sark. Mack was outstanding at recruiting from 1999-2008 and the conservative coaching style was enough for superior talent to win 10 games a year. His inability to beat OU created the national perception that Texas is a paper tiger that persists today and will until we win another championship and beat top 10 teams on the reg. He gets way too much credit for the one national championship, when his contributions were 1) being talked into recruiting VY when he initially didn't want to, and 2) "letting Vince be Vince" aka not fucking it up. VY was the outlier. Mack got lazy in recruiting or the rest of the world caught up, and the wheels fell off. Then he torched the place on his way out the door. He wasn't a martyr for whom fans should feel sorry. He probably made over $30m while coaching and we paid him $3.25m when we fired him. We owe him nothing.
  3. He’s not getting divorced, he just ran out of marriage.
  4. The scenic nature of Arkansas is far more diverse than its citizens’ gene pool.
  5. If Bregman is the latest Boras client who missed on a long contract and takes a one year prove it deal with a player option for second year, why not do it with the Astros? Just pride, not wanting to let your old team know they were right? Is it worse than taking the same deal with Detroit or Toronto? Can Paredes play OF?
  6. Michael Strahan makes Greg Gumbel look like Stephen A. Smith.
  7. This is right. Quinn is the best Texas QB since Colt graduated. He is very accurate when he has time to throw (off his back foot) and can execute a game plan when things stay on schedule. When things start getting shaky, so does he. With VY or Colt, you assumed a second half lead meant the win was in the bag, and you had faith we’d comeback if we trailed in the 4th. With Quinn, we usually build a lead early and try not to choke it away in the second half. I get an ulcer if we aren’t up by 14+, and have little faith in Quinn if we fall behind in the 4th. Hell, if we were down 4 with 2:00 left, I might take Sam Ehlinger over Quinn to be the man and will his team to the end zone. (I am prepared for longhornlover, thatguy, and the rest of the white knights to throw out some more stats proving Quinn is the most clutch QB in NCAA history….) I’m obviously rooting for him, but I’ll be happy to move on to Arch next season for his more diverse skill set.
  8. Spent a 2nd round pick for a couple games of Diggs, Tank may never play again, and we made Tunsil and Howard grossly overpaid while waiting on Kenyon Green’s contract to expire. Our pets heads are falling off.
  9. Santa is new to Xbox/PS gaming and brought an xbox series S (apparently can’t play physical games) and a physical copy of Madden 25 🤦‍♂️ On a related note, hit me up with a DM on advice if Santa should exchange the xbox Series S 512gb for 1TB or a Series X.
  10. The worst case scenario is Marcus Lattimore from South Carolina. Top 10 pick to never playing another snap (luckily for him, SF burned a 4th rounder on him and he probably made ~$1m before being cut). At least Tank still has a PCL and hopefully no nerve damage, but I’d guess it’s more likely he never plays again than he does.
  11. I hope Thatguy has a healthy second trimester carrying Quinn’s baby.
  12. Pretty sure at least two of the four ligaments fully tore, based on the visual of the dislocation and free rotation of lower leg around what used to be a hinge joint. Could be a menuscal tear as well. Dislocation of patella.
  13. I have a female friend who is an alum of Mines. She’s probably a 5, which makes her a 9 at Mines. She joked about having no shortage of sex partners. Good luck to Little Cooter.
  14. I imagine he told Jesus to get out of his seat.
  15. I assume Crane also avoids most state income taxes that other owners pay, so I don’t shed many tears about cutting into his profit margin for a competitive team.
  16. Had a dream last night we signed a 1B and OF, then traded Framber and Peña to Twins for Correa plus a few good prospects. Step 1 complete.
  17. I preferred Simms over Major. I prefer Arch over Quinn. If the goal is to win a national championship, I favor who has the most talent and upside to deliver big plays in big games. Major was short and often had a noodle arm, but was smart and could put the ball where it needed to go. His talent wouldn't have played against the 2001 Miami defense, for example. Quinn has beautiful touch passes and is usually accurate, but it hasn't translated to points in recent weeks due to good defenses and his injuries. Arch adds dimensions of QB running threat and deep balls to stretch the defenses, while not being as accurate at the lateral and short passes. It is possible to believe Arch gives Texas the best chance to win the next 3 games without "hating" Quinn.
  18. Will this impact my Amazon delivery before Christmas?
  19. We find any outfielders who hit over 0.250 yet?
  20. Let us unite in wanting to see Bert Auburn hoist a national championship trophy about his carrot top hair and then immediately enter the portal.
  21. My boys are wanting NCAA/Madden football games that aren’t supported on their Switch. Is there a consensus among needs of which is better for kids/sports games between whatever are the newest Xbox and PS consoles?
  22. I think most of the bitching was comparing our first round to the Jets. They got Sauce, Garrett Wilson, and traded back in for Jermaine Johnson (and then nabbed Breece Hall a pick before us in early 2nd round). We got an oft-injured Stingley, aggy Green, and Pitre. You can give Caserio credit for taking the more talented Stingley, but give him heaps of blame for going aggy over Jordan Davis or Kyle Hamilton, or not trading up a couple spots for Wilson or Olave.
