  1. Ahh I need to go there again! When I was young, my family owned a camera shop down the road and we would stop there all the time to pick up breakfast on the way when I'd hang out at the shop during the summers as a kid. But that was over 20years ago, totally forgot this place existed until last weekend when I was watching the San Antonio episode of Taco Chronicles on Netflix and it made me think of Taco House. Think I'm going to try to go there this weekend.
  2. I don't know if some tickets are different than others but with my season tickets, you can screen shot them and use them that way. I typically have poor reception around the stadium so ever since they started using the electronic tickets, I have screenshotted my tickets before heading up to Austin and used the screen shot to get in for every game and have never had any issues.
  3. Feel free to flame me if I end up wrong, just passing along what I've heard for those that are curious. But I'm in SA and know someone who spent several years with the Spurs organization and another person who is close friends with someone in the organization currently that all of you would know. And both of them have given credence to the whole murder story in re to Primo. It's not totally solid so take it for what it's worth Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  4. This World Series is a lot more sentimental for me and my friends as well. The weekend before last, one of my closest best friends passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of 34 due to complications from cystic fibrosis. He was one of the biggest Astros fans I know and was part of our group that took an annual weekend trip up to Houston every year for a game. Going to Houston for our annual Astros trip was his favorite thing to do, it's all he could ever talk about all year, whether it was last years trip or the next one coming up. I have so many amazing memories of our trips to Houston for games with him......I passed on the trip this year due to several factors but the regret on missing what would have been our final Astros game together and getting that one last trip together has been a killer. The last few weeks before his passing, every time I would see him he would tell me "dude, if the Astros make the World Series this year, WE'RE GOING TO A GAME!". I hate that he's not here to watch the games with us anymore but I know he was smiling down on us when we finished off the Yankees and will be doing the same when we take care of the Phillies. Come on Astros, let's win this one for Randy and Mike!
  5. I work on Broadway by Lincoln Heights, just a few minutes down the road from the Zitos at Broadway and 410 and have for almost 10 years. Finally tried Zitos for the 1st time a few months ago and quickly realized how stupid I was for depriving myself of those beautiful sandwiches for so damn long, its almost a weekly visit for me now. Best Italian sandwhich I've ever had Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  6. Appreciate the rec! My birthday is on Friday so we were planning to hit up the casino that day after the practice rounds but I'm wondering how busy it's going to be with F1 crowd there on Friday, Wednesday may be the better option.
  7. I'll be there, flying out at 5 am tomorrow morning. It's me and my girlfriend's first race to travel to so super excited to get there! Unfortunately, we got GA tickets which I have heard are less than ideal for Montreal but hoping to get there early enough to at least get a somewhat decent view. Definitely regretting being a cheap ass and not springing for grandstand tickets but I'm sure it'll be alright, just going to try and scope out some good spots Thursday & Friday and try to get there really early on race day.
  8. Chris Simms still thinks Zach Wilson is the Jets savior so yeah, not great Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  9. Really shitty. My great grandparents used to live right down the street from there, during the summers my parents would drop me and my little brother off at there house to spend the day there while they went to work and at least once a week, we would walk to Jacala for lunch. Had a lot of great memories there with my great grandparents before they passed.
  10. If y'all thought McLaren's livery was bad before, just wait till you see it now after their new sponsorship deal with the Android logo and Google Chrome rim covers. I was finally starting to come around on the original livery a little bit but it's just too much for me to get over now Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  11. You're correct. The pink comes from BWT which was the primary sponsor of Force India/Racing Point but is now sponsor of Alpine starting with this season, they require the team they sponsor to incorporate their pink color into their livery
  12. Appreciate the recommendation, I'll give that a try next time.
  13. Not sure of the recipe that you're looking for but I actually just cooked some chicken breast last night that I had marinated with a marinade that includes chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, I've done this marinade several times over the years. For the marinade, you use olive oil, honey, some cut chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic, diced onion, and a little bit of salt, pepper, and cumin. I like it, it's got a bit of a sweet taste to it but if you're not into that, just cut out the honey from the recipe. I think it comes out pretty good, I usually eat it straight or cut it up and mix it into some rice, my girlfriend usually cuts hers up and puts into it a salad.
  14. Exactly, I texted my girlfriend and told her well, bad news, no pit walk like we were looking forward to. But good news, that gives us another day to explore Montreal
  15. Yeah, same here. We just booked our AirBnB 2 nights ago and planned it around getting there so that we can do the pit walk on Thursday, that was one of the things we were most excited about since we are pretty new to this and have never done that before, real bummer
  16. Same, refreshed for 10 minutes before I was able to get into the website, then chose 2 in the dropdown, clicked "add tickets" and then the website crashed again. I checked again at about 10:30 and was able to actually add the tickets and am now in a queue for tickets but it's been about 20 minutes now so I'm not hopeful I'm going to actually be able to get through.
  17. Did anybody manage to snag GA tix for the Floore's show just now? I got on the second they went on sale and the GA section said "Available" when I hovered over it for about 5 minutes before the sale ended but anytime I tried adding 2 tickets and entering the presale code, I got a message that said something to the effect of "There are not enough presale tickets available for your selection. Try selecting 0 or fewer". 🤬 I even saw the VIP section go from "available" to "unavailable" after a few minutes but the whole time it showed "available", I still got the same message that there aren't enough tickets, try 0 or fewer
  18. Not gonna lie, had to Google that word so I guess I'm the loopy cunt now [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  19. As much as I hate how this thread devolves into Westerns, chicken fried steak, and cat facts, and maybe my sarcasm meter is broken right now but there is literally a Deadwood movie, you loopy cunt lol Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  20. I'm a lifelong San Antonian and went to grad school at UTSA so UTSA is my other team. Maybe we know different UTSA fans but I'm on some UTSA Facebook groups and they are constantly trashing UT and trying to compare themselves to them like some weird A&M little brother vs big brother dynamic. Based on the UTSA fans I've been witness to, I am pretty sure they are going to be talking mad shit leading up to that game.
  21. Yeah because an already committed kid taking his commitment video off his Twitter would help to keep attention away from him Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  22. Don't Quinn Ewers my chicken fried steak/sandwhich thread
  23. Ughh really wish I would have done more research on this before being caught off guard with that email this morning. Been doing research now and seeing a lot re the GA areas not providing good vantage points of the race. Grandstand 47 doesn't seem like the most exciting part of the track but I believe they were only about $45USD more than the GA tickets that I bought, at least we'd have a seat and a vantage point to actually see the cars. Oh well, live and learn, I'm just excited to get to be there at least.
  24. They're on the F1 website. I had put in my email to get notified when the tickets go on sale a month or so ago and got the email this morning. When I first checked, there were 2 grandstand sections sold out, when I bought our tickets a little later, there were 4 grandstands sold out, and the last I checked there were 7 sold out so looks like they're going fast.
  25. I got tix for me and the lady this morning. I'm cheap so I got GA. Did I fuck up or are there some good GA vantage points? I understand some of the grandstands will obviously offer better views than GA but we did GA for our first race this year in Austin and got fine enough views at turn 7 and turn 12.
