And honestly - I think a line has to be drawn between players from the 80s/90s who I hated (Laimbeer, Rodman, Malone, Stockton, Sheed, Fisher, etc) and Draymond Green.  He is more arrogant and loudmouthed than most of those guys and he's got the same problem as Laimbeer and Ndamakong Suh with regard to trying to cheapshot people during games.   It's almost laughable - every time he falls down for a loose ball, he's tangled up in someones arm, or his foot is up in the air flailing toward their face.   He's a fucking disgrace to sports and I can only hope one day his mouth writes a check his ass can't cash.

Perkins intentionally left his feet there hoping that Steph would trip, and not giving a fuck if that meant an injury to the best player in the NBA who suffers from chronic lower leg injuries. There’s plausible deniability if it’s someone other than Perk doing it, but he knew exactly what he was doing, and any one of us with Steph’s injury history would have done the same thing.

So Kendrick Perkins is supposed to move his feet under his chair as Stephanie walks backward into their bench? What if moving his feet caused Steph to trip worse?

Key question, if that "play" that didn't hurt Curry was dirty, what is Draymond Greens eye poke to Lebron James? Just another accident from the guy who always seems to be accidentally kicking and flailing at people's faces.

  3. They will give Lebron game 3 and 4 for taking the eye damage in stride. Then Warriors take 5 and 6.

Reminds me of the Harden dunk in game 4 where Draymond went for the face with the right and left hand, luckily Harden just got a concussion and not eye poke.

  4. Just switched it on for a sec, how can you not call an intentional foul? Ahah these games are so sloppily rigged its hilarious. A tech on the coach too just to rub it in lol. Fuck your eyesight Lebron this series is scripted for Warriors in 6. You get your two home wins and thats it.

Lebron wanted to give CLE fans a farewell gift but JR took that dream to hell.  If he was 95% gone, it's 100% now.

Lol you really think he's leaving huh? Let me guess, you think he's going to the West?

To build off this, they can't play their best lineup which Cleveland wouldn't be able to matchup with, the Hampton five, and also it impacts their defense in how they hedge or try and play help defense if you don't have the proper funneling and close outs.  Couple that with Klay probably being a step slow or more and it spells major problems for their defense.

Still, Warriors blow em out tonight.

You know what would have been better for the Cavs? Getting fair value for one of the greatest players of all-time in his prime.

I don't think they wanted that. They wanted him to go so they could build a team from the ground up for Lebron to come back to. That was their plan all along, I think it was the league and Lebron's plan too. Lebron will stay with the cavs or at least the East for the rest of his career too, no matter if he gets swept in this finals, which he won't. I think Chitowndoc said Warriors in 6 based on the vegas odds so I think thats whats happening.

How about Gordon Hayward bailing on the Jazz for the Celtics?

Yes it does. It screws with the competitive balance when you receive no assets for your superstar when they leave. If you don't see how The Decision changed team building, then I don't know what to tell you. The players realized the control they had by leaving money on the table and manipulating the system.

Whatever sells. The league makes up the rules I'm sure they could figure out a way to control it if they wanted.

The Cavs also got 3 first lottery picks when after "the decision" despite the odds being 20%, 15%, and 1.7% lol. There is a 0.05% chance of that happening for real so who knows, a superstar leaves you could be impossibly lucky enough to win the lottery until you can build a good team for him to come back to.

You posted it in black and white and still don't understand it. They can call it a block for not being in legal guarding position regardless of position in or out of the restricted area. OR they can call it a block for being in the restricted area.

So never heard back from you.

Did they iniciate the review based on their rules... to determine if the player was in the restricted area or not? The rule is called "restricted area block/charge review" and although they can do whatever they want after review, the review is for when they are not unreasonably certain if the defender was inside or outside the restricted area. Is 3 feet away from the area not enough?

I mean..... All of this drama obscures Lebron going Angus Young on us..... Hmmm....

    Cute purse though.

Im really suprised dude weed caught up with JR Smith though. One time he "didn't know he was in the game" and forgot to play defense, instead hugging Jason Terry on the bench.

You know how many lame violations get missed throughout the course of a game?

I thought the last two minutes rules were enforced, like reviewing a charge call? Or is it that no rules are enforced the last two minutes? Or does it just depend which team would benifit from the calls?

JFC, stop arguing that 50/50 blocking call. The real issue if you think this is rigged...the refs realize it’s going to be a close series unless they intervene, so they gift GS game 2 with all that ejection/fighting BS.  GTFO

For the series warriors -1.5 was -450.  And there were multiple million dollar bets on that.  Means GS has to win 4-2 at worst.  The older I get and the closer I get to the bookmakers in Vegas, the more I believe conspiracies.

This. Vegas and the lines control the outcomes of the games. They were so sloppy about it they got caught doing it a few years ago lol.

But in my mind it wasn't the call, it was going to the monitors to reverse it without going by the leagues own rules. You have to have a question about the restricted zone to go to the monitors. That wasn't the case, they just needed ti overturn it. At least change the rules to be more vague if you are going to screw up the officiating and have to overturn it for the correct outcome.

Shouldn't a lane violation give a redo in a free throw too? Oops, missed that one as well. Damn GS gets lucky.

"Thursday’s Cavaliers-Warriors NBA Finals Game 1 earned a 12.3 overnight rating on ABC, down a tick from last year (12.4), down 6% from 2016 (13.1), and the lowest for the NBA Finals opener since Heat-Spurs in 2014 — the last time the event did not feature the Cavs-Warriors matchup.

Golden State’s overtime win, which Cleveland could have won in regulation if not for an all-time blunder by J.R. Smith, peaked at a 14.9. The two previous finals openers, which Golden State won by double-digits, peaked at a 13.9 and 14.8.

Compared to the first Cavaliers-Warriors finals game in 2015, which also went to overtime, the full game declined 5% (from 12.9) while the peak quarter-hour declined 4% (from 15.6).

Despite the decline, the 12.3 overnight is still the fourth-highest for Game 1 of the finals since 2002 on NBC (Nets-Lakers: 13.0). The top four are all Cavaliers-Warriors games.

Given the slight decline in the overnights, Game 1 could still end up with an increase in the final nationals.

Cleveland led all markets with a 36.1 rating, up 8% from last year (33.4) and up a tick from 2016 (36.0). The Bay Area turned in a 31.1, up 1% from last year (30.9) but down 5% from 2016 (32.8). Compared to the teams’ last OT Game 1 in 2015, Cleveland declined 13% (from 41.4) and the Bay Area increased 25% (from 28.8)."

The Warriors did not sell out Game 1 of the NBA Finals

Must be tough between 5 dollar gas and horrible traffic to want to blow 2k on shitty tickets.

Did you read the beginning? What initiates the review is the restricted area. Since the charge qas called 4 feet outside of the restricted area, they shouldn't have been able to review the call at all.

That's fine, but to overturn a judgement call on a replay where you're reviewing whether he's in the restricted area - not whether the call is a block or a charge - is pretty garbage.

They have a script to follow. The rules dont matter because most of the fans dont know the details on the rules, they can do whatever they want.

    1527862964486_sp.jpg

They didn't go by the rule as an excuse to overturn the call in favor of GSW. Huge suprise.

Just like they waved off a 3 Harden made while getting fouled in game 7. Its so obvious they just call the game however they need to for the desired outcome.

4th annual Lebron vs. GSW finals is off to a great start. I'm sure Draymond will be reprimanded for constantly playing dirty and running his mouth.

  16. Lol if they can't even rig the games believably they may need to do some training with the pro wrasslin league.

How could they go to the monitors to overturn a charge into a block anyway? Cant they only review if they thought it was restricted area or not?

  17. How was the "game"? Haven't watched since game 6 Rockets.

All they are talking about on the sports show is TT getting thrown out of the game for playing defense on a meaningless shot after the game was over. Then baited into "scuffle" with the Warriors/refs. Lol the NBA is complete trash now it's hilarious.

Haha reading this thread I'm getting the refs were MVP again 3 strait warrior wins?
