  1. For sure, but the chances of even getting points from the sprint were tiny compared to the risk of damaging the car with qualifying coming up soon after imho. But it worked out. I just saw that KMag's wild drive today got him 3 penalty points - the same Alonso got for a bump in China. You can't make this shit up.
  2. Yeah and many others from what I've heard are very reasonable as well. I know Montreal is, and have heard Mexico City, Monaco, and Melbourne are as well. Something about those 'M" races. The American GPs seem to to be the big outliers afaik in terms of not only food prices but ticket prices and parking. Go to any other racing series in the US at other tracks, and prices are more than reasonable.
  3. Yeah Alonso bumps Carlos in the China Sprint: 10s and 3 penalty points. Stroll and Lewis take out Fernando and Lando: no investigation necessary. Seems legit. The L1T1 excuse is bullshit. That used to be resrerved for when it was just a big mass of cars crowding in and there was no clear culprit. When someone made an obviously bad move, they'd still get a penalty. Now they just won't penalize almost any kind of move on L1T1, regardless of how clearly a driver fucks up. And I dunno why Aston Martin even sent Alonso back out there to ride around at the back, with Qualifying and the race coming up.
  4. Seems like Eddie was shootin' straight ... Adrian Newey insists he currently has "no plan" to join one of Red Bull's Formula 1 rivals, admitting he needs "a bit of a break". https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/adrian-newey-says-he-has-no-plan-for-next-f1-challenge/10606543/
  5. Yeah the guys out at Cotton Bowl and Heart of Texas care more about their cars than those dudes do. It's crazy.
  6. Yeah I like it. I wouldn't want it all the time, but I like it. My buddy just sent me this lol.
  7. Man, having a nonstop to Montreal simplifies a Canadian GP trip sooooo much.
  8. Yeah, you wanna see a whole bunch of torn up Ferraris - go to a Ferrari Challenge weekend. Pure carnage.
  9. FIA and F1 team bosses agree to change rule after Lando Norris escaped penalty https://www.f1oversteer.com/news/fia-and-f1-team-bosses-agree-to-change-rule-after-lando-norris-escaped-penalty/#:~:text=So%2C from this weekend's Miami,at the 2019 Japanese GP. ... and
  10. If he has to go to a team, then it's Aston Martin or Andretti for me. I'd love to see a free-for-all in his absence, though. And the way Eddie was talking, that might happen ....
  11. Yeah that was clearly intentonal, bloodying and possibly even breaking Seguin's nose. The TV ref guy said it looked like an elbow at first but he actually only ended up hitting him with his arm. So fucking what? The intent was for it to be an elbow, and he still gave him a cheap shot that put blood on the ice. And out of all that, the maximum penalty they can give is 2 minutes? What in the actual fuck.
  12. Nice nod to the Razor there in that headline ...
  13. Do those guys need a dominant car to win? I'd rather Newey retire, so we can maybe see them and others battling it out without a dominant car on the grid. Or just, you know, sign with Andretti to help them get in and get going... https://www.nbcnews.com/sports/us-congress-members-demand-answers-andrettis-exclusion-formula-1-rcna150189
