Watching on MLB.TV ... why no option for SCHN's broadcast tonight?

CoTA sounds like it sucks
Yeah I've said from the beginning when he started off on all these tangents: It's a race track. Just focus on having the best racing facility you can, with as much great racing as you can host, with the best racing fan experience possible, and sit back and watch all that money flow in. It's not rocket surgery.

Formula 1 2025
Yep. The hard could have done a full race distance pretty eassily imho. Stupid.

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
That's what I thought. I was watching, trying to determine a pattern, but couldn't.

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
Oh, absolutely. I've said it a million times. 'No pass, no play'.

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
That was absolutely the touch of the match for me. Fantastic.

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
Yeah I didn't really see that as a 'benching' either. they were doing the same in the other sets, too, but Ella would always come back in. Weren't they just taking Ella out when she was heading to the back row & wouldn't be a factor in the block?

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
Yeah every time I started to complain about the setting today, I remembered how crazy the passing was. It wasn't our best day passing the ball, to put it nicely.

2025 Texas Volleyball - Locked and Reloaded
Yeah, we were there. I was thinking the same thing. Crowd really, really brought the noise and made it a bit tougher on Tree there in the 5th. Loud AF. Got damn, that was fun.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Man, anyone who watches that clip above & thinks Arch doesn't look hurt, I dunno what to tell you. Is he hurt bad enough or in an area where he's risking more damage by playing? No way for us to know. But it's pretty evident to me that he's dealing with a physical problem that's limiting his throwing ability. He did mostly do better today than a week ago, so who knows? Maybe it's improving somewhat. We'll see.

CoTA sounds like it sucks
My boy is going to tomorrow because he needs to to keep building his portfolio of motorsport pics. He caught the bug from me. Of course, T15-1 don't exactly offer a lot in the way of a good variety of action shots, but he can't be choosy right now. I'm not going, because why? To sit at spots I don't like and watch the cars on the screens (if they happen to be working)? My 19 yo was gonna go until he saw on reddit that most of the fans areas would be closed. I found out from him. So yeah, 2 paddock passes, several tickets, and some A lot parking passes will go unused because (for us, like many people) what's the point of going if you can't walk the track. And if you don't like my 'act' (narrator: It's not an act), then save yourself from it & don't read my stuff. Oh yeah. Fuck that little bitch pos Epstein. Fucker has taken about half a billion $$$ from the State of Texas (yes, billion, with a b). So far. You'd think with all that money Hot Wheels has thrown at him, he could afford to provide minimum staffing, and that buying a ticket would get us full access to view the whole circuit.

Yep. And WEC prototypes on the edge through the esses, passing sportscars on the outside of 6 or 8, and screaming through 9 & 10. I mean ... I can remember seeing that back in the day. It's been a while since that was allowed though.

Fuck off with that shit. You think the slowest area of the track is the best? OK, cool. A whole lot of people don't. But even if you do think that, don't you like to see some other parts of the track from time to time? I have my favorite parts of the track at every track I go to, but I like to see the whole track over the course of a weekend, to see how the different cars perform in different areas, the different lines different drivers are trying, etc. As for my 'irrational hate', you must not have seen how other fans are reacting to it. I can tell you don't go to COTA much, or if you do, you don't go to other tracks where they give a fuck about the fans and try to do things the right way, to provide a good fan experience and a quality product. Like I said, go to some other pro sports event & see how well you like it when you show up and can only see 1/3 of the field. Oh, never mind, because that would never happen. But I'm sure you'd be perfectly fine with it if they closed all of your favorite COTA viewing spots, right? Sure you would. COTA management is off the charts bush-league. It's embarrassing.

Not for seeing what what F1 cars and WEC prototypes are designed to do ... but it's all subjective. Everyone can decide what they like best - if the track's open as it should be. Even if they were the best parts, you should still be able to go and see everything and then decide. It's so crazy. Imagine paying full price to go to a baseball or football game, only to get there and find out you can see 1/3 of the field. Welp, that's what they've done here.

If you were thinking about it, don't bother going out there. Everything is fenced off from the exit of T1 to the T15 grandstand. Me & my boys were given free tickets, Paddock Passes, and parking passes for the whole weekend. No point in even going though if we can only see a third of the track, and can't see the best parts.

So it looks like fans are limited to T12 or T15 to T1. And that's it. I asked on reddit whether the esses were blocked off. Dude responded with this pic. Everything is fenced off from the exit of T1 to the T15 grandstand. Can't even get on the bridge. Fuck Epstein so much.

Formula 1 2025
The train ride from Zermatt down to Milan is soooo epic. It's just amazing.

Fuck Bobby Epstein. ETA: The way that dotted line is drawn, it actually looks like maybe it's blocked off from just after T1 almost to 12. Nothing surprises me at COTA anymore. Well ... I guess I'd be surprised at them doing things well, but that rarely happens.

LOL, shitty HPU is equally shitty to both teams in Yankees' loss, so the narrative today is that the ump cost the Yankees the game ... because of course it is.

Formula 1 2025
Missed this before. Yep. Good point. He'll be a bit older when he finishes his stint in F2, and if he doesn't come away as a champion he might not get a seat. Meanwhile, I guess it's good optics for the American factory team.

I need a hip joint ortho doctor in Austin
Update: Had my left hip replaced 10/6/2024. Procedure was as easy as could possibly be expected. Walked out that afternoon wih a new hip. Rehab was all done at home via instructions and videos on a dedicated app. Easy. Gets a bit tedious, but there's no way around that. Result of the rehab was fantastic. New hip works great. No pain. Able to MTB around here, Downhill MTB, play sand volleyball, hiking, swimming, etc. No pain. None. Haven't tried skiing/snowboarding again since the replacement, but that's in the works. Now, my right hip has been hurting for about 3 months after all the increased activity, so I'm gonna go in and finish the job with a new right hip. It was always just a matter of time for the right one as well. It was just a little behind the left in terms of damage and inflammation. Still going with Heinrich. Surgery set for 10/27/2025. Not looking forward to the down time and the rehab tedium, but at least I'll have football, Stars hockey, F1, etc. And 2 good, new hips. /csb Also, Mrs. Wood (no pics you filthy bastards) recently had her knee replaced by Heinrich as well. Rehab is longer and more diifficult than with a hip, but in the end, she's pain free in her knee for the first time since I met her almost 30 years ago. If you're in pain and are on the fence about replacing a hip or a knee, my honest rec is to get off the fence and do it. Life is too short to be in pain with limited mobility all the time if you can help it. I wish I would have had my left hip done sooner, and I hear the same all the time from others who have had a hip replacement.
