  1. Yeah, so, I was wondering about that lol. "What's this? A paycheck for ants?"
  2. Yep, all of that, and sometimes they hit the Bull. Such a bullshit rule.
  3. Not just flights. Even racecars can make contrails. They just don't freeze and hang in the air like the airborne ones do. I've personally shot numerous photos like these, of F1 & IndyCar wingtip vortices, but it was a easier to just google some than to go find those.
  4. Heh ... Richard Mille watches worth ‘hundreds of thousands of dollars’ stolen during F1 weekend https://www.kxan.com/news/crime/richard-mille-watches-worth-hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars-stolen-during-f1-weekend/
  5. Yeah I hate that rule. I'm fine with intentionally walking someone whenever you want, but the pitcher should always have to throw the pitches.
  6. You mean automatic intentional BBs, or all intentional BBs?
  7. Hmm ... subscribed.
  8. Sweet. My baseball viewing in my 90s will be lit!
  9. The Mexican GP weekend ... begun, it has.
  10. I think, iirc, one way they can get away with it is by saying that the flyover was a training mission, as in 'We were going to log training hours in this area anyway. We just decided to log them here' (after being asked or directed to do so, of course). They can and do log all sorts of flights as training missions. Some actually are. Some are just moving a person or an aircraft from A to B, or all kinds of other stuff. That's still, as you say, a military flyover though, no matter how they dress it up. No idea if that's what they did here, of course.
  11. Yep. Right after it I wondered how many MAGAts immediately said "Sounds like some Radical Left Lunatic propaganda", and then looked at the screen and saw who it was.
  12. Glad that he pointed out that despite Trump's obvious lie, ain't no fentanyl coming from South America.
  13. Huh. I guess I'm taking crazy pills then, 'cuz I coulda swore I saw a big container of Nestle Quik for about $15 at the HEB the other day (it was open). That was just down the aisle from the 6-pack of Hershey's with almonds for $8.24. Coffee, chocolate, & a whole lot of other shit is abso-fucking-lutely through the roof.
  14. I think re: the tire situation, it's as has been alluded to earlier (that the biggest problem among many is the current data-driven nature of the sport, i.e. it doesn't really matter so much what kind of tire you throw at it, the data crunchers will analyze / simulate it to fucking death and spit out what is likely the quickest and often most boring strategy, which almost everyone will run some variation of).
  15. Hionestly, I can't remember. What I do remember is that it didn't take long after the 'ban' for a race to have a flyover, with the news reports saying it wasn't actually a military flyover or somesuch, and that's why it was allowed.
  16. OBTW, If our next turf is still artificial, can we at least haz dirt around all the bases? JFC that annoys the fuck outta me.
  17. Hell, not too long ago that was all parking lot anyway.
  18. This got the gears turning in my head, so I thought I'd see what's up at San Marcos Toyota. This is the very first thing I saw on their page ...
  19. Got damn ... we bought our first home (our current one) for $200K in 2001 when I was 36 and Mrs. Wood (no pics you filthy animals) was 30 ... and I thought I was really late and had been a huge lollygagger. Man, our poor kids.
  20. It's like everything else in F1. There are loopholes to be exploited.
  21. No doubt, and yeah, I knew you were just the messenger there. Wasn't trying to shoot you!
  22. nsiap ... AOC saying what I've been saying for a while now, although much more eloquently of course. 'They are weaker than they look ... They rely on the impression of power ... They are underwater across the board, and they know it ... They will experience the consequences of this, but we have to be the consequence'.
