  1. Hopefully keeping the Mater Dei pipeline open. #4 ranked Edge in 2025 https://247sports.com/Player/Nasir-Wyatt-46125846/
  2. No 5-stars at all in the QB room after Bryce? Seems ominous. Prolly ought to just shut down the whole program.
  3. ctj told us Aggy was willing to spend whatever it took to keep Hale from going to Texas. So I guess the Aggy bags finally showed up.
  4. It's Rocko, isn't it. He refuses to trade in his used Corvette to pay for NIL. We'll need to check in on his paycheck before we can determine how much he can afford to spend on NIL.
  5. Houston drafted Davis Mills in the third round after one and a half mediocre seasons, mainly because he was a five-star out of high school.
  6. I can safely assume that @dcar00 was targeted in the earhole a few hundred times. It's the only explanation.
  7. You just never spend the principal. You collect $10MM, invest it in something semi-liquid, and then pay out from the yearly dividends. If you can get 10% return on your investment, that's $1mm available to go to the players. Then, each year you solicit more donations to increase the amount of money in the fund.
  8. I will not sit here and let you besmirch the fine character of Arizona State University. This is ASU, not Texas Tech, sir.
  9. Deion is more likely at ASU, but I don't think Marion will be at Texas very long. He's destined for bigger things.
  10. Banks never got in front of his man (#3), who ends up making the play. If Banks makes that block, this is perhaps a TD.
  11. Caesar's Line has moved all the way from 4 to 6.5 . Perhaps big money thinks Ewers is playing this week?
  12. @immamac is more Dog Day Afternoon than Serpico.
  13. Guys like Andrew Luck, Matt Leinart, and Matt Barkley, came back for their senior seasons - even though they were projected top 10 picks. I imagine it would have been way easier to make that decision in the NIL era. Besides, if somebody wants to pull an Eli Manning and decide which NFL team to play for, there could be leverage in returning for NIL money.
  14. @Bevo got there first, but I'm curious whether we will be content to wait for guys to opt-in to the portal, or if we're going to be more brazen about recruiting guys to enter the portal.
  15. I for one, would like video proof. (of the hat being eaten).
  16. Aggy is way better. Don't you know that 64 is way bigger than 29, you stupid sip?
  17. There's also a possibility that some of the larger schools enter into a gentleman's agreement not to poach each other's players. It would be interesting to see how that would be treated from an anti-trust perspective, since it's typically frowned upon to conspire amongst competitors to keep wages low, but it's also mostly illegal (state laws vary) to entice athletes to enroll based on the promise of money.
  18. There's also a chance Congress passes some sort of NIL legislation. Several bills have been proposed from both sides of the aisle. (no CR)
  19. DPS were instructed to not arrest for low-level possession a while back https://www.texastribune.org/2019/08/01/texas-dps-marijuana-cite-and-release-hemp/ That may have changed in the last couple years.
  20. Except that when the state of Texas legalized CBD, they made it almost impossible to get a conviction on a possession of Marijuana. It would require them to send the sample to a lab to get the THC content percentage. Which is usually not worthwhile to do. So, a decent lawyer will get the charge thrown out. Still dumb to get caught, though.
